That's lame.
I remember that I could use CM7 ROMs in my old Xperia X8 with stock kernel. It was a stupid move trying to unlock the bootloader to change kernel, I just bricked my phone.
I have tried, but it has some problems (automatic light sensor doesn't work for me) and wifi drops signal sometimes. Stay @ fxp 9.0 :cyclops:

Yes, I did when I had my Xperia X8 alive. Check their section, they have a lot of ROMs based in CM7 Android 2.3.7 that work in stock kernel. The only neccesary things are root and CMW.
As I said, my big error was trying to unlock the bootloader just to use a ROM that needed a custom kernel, I don't know why I did it when other ROMs always worked fine, like GingerDX... I bricked my X8 forever, that's why I bought my Ray and I won't mess with the bootloader again.
I guess is due the different kernel architectures, or it's because SONY allowed to unlock bootloaders on the Xperia 2011 line, but it's very disappointing that most of the ROMs for Xperia Ray need unlocked bootloaders and customized kernels. That's why Hybrid 3.2, Superleggera and MIUI for locked bootloaders are a bless for us. @JJ Doctor, @arcatarc and @OatnezrA are true heroes :good:

Dont know mate, I got ray and neo v on my table ready to get out of sony stock and for some reason i just cant install it on them.
May be i will never by an another sony phone again
In last 12hrs i tried almost everything, flashed FXP129 CM9 no luck, tried to flash official cm9 rc1 same thing no damn luck.
this ray is booloader unlocked via s1tool, rooted and has cwm recovery but i still cant flash any rom on it. It's frustrating :silly:
dont use FXP129 kernel its a bad kernel . and when you flash rom did you flash the kernel ? because CM9 RC1 kernel is also a bad kernel . the best working kernel is FXP 128 and the FXP128 rom .

First you flash latest stock rom (.62) via flash tool.
If it is not working then
first flash x kernel via flashboot mode in flash tool
install ROM (hybrom v10) via CWM.
After that install ROM (hybrom v12) via CWM without wiping any data, cache partition and dalvik cache.
hope it will help you to solve this touchscreen problem.
@jk347.. can u upload the hybrom v10 since hybrom now is closed
@someguy.. im using realics v4 for xperia mini pro (mango)

EDIT: could you please upload stock rom .62? coz mine is .42 is it ok to flash even if not .62?
I encountered error when flashing .62 --> never got success. But nothing problem when flashing .42.

when I flashing hybrom v17 in .42 gets stuck in sony logo.. can u upload guys the stock rom of .62 ftf files?
Hybrom requires unlocked bootloader and custom kernel to run.
For stock firmware files, check my signature link.
@someguy.. yes i already unlocked bootloader .. and use xkernel for the hybromv17.. since I used .42 when i flash xkernel and install custom kernel gets stock at logo.. but when I used .62 it works..now i dont see any .62 ftf here for mini pro ..

Try This
1: flash stock Rom
2:Flash Rom that Bricked your touch
3:flash stock rom again
If reinstalling stock rom doesn't work then it's hardware related issue. You have to change the touchscreen

U must have flashed a wrong version
Touchscreen usually fails when u FLASH A WRONG FTF
Try relocking ur bootloader and send it to service center

I flashed MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.54_Global.ftf
Recovery works, so I flashed my Paranoid Unicorn, MIUI, CM9, AOKP, Ultimate Sola, Pure blood, Paranoid Android v1.4, none of them worked.
It sounds like a hardware problem mate, relock bootloader and repair service.

Really friend'm one week without my phone thanks to this rom, or thanks to my stupidity, but the problem and tried everything but no solution so far, I'm sad without my LWW
Some help here, I'm already a week without my phone please, I've tried everything and nothing so far, the information I have is that the rom that caused all this was the Ultimate HD 5.0.1, installed as Xperia Pro, installing roms found that with Active roms it works a certain part of the screen, but for putting a stock again, please help

Hi are you sure you're refering to coolancool's Xperia Ultimate HD 5.0.1?
As you can see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486064
He released his rom October 16, while you posted your problem Oct 15 and you indicated there that you have this problems for more than 3 days.
So I think you might be referring to the wrong rom..
Maybe what you installed is this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1920207
Which is the same version BUT for Sony Xperia Arc & Xperia arc S & Sony Xperia Pro. Which is why I think it installed as Xperia Pro. It is clearly not for our LWWs.
That is why coolancool ported it for our xperia 2011 devices so it could work for our LWWs.
