I have unlocked the bootloader before with the instructions in XDA. However, the booting screen is quite ugly that many letters on the screen. I have seen that some guys got an unlocked Atrix with a red logo "M" at the middle and "unlock" on the top left hand corner. What makes the different and how can I unlock my Atrix with less words on screen?
Sorry for my bad English and my Atrix is HKTW version.
Sounds like your boot logo was deleted. Search for logo.bin in the Themes section and it will fix you right up.
Sorry for my bad language... What I want to describe is that, there will be two different displays after unlock bootloader by two different method. One is cleaner and one is quite messy. Just like the attached photos. What means the different and how can I unlock my bootloader with the output of and red "M" in the middle and unlock on the top left hand corner?? Thx...

What he said
Check the unlock Bootloader YouTube videos. One of them I remember was a four part video where the guy appeared to have the same issue as you and the video even explains how he fixed it...

Hi, I've had my new atrix for about two weeks. I've rooted and unlocked it. I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of the unlocked screen at boot. It lengthens my boot time and just plain. Any help is much appreciated.

I don't believe the boot logo lengthens your boot time, however if you're worried about boot time, then you can disable the boot animation by editing the build prop (system/build.prop) and change this value
debug.sf.nobootanimation=1
if it's plainness you're worried about then you can check out my tutorial on making and changing your boot logo

Thank you so much for this. What I mean is since I unlocked the bootloader it seems to stick on the stupid red M longer, and in the upper left hand side it says unlocked. But the M is boring so i'm going change it to something else, maybe droid killing apple . Again, thank you!

Hi,
Anybody know any other mode of SGS2 than these 2 modes?
Why I am asking is, when I was in the noob stage while playing with my SGS2, if my memory is correct, with three combination of button (Vol+Home+power or I started pressing before fully shut down any button or something else I don’t really remember now the sequence and the way) accidently I got a screen with yellow text similar to download mode, but it is sure the only text on the screen I remember in that panic situation was something written ‘Upload’ , that time my SGS2 was only few days old, I was really scared and rushed to press the power button to get the phone off before something is happened,
If somebody has any idea please just share…..
Thanks
sounds like kernel panic but as far as I know, you shouldn't be able to get there with any button combinations, sometimes reboot fixes this, sometimes wipe

"FORCED UPLOAD BY KEY PRESSING" HOME + VOl-UP- What is this ?????????
Further to my first post, once again I accidentally got the screen what I mentioned, this time I found out the Keys....
While the Phone is fully booted condition Just press Home Button and Vol-up button together, you will get black screen for one or two seconds like phone is switched off followed by the attached Screen saying
“ FORCED UPLOAD BY KEY PRESSING” along with the digits on top….
When you get the this Screen nothing to worry just hold power button for few seconds, phone will be switched off and with another press you can switch the phone on normally....
If somebody know about this just share the information…..
Thanks a lot

Ok so it's not even my first rodeo by far, but i seems to have come across your favourite S2 (Lol!) screen myself this past weekend, and obviously again today. I jave to say i have done pretty much everything i could have possibly done to this NOTE 5 SM_N920W8. Successful FRP Unlock, TWRP, my first manual injection of SU & BINARY, even uncovered a huge lot of developer apps and various locking/ unlocking tools, after semi-translating Arabic and separating useless code to find passwords and proper instructional material. I even had the thing up and running quite well, even after playing around with all the developers tools like Combination BoxWares, FRP Hijacker & Gsd Android Tool all over this phone. I managed to destroy any evidence of an IMEI number though. Oopsie. .. but, because it IS a NOTE 5, an ever-so-satisfying battery pull cannot be properly executed, i keep on coming back to the lovely screen which i will post screenshots of now.

The only thing we can discuss about your lost IMEI is to help you restore your IMEI from an IMEI backup that was created before you caused this issue.
If you do not have a legitimate IMEI backup, we have nothing to discuss.
Any discussion beyond that in this regard is not allowed by the standards set in the XDA Forum Rules.

Your a dip****. He didn't ask a goddamn thing about his IMEI number. He was just asking about the upload screen but you obviously have no idea of. I would love to get my hands on you and beat the ****ing snot out of you

Lol, you didn't understand my meaning, that makes you the....what was your word......dips***t.
The reason I said what I said about IMEI is because they had rendered their device inoperable and wanted help fixing it, which is why they came here. They also stated that, in the process of messing around with the device, they destroyed their IMEI. Well, guess what that means, it means that part of the process to repair the device will require restoring IMEI(this is the part that my reply was aimed at) which they did not create a backup of, which we now can't legitimately help with due to the forum rules about not being able to help restore IMEI without a backup. Ultimately, they would have required help from us that is against the XDA rules, not to mention, illegal in some places. Therefore, my reply was very relevant.
Second, I know the upload screen very well, my reply had nothing to do with ignorance of its existence or its meaning. The only ignorance here is you not understanding why I gave the reply I gave and its underlying meaning because you didn't look deep enough to make the connection. But, that is no surprise since this is your first post here and you just joined within the last few hours, you probably don't know enough about this site's rules or what would have been involved in their repair process.

I was just wondering if there was any way to change or remove the ugly "Unlocked" text from the top of the boot screen on a phone with an unlocked bootloader? Its kinda bugging be lol. Any help would be appreciated!

Not really sure. Besides, the unlocked text is kindof a sign of bragging rights. Is it not? :good:
Haha you have a point. A cool plus would be to change the boot logo itself to say "unlocked" smoother. Then again, I'm probably asking for too much like normal

I am facing a problem with my touch, a track right in the middle of the screen is not working, however when I connect my atrix to PC in this fault track back to work. I don't find a other person with the same problem. Would help the people of the forum to diagnose my problem, because I don't want to unlock the bootloader unless it is the only solution. I've wiped the cache, and the next attempt will be PDSfix, but do not want to unlock the bootloader. According to the description of the problem is software or hardware?
Thanks
Sorry for the bad english, is Google Translator

Yes, I tryed. In the middle of the screen the touch detection jump a track (marking as if I had passed my finger in a straight line in this fault track) and continues normally in the other side of the screen

I have the same issue as you, but my issue takes up the top half of the screen.
You have 5 options at this point.
1. Deal with it. most likely not what you want to do unless you have to
2. Unlock and pds fix. There's no harm in unlocking unless you totally don't read the instructions and do as it says.
3. Try the home made fix. Its just a matter of finding the right spot to place the piece of cardboard.
4. Replace digitizer
5. Replace device with new Atrix 4G or other device

I'm rooted (w/ an unlocked bootloader) but the Google splash screen doesnt show it.. kinda odd, anyone else notice this? I'm running LRX21L.
I noticed it too and i like it. Clean interface upon logon now.
Probably or its because its using HTC's bootloader
Anyone have an N5 or N7 that's running LP w/ an unlocked bootloader?? I'm wondering if it's an N9 bug or intentional.
Yeah, but when you relock it, it flashes "This is a development device not intended for production use" in big fat red letters at the top of the screen on boot. I've got to return mine for warranty... we'll see how that goes. I guess it does have a tamper bit.

I can confirm it was because of the HTC bootloader. The symbol is available on my Nexus 6

The unlocked lock shows up on the N5 during boot.
OK.. Thanks everyone.. Seems like it's just the Nexus 9.. I'm unsubscribing.. (The moderator can lock this thread if they lock Q&A's.)
