Dial *#06# and see if your IMEI is all zeroes. If it is, it is borked.

Error code 67

So I was on hboot 1.5 (2.17) and wanted to downgrade. Calls, sms and data were all working fine. Did a nandroid, downgraded successfully and ran 1.13 ruu.
Booted up and still had all working, now with hboot 1.4 so I did revolutionary method for s-off and it seemed it wiped all my data, sms and calls.
Had weird phone # (00000728, something like that) but I had a backup I made on QPST so I restored and had calls and sms back but not data.
I restored my nandroid hoping there was a chance but nothing happened. When I turn mobile network on, I keep getting error code 67 and can't surf the web.
Also, I'm on a Mexican network (Iusacell) and my EVO is CDMA.
Any ideas of what can I do?

before root had that problem. went to update profile under settings -- system updates and that fixed it.
Do a hands free activation to get your data back. ##72786# then it will ask you to enter you MSL and then let it do its thing. It will check for prl and software updates. Make sure you press cancel for software updates. You should be good to go then.

Had the same issue a while back, I did all those tricks from before and still had the same error. I had to call up my service provider and then ended up resetting my network/data connection and it was fixed.
I also had it happen again but this was was due to a second error. I was running an airwave and I just had to reboot it and it was fine again.

This is correct. This is a problem on the carriers end and you need to call and have them reprovision your line. Fast and easy.

[Q]Galaxy S3 Not Reading Sim Card?

I have the international GS3 and got it unlocked with a code and it worked fine on Orange network, while the phone is on Three, so then i flashed Omega 7 and rooted and it will no longer detect the Orange network, its just a circle with a line through on the status bar.
I thought maybe it wiped the unlocked but checked and it still says the phone is unlocked so i thought i would test and put back in the Three sim and it worked fine and then i had a old pay as you go o2 network sim and put that it and it gets a signal and the option to top up.
So i thought maybe the sim is faulty, and put it into my iPhone 4S and it gets signal and reads it, i followed the instructions and revered back to Stock to see if that fixed it but still the same problem.
Anyone have any ideas why or how to fix this?
Check your IMEI number

How would that help?

If your phone lost it's IMEI number, it will revert back to a default-number.
Some networks still accept the phone with that number but most don't.
Just checked with the three card in usig *#06# and a imei comes up so it can't be that or should I t do it with the not working orange card in?

IMEI is your device ID. Does it match the IMEI-number on the box or under the battery of your phone?
If not, you're on a generic one.
Yep its the same as the one on the box. I hm

Try another Sim and also check the Sim is locked into the receptacle properly.

I've tried two other network Sims and both work as well as the orange Sim works in my I phone.
Weird thing is when the orange sim. Is in the phone it shows the apn correct for orange but I just get the circle with line through where the signal should be.

CSC includes Orange ????
Network settings entered manually if not .
jje
Your SIM might be locked to your iPhone's IMEI or does it work in other devices?
I've only heard a few reports of such practices and none so far with Orange (regardless of country)
As above....check apn settings
I checked apn under three and the orange wasn't there. I put in orange sim and three apn is gone and orange are there and the correct settings but still the same stop sign looking symbol where network signal should be.
Not sure what csc is.
It worked before in the g3 before I flashed to the omega rom so don't think it could be locked to a phone

phone's imei doesnt match true imei
hello,
what does it mean that the imei given by the phone doesnt match the original imei written on the back of the phone?
If for some reason the rom you put on your phone screws up the IMEI and replaces it with a generic IMEI you now have a different IMEI than before. This was happening with the SGS2's a while back when flashing certain roms... Was fixed pretty fast and haven't heard about it happening again BUT there's always a chance and no guarantees...
Is there anyway to fix it back without any backups?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
It's actually happening quite a lot with the S3, especially the US-versions
Some people have claimed it to have been fixed when flashing a Stock ROM through Odin, but should it not be fixed then you'll need to have it repaired by Samsung.

There have been a few users claiming to have fixed it without Efs backups in the sgs2 forum (from fading memory). Have a search there, as any method will /should be similar
Worth a search/try, or as posted above, will need to return to Samsung

Use "k-tool" to backup your imei and keep it in a safe place(upload to dropbox and PC) and use APN manager to backup apn settings. Btw is a brilliant app to have when traveling
Edit:u can recover your missing imei nr. But be sure to have the original efs folder, especially NV-data.bin most not have tampered with

My imei is messed up

my imei is messed up the guy i got it from unlocked it from the galaxy unlock app which finds my unlock code and so when i try to call up samsung and give them my imei they say they cant find the phone and so do any of you guys know how to fix that
Your imei is located under your battery on a sticker on the phone. Call your carrier and give them the correct imei to enter into their system. No need to call Samsung.

I was messing around with Rogers GS2 LTE i727R to use it Mobilicity (AWS). I had to flash a T989 ROM (T-mobile) and radio, and somewhere along the way, I messed up and IMEI disappeared.
I just started from scratch (factory reset/flash rom/flash radio) and IMEI returned and the phone is working.
You may want to completely wipe the phone and flash your rom/kernel/radio carefully.
Oh, and make sure your phone is unlocked as well.

[unsolved]H+/3g data not working

4.1.2 modem mg4
Signal great. Calls/text good. Data crap
Checked apn all good. Deleted apn and redid still no data.
Will get data every so often. Very rare though.
Tried different roms same.
Doing my head in tried other modems same issue.
Any thoughts?

Nandroid, super wipe, flash stock 4.1.2 BTU with odin to test.
Found that making a new apn was the problem.
I only need access point name for net to work. But every new apn I made was adding " localhost" and port "41200" delete them Data works

Broken mobile network connection

Ive spent days trying to solve this so I figured I would post something here and hope for a little assistance. After flashing a rom I noticed I had no mobile network connection when I tried to make phone calls or send texts but my lte connects and works and I cannot figure out how to restore my connection. I flashed back to my stock backup and rebuilt my nv data twice and I flashed my stock mdk tar and still have the same issue data works but calls and texts tell me "no signal found for mobile networks". If someone could give me some help it would definitely be pretty cool.

This happened to me once. It happened by flashing an AOSP rom that set CDMA subscription to NV by default. The only fix would be to flash a AOSP rom and then check network settings. Make sure RUIM/ SIM is selected in CDMA subsription and not NV. These network settings cant be changed on TW builds. Plus make sure CDMA/LTE/EVDO is selected. Hopefully this is what happened and solves your problem.
Edit: also make sure roaming is set to automatic.
