So I'm rooted running flex 1.71, i flashed the latest firmware and radios and since then i have been having problems with the browser, random reboots, some apps taking forever to load like Facebook and xda even on wifi
What would be the best thing to do to try to fix this, flash the old radios back, i tried to do a fresh install of the rom but didn't help
Any help is appreciated

You can flash the older radio that you were on before, but I do not think there is anyway currently to go back to the older firmware.
Here's Captain Throwback's radio thread: http://themikmik.com/showthread.php...dio-Collection&p=220556&viewfull=1#post220556

Is it as easy as flashing the backup in cwm or do I have to flash the stock radio in recovery 1st?

Depends on which froyo backup you have. If it's one of the newer froyo builds then it's compatible with the newest radios. If it's an older froyo build then you have to go back to the old radios.
It's stock rooted. 2.2.1

Your question was answered.. but I think you didn't quite follow. Like one of the posters said.. if your Froyo Backup is that of a NEWER Froyo backup (MR2 Froyo software no. 1.66.xx).. then yes.. you can restore GB & Froyo Backups back and forth without any issue since they both work on the same radio.
If your Froyo is older.. then you'd have to flash the appropriate radios every time you restore.
That's why I posted which backups I have... I'm not too sure about them... The one is the latest official software. Is that what you mean by newer froyo software?

Your not going to hurt anything. If you want to restore your Froyo backup go ahead. If it boots up and dosent have service then its an older build and you will need to flash a older radio. This one should work.
http://www.multiupload.com/V2ED7Y5EU2
If that radio dosent work or you would like to see the thread it came from it is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1045081
Edit: From your post eariler, you flash radios in HBOOT, rename the radio file to PG05IMG.zip and place in the root of your sd card. Boot into HBOOT (phone off, hold volume down and power) phone will flash the radio. The ROMS are flashed in recovery.
Edit2: After you are done flashing the radio file, after the phone reboots, delete or rename the radio file so it dosent try to reflash the next time you go into HBOOT. ok im done editing now.

Ah sorry I didn't get back to the thread sooner. It makes sense that if it was an older froyo build you'd need the old radios. There were only a small handful of ROM's for the new radios and they came out pretty recently.
Hey guys, I installed the new venom Rom coming from the latest ics leak, I love everything about this Rom but I noticed that my baseband reverted back to the gb versions, I was never able to get 4g in my area on these old versions. I tried restoring back to the ics Rom and still have the old baseband. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
**UPDATE**
I got everything updated with a flash of an ICS RUU. I Relocked bootloader, flashed file, New Basebands and Hboot.

Uh.... what? No ROM out there does this. It would be highly irresponsible and dangerous to include radio updates in a ROM, and that ROM definitely doesn't have a radio update in the zip

Hmm.. It has me stumped. I thought it was kinda odd that even after restoring my ICS backup that had the new basebands it still restored with the old basebands.

The basebands aren't part of the rom nor are they stored when you do a nandroid backup of a rom. If you reverted them, you didn't do it from installing a new rom.
Any chance you s-off'd the phone lately?

Are you confusing the build number with the baseband numbers?
It is impossible to flash a radio in recovery so there is no was switching roms did this

My phone is still S-on for now, and I'm looking at the basebands (0.95.00.1118R, 0.95.00.1223R) I think ill try to flash the ICS RUU again and see what happens.

So I've been dying to try out the CM10 ROM but I found out the usual flashing doesn't work since I'm on the newest HBOOT, but if I flash an older rooted version of a stock ROM will it also put me on the older HBOOT so that I could flash it the usual way?

As far as I know, it isn't possible yet. Just don't do any ota updates.

No, the ROM is separate from the bootloader. You can fastboot flash a kernel with the new hboot (which you'll need to do for cm10) by following the instructions in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1794867
There is currently no way to downgrade you hboot version.
Sent from my EVO LTE
You dont need the older H-boot, all you need to do is learn how to correctly flash a kernel with your h-boot.
There are many methods available
I am ready to throw this Flyer under my truck, and since development here has petered out, I'm desperate. I have a Wifi Flyer with the 1.11 HBoot. I was able to "root" it, but I'm still S-On.
I'm currently on 3.61.1540.31
I have CWM installed, but I lost my stock backup.
What I want to do is get completely bone stock, not rooted and flash a stock RUU.
I don't care about downgrading. I just want my Flyer the way it used to be before I screwed it up.
PLEASE HELP
You can wipe data, cache, etc in the cwm and use the appropriate RUU.
Would a 3.55.1540 RUU work? Because that's the closest one I can find to mine.

Well, great news. I found a more specific downgrade guide on another site and found out I was having trouble extracting the ROM.zip from the RUU. Once I got that, it was all easy. Now rooted, running 2.3.4 and very happy. Not upgrading because I like GB Sense.

I am in the EXACT same boat as you. Glad to see your last post was as recent as this month.
Can you post how you got back to Gingerbread? Thanks.
Not sure what to do on this one and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'll start from the beginning. I was on m7 not having many issues and wanted to try some 4.4 roms. Went to flash beans, did full wipe etc and couldn't flash because of not having updated cwm. Was working and didn't want to mess with it too much so said nvm ill just restore back to m7 and fix it later. Md5 didn't match and couldn't restore at all. So I just rebooted and planned on starting over on m7. Once that kicked on I had no Google services at all. No gmail, play store etc. But I think (not 100%) that I still had service on the device. I downloaded cm10.2 and flashed gapps but once that booted up I had nothing. No data, wouldn't activate the device, only showed the number as all 0's. I have since flashed back to m7 to see if that was the problem but now that I'm back it's still not working at all. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm running to vzw to get a new Sim tomorrow just to cover all my bases. Thanks guys.

No I haven't. That's a good idea though. Once locked is it terrible to unlock again or just as easy as the first time?

In development section, there is a flashable zip to lock and unlock the bootloader by Scotty. Be sure to plus rep him for all his work.
If you are s-off, it would be simple to install a custom recovery and re unlock again after you ruu.

RUU back to stock, get service on stock ROM, then clean flash Viper. Once that works then try restoring your Viper backup.

I went all the way back to stock and it didnt work, I even flashed the old bootloader and radio and no bones. Used the Ruu method listed in .torrents thread tried factory reset after installing stock recovery and nothing. Just roaming. Instead of wherever I may roam its forever I may roam?
