[Q]Messed up battery drain - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

I'm on blazer from 1.3 and Android system is draining 70+% of my battery. That is definitely NOT normal. I've been on blazer since the day I bought the phone, on 7/2. Anyway, here are some screenshots of battery usage.
Its been doing this since yesterday 7/7. Any help?

[Q] AT&T Samsung Galaxy Express Battery/Texting issues

Hello all!
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Express for my mother-in-law and there are already a few issues. I have an sgh-i777 GS2 and my wife has the GS3, so I am no stranger to Samsung or android. Here is what is happening with the Express:
When fully charged and not using the phone at all (being on standby) the battery life is MAYBE 9 hours until down to 5% and then the phone shuts off. She is using GoLauncherEX and GoSMS, but everything else is stock that came on the phone. It is NOT rooted and I have never "played" with it. The phone is about 5 days old to her and I cannot understand why the battery life is so short. My GS2 with the same apps running a live background, GPS, and 4G while using Pandora and the internet roughly 5-6 hours a day has a battery life of about 14 hours. The only difference that I can see really is that her CPU is clocked at 1.5Ghz, but it also has a 2000 mAh battery, and mine only has a 1350. This all made me think the battery may have been a lemon from the factory, at least until the next issue occurred.
Earlier today, we discovered that she was not receiving text messages AT ALL, but can send them all day. If anyone has any input, it would be greatly appreciated. I could not find a forum for this particular phone because it is so new I guess, so that is my reason for posting here. Thanks in advance!

[SOLVED]Galaxy S2 Screen Battery drain

Hey,guys. My dad recently give away his Galaxy S2,and I updated it to 4.1.2 android JB.I noticed that the battery drains faster than on ginger bread,I looked at the battery stats and it shows that the screen uses 44% of battery.Next day I checked it showed 56%.Is it normal?
BTW I went to bed when my phone battery was 89%.When I woke up it was 79%.I did the battery calibration by charging to 100% taking off the battery and putting it back on after 5min.But I don't see the difference after that. Please help!

Yes it's normal.Jb hogs on battery .You can follow the many battery saving tips that have been posted. If you came from GB i figure your battery must be pretty old.It might require a replacement.

Thanks very much, the phone is 2 years old probably I will replace the battery
i am just new to Android and suprised how dull the display is on my S2 at its lowest setting. Coming from Blackberry where my device was always at 10% brightness. its seems that blackberrys were brighter than my S2, both on the lowest settings.
That being said, i now have my S2 at full brightness and the battery drain is worse than i expected it to be. a small thing when the OS is so good and the whole phone works so fast. i was living in the dark ages. lol.
My device is 39% for screen and so maybe a new battery for you may help. make sure you get a official S2 battery and not a cheaper one from Ebay of that. found the cheap one to have low capaicty even if they say that they are the same or higher than the official ones.

Galaxy S2 Battery life cycles

This is not a complaint about daily battery life of S2, but a general discussion thread about S2 battery on the whole.
I've now had S2 for over 2 years; 26 months to be precise. I never had complaints about day to day battery life. For my usage it easily lasted for over a day.
But since a month or so, I'm requiring to charge it every 12 hours or so. I came to know that a Li-Ion battery has a particular number of recharge cycles that it will last and it will just fall of the cliff after it reaches that threshold. Am I in that region now?
Any one of you who had S2 for 2 years bought a new battery already?
Edit: I've checked with 'battery' app and its health shows as 'Good'.
2 years? Its about time to change your battery mate its dying bro...
I'll change mine to 1850mAh Sun Global brand battery...never regret
Reason i not choose stock battery is bcoz here to many clone battery, i cant trust even samsung shop hehe

You did well to get two years out of one.
I've had my S2 for 22 month now and I never had complaints about battery life. I had around 1.5 days standby time. But since a week I noticed an extreme lost of capacity. The battery is empty after 10 hours standby now. I was wondering if such a capacity lost is possible or if that is a software bug.
Another thing I noticed is that the battery falls from 50% to 5% if I reboot my phone. I guess that must be a software bug.

Excessive battery drain or just heavy usage?

Mainly what the title says, my galaxy s3 has been used quite heavily over the past 2 weeks, just after flashing the last 4.1.2 update, xxemg4. With wifi on(browsing Internet, etc) it won't last more than 11 hours more or less... I am pretty sure that when I had xxemc2 (the one that was pre installed on the phone) Battery life was better... Any ideas? Or am I using it too heavily?

Screen on time is a better indicator of battery life if you are a heavy user, anything over 5hrs is good.

Galaxy S4 Battery help

I bought a used Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 which came with a GT-I9500 battery not too long ago and noticed that the battery drains quickly, I was updating about 7 apps from google play store and it consumed about 7-8% of the battery and when I browse on google chrome or any other app I lose about 4% in 10 minutes, out of curiosity I opened the back of my phone and removed the battery and saw a weird liquid in the place where I put the battery and this happened twice. Can you please tell me what this weird liquid is and is the quick battery draining related or is it a problem from the S4 ?
I don't know if I need to buy a new battery because idk where the problem comes from
