ROM: rootbox 2.0 Kernel: siyah 3.5.2
I have a problem with BLN. I disable BLN in the galaxy setting, after I lock and unlock the screen, the LED is turned on.
I change the time out to extweak to "disable", but when I lock the screen led continues on.
How do I turn off completely BLN.
sorry my english is bad, I plan to ask questions in Rootbox topic, but I did not have 10 posts
Uncheck "BLN" at bln card in extweaks, disable led-on-touch, apply settings and reboot.

well you cannot completely turn off BLN ma8, all u can do is go to extweaks app
there under BLN tab you set BLN as follows
1) Tick the box under BLN
2) under Notification_timeout - select ur desired time out (1min is ideal)
3) under BLN effect - select it to be steady
4)under LED_timeout - agian select the desired time out (1.5sec is good)
5) under LED_fade out- tick the box
6)under LEDS On with Touch- u tick the same if u want led to be ON after u touch the screen else leave it blank
7)under Led voltage level- drag the bar back to set it 2700mv
after that hit apply changes button and ur done with
I have set up as follows and reboot.
- Extweak.
BLN: uncheck
Notification_timeout: nevertimeout
LED_timeout: disable
led_fadeout: uncheck
led_on_touch: uncheck
- Galaxy setting.
tab sensors:
enable keys blacklight: uncheck
Reboot > LED is still on.

u cannot completely turn OFF the same ma8, u can disable it on touch,for notification etc. but if u touch the soft keys u see them light up thats why i told to reduce the led voltage so that u can hardly see the same

One more thing, when resetting battery stats, should that be done on a full battery or near empty?
It should be done when the battery is fully charged.
These are the steps I follow (I have CWM):
1. Charge to 100%.
2. With Vibrant plugged in, boot to recovery.
3. Go to advanced > wipe battery stats > select ‘yes’
4. go back > reboot phone (unplug after phone has rebooted).
5. Use phone until battery dies.
6. Charge to 100% with the phone off. (Not sure if the charging with the phone off is really necessary)
7. With Vibrant plugged in, turn on phone and wait for media scanner and launcher to finish loading before unplugging.
You will find different steps/techniques, this is what I do and it seems to work well.
I always charge to 100% before flashing a new ROM, that way I don't have to reset the battery.

I've always thought it was Button Light Notification !

You could be right, I'm not 100% sure. Button Light does sound more correct.
Hi,
I'm using this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543521
With the stock rom the screen used to turn on when a notification was issued. With this it doesn't happen. I read about BLN but couldn't find a place where it said that BLN is Ace compatible.
Is there any way to make the soft keys or the screen to turn on?
Thanks
With custom rom your screen light wont turn on, thats normal.
Download BLN from market, don't worry, its compatible
But when I install the BLN control it says that the BLN isn't available and must be flashed...
huh? You just need to download BLN free version and enable it.
Saca-a do Play store e instala, nao tem nd q saber.
that's what I did... For what I've been reading the kernel must support BLN and that seems not be the case.. I'll try later again... gotta flash the phone again since I've must have done something not so good to the operating system
Still... no success... first I flashed the blackhawk for CM7.2 and now I have the message "this liblights does not support BLN" help?
NoLed did the trick

What ROM / kernel version do you have?
Check Settings > Display > Lock Screen, Display Timeout, and Settings > Security > Screen lock, Auto lock (or something similar in your ROM version).
And you will have to unplug your phone from charger.
Charging will prevent the phone from going into deep sleep.
If the screen lock does not work, you may have to flash the ROM again to your phone.
I seem to have encountered a bug with the data toggle in this rom, it can turn off data, but it can't turn it back on, clicking it to turn it on will grey the text out but data will never come back on, and the checkbox in the settings screen stays unticked.
Could be a bug in the AOKP version used in the ROM.
RR 4.0.6 I9100
I'm using the traditional JB 4.2 tiles toggles.
I would have posted directly to the rom dev, but the 10 posts limit thing...

Did u flash after a full wipe? Have you tried doing a factory reset or re-flash of the ROM? Check these first, and then you can conclude its a bug of the ROM.
Hi everyone
I find out a way to preventing wifi random reboots in lineage os base roms
This random reboot comes from poor wake control settings of this roms.
please follow this steps to fixing that:
1 - First of all please install hKtweaks app to editing somethings!
You can find it in this link: https://github.com/corsicanu/hKtweaks/releases
2 - Come to wakelock tab in this app.
3 - Turn on/off these settings by same I telling you!
sensorHub ---> turn off
ssp ---> turn on
gps ---> turn off
wireless ---> turn on
bluetooth ---> turn off
4 - Then turn on apply on boot (on top of screen) to applies these for next boots.
I hope this one become useful to you!
I tested this in a7 2017.
