Could the S3 get the superbrick like some of the other Samsung phones? Just curious before I start messing with mine...

Hi guys,
I have a quick question. I'm fairly new to Android and I am starting to discover the possibilities offered by rooting my device. Since I'm new at this I'm a bit afraid that something bad will happen and my phone will go kaput. My big concern is voiding my warranty on the phone. I read somewhere that on some phone its almost impossible to know the phone was rooted, whereas on some you couldn't ''close the door.'' My question is: in which category does the Rogers Galaxy Note falls into?
thank you.
You can unroot all android phones. Just restore to the stock firmware.
Its like iPhone jailbreaking and restoring to factory default.
Hi,
My rooted phone has experienced Sudden Death Syndrome. I've taken it back to a Samsung Service Centre and they want to charge me £174 to repair, because it's been rooted.
Is there anything I can do about this, or just pay the £174? I'll always have a sour taste at the back of my mouth about Samsung if I do end up having to pay this
Thanks in advanced, Stephen
Wrong forums friend, you posted in the Verizon GSIII (sch-i535) forums. Judging by your use of the euro, you need the i9300 forums:

I'll see if I can get a mod to move this thread for ya.
Take it again , and play dumb. This is the only way ... Its not stealing or lieing because its samsung's fault with their crappy kernels Say that your phone suddenly lagged , and turned off and wont turn on anymore ... Dont mention the rooting/custom mod stuff because they wont be able to detect they'll just replace the motherboard. Good luck
My friend hard-bricked his Galaxy S III while flashing a custom rom. At this point, it is completely unresponsive, and the LED does not light up under any circumstances.
I found a couple of guides on this website that appear pretty legit, but I'd need a debrick file for the international (european) version. However, I have thus far not been able to find one. I have another friend with a similar, working phone, and I could try getting it from his (as I understand it), but I am in doubt whether it would actually do anything - is it SDS, and will need a new motherboard, or can it be fixed with software?
I'd really appreciate any kind of help!
Thanks very much in advance.
Hey
Why dont u try a usb jig?? Just Google it..
If that doesn't work try jtag ( if u have sone experience with repairs ONLY!! )
Sent from my Amazing Galaxy S III...!
Hi,
Today i took my bricked Samsung Galaxy Ace to a store to flash my device using JTAG. After the appearence of error RAMDUMP MODE the phone never started again.
The person in the store told me that Samsung/Google now are "tracking" devices with custom firmwares (which mine had), and blocking the phone if they have this CFW installed. I really doubt of that information because i am bit informed about these things and never really heard something about this.
Can anyone confirm or tell me that this is a joke/bull****?
From a Google point of view this is stupid because Google don't earn nothing by blocking phones. From Samsung perspective it makes sense, if you buy another Samsung phone when the old one is bricked
Of course if this is true we never really own our phones, even if we pay 500€+ for them.
Thanks for the help!
