Hi, I have an unlocked Touch Dual with Russian rom, and I'm trying to load an English rom. I keep getting the following error message: error (294) invalid vender ID. I'd really appreciate some step by step instructions as to how to deal with this. I'm a total novice, so please be gentle with me

hey,
im following tis forum for a while now and read about flashing roms and using hardspl and such, but i dont get it. i dont know which step to take first, which rom is best to download. i really like the s600 display driver to be in the rom. because that will make my mobile alot faster
can somebody explain to me how to flash my touch dual?
got wm6.0 ATM
btw im dutch, so if anyone dutch can help me (msn maybe? )

First backup anything you like to keep. Installing HardSPL will erase all data
Install HardSPL:

and then just follow step 1-9 (skip 7)
when this is done, it will enable you to flash any rom of your choise

Go to HTC.com and download the ROM from there, you should get the right rom when you write in the S/N from the back of your phone (under battery)

If you already flashed with HardSPL you can just connect using activesync and start the RUU or whatever it downloads as. If you havent flashed with HardSPL, follow this link and read the first post and follow instructions starting at step 2.
