Why don't you do a nandroid backup instead?
I prefer to use bart personally because it backups AND restores the ext partition

also, follow the [2.3] link in my signature to find more info on link2sd
PM me if you need more help
EDIT, make sure your second partition is at the end of the sd card, not the begining,
Also, just download instal-recovery2.sh from the link above and put it into system/etc and changer permissions to

Link2sd was also working fine until i updated it, then it happened the same problem he mentioned in his post. To be more specific, was after reboot that i noticed that problem, almost all my apps were missing (all that were linked didnt showed in app drawer), in link2sd was that mount error. Just to be sure, i made a clean rom install on the phone, installed link2sd, rebooted to install/detect the 2nd partition, no problems so far, installed an app, linked it, the app was working so the linking worked. Rebooted the phone, after that reboot, the mount problem attacked again. after everytime i rebooted, link2sd got the same error again and again, i tryed with boot recovery formating and with a PC partition formating tool. I had the previous version backuped, installed it and problems disappeared. Some guys complained about the same in a portuguese forum. the conclusion they reached was when link2sd programmer(s) fixed the 2nd partition bug for some devices, some others started to have that problem.

[Q] Help with frameworkmod_for_vo_1_23_01_odex

HI Guys,
I have just installed CyanogenMod 7.2-cooper-KANG-RC0-Android 2.3.7 on my SGA and i have a little issue after installing the frameworkmod_for_vo_1_23_01_odex.
I followed all steps explained on the post: format /system and mount /system and /data / reboot but my phone don't pass the bootloading after flashing the fameworkmod.
Please if anyone knows the solve let me know
Thank you
PD. Apologies for my poor English
Hi aniancito!
I think your problem is that you did a format /system and you DON'T have to do it after installing a rom because if you do you will get stuck in "Android" screen.
My advise, before the installation, do a mount /cache/system/data, format data/cache, wipe dalvik cache and then install the frameworkmod. After the installation, proceed the same way you did before.
I hope it helped my friend and let me know if it worked ok?
Have a great day

Its like the one for MROM w/o the M in the bar...now says TOPSMARTS.
I made an undo zips for you, just follow the instruction in my other thread.
I let you the files in the attached.
Error STATUS 0
I will give a try, thanks for your effort!
Edit:
For the fellow with status 0: put the file on your sd-card (not internal), go to mounts and storage in the cwm, mount system, mount data, unmount emmc and try again.
The theme flashed well, but the status bar is not transparent :s

S3 i9300 - UIDS on the system are inconsistent I have tried everything Please help??

Hello everyone! i really need help please? My old S3 (i9300 UK) is getting passed to my son, the ROM in it was old and i wanted a newer one in it so the phone is ROOTED/unlocked and i tried to install the Omega ROM but every time on boot the phone goes Very slow and tells me that " UIDS on the system are inconsistent you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable.ā€™ I always click on ā€˜Iā€™m feeling lucky button" i have seen on this forum that other people have had this issue and i have deleted the " Cache partition" but when i reboot the same thing comes back? and tells me also Google play services has stopped? i am not worried if its a stock or a custom ROM but can anyone tell me how to either solve this or do a FULL ROM install please?
Many thanks )))))
Wipe "/data" in recovery. Don't worry as it won't wipe your ROM. But it will wipe all your saved data on the phone (SD Card data will be saved)
