Hy
i come home last night and badly i stepped on my Archos G9 101
now the display only the lcd is broken at the right down side (image followed in the next hours)
Is it possible that this can go through the warranty?
or is there anywhere in the interenet a spare part of the display to replace it by myself?

Girish
If you've already taken it apart, and you can see the damaged wire, then you can change it yourself. Buy a replacement, and change it yourself.
Hi all,
The screen my S3 is definitely off! only the upper right corner was barely visible for a few more hours and at the end all became dark.
The glass is intact, the touch function and the phone works, kies recognize it and I even had retrieved the photos from it .
I guess that is the LCD is out of order or do you think that I have to check anything else?
The price of a LCD in Internet is 229 € definitely so expensive.
It will work if I use a LCD from a bricked S3 ? did Samsung uses different version of hardware on the S3?
Thank you in advance your opinions

I'd ask about the problem from your local service center and try to get it repaired in warranty.
Especially if there's no physical evidense of drops or hits in the phone.
If you live somewhere in scandinavia, it shouldn't matter if you're rooted or not.
Edit:
And yes, you can use the screen from a bricked S3.

Hi Guys,
After replacing the lcd and digitizer on my S3, the display is appearing upside down?
The touch screen works as if it is the right way round, but the lcd is displaying as if it is upside down.
I've also tried another lcd/digitizer and got the same results!
Is there any way to solve this? Even if it involves using ADB or the likes?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks
software has nothing to do with this ( i believe ) ,you connected the display wrong .
Are you sure you bought the original display ?
Hi,
Trying to fix a Z2 for a friend. She dropped it, smashed the screen. You could still see the LCD, but the digitizer was fubar. Ordered a new screen assembly, but after the replacement only the LED backlights work - no LCD at all. To test, I reinstalled what was left of the old screen, and no LCD, just backlight, so I don't think it's the new screen. So then I ordered a new main ribbon cable and replaced it. Same result: no LCD, just backlight. You can hear the phone on when it's on, the phone "responds" when you touch the screen, you just can't see anything. I upgraded to the latest software update tonight using PC Companion, but no change.
So, the only thing left is the motherboard, right? I know there is a fuse on the motherboard that, when it fails, it kills the backlight and leaves you with only the LCD. I have the opposite problem. I'm hoping maybe there is something like that for the LCD??
Thanks in advance,
Heath
I have same issues with you and also try ten new lcd all show backlight only..what your solution??
Have you tried to connect it via a MHL cable to TV ?
Hello,
My display broke after an accident on the bus (a week after I replaced the failing battery...) an I wonder if anyone knows if it matters if the replacement screen is for xxxx-01 or xxxx-03?
