does any one know which file I have to mod to lower the voltage of the led buttons as yhey are very bright and iy might help.with the light leak
thanks
To turn led down you cannot lower the voltage. They are not like usual lights with a wire in it.

yes I can lower the voltage thats why im asking which file and not if it's possible
NO you cannot! Led is a semiconductor diode, it is
determined by the energy gap of the semiconductor. If you lower voltage this gap cannot been exceed in this case and there's no current conduction. So there is no light emmiting from led.
For lower light emmiting you have to use other diode.

Dimmable LEDs have been around for quite a while now.

Why are you asking what file to mod if you clearly have an app that lets you mod it?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I don't know much about dimmable LEDs. Maybe you can describe me how the led of the s3 working. Instead of this you want me to shut up. Useless communication.
I could imagine there are LEDs with more than one semiconductor gap included. So variation of voltage can activate different light emmiting semiconductor in one led in my imagination.
But don't know exactly.
Maybe there are people knowing this...
Last thing, you are not an admin to tell me not posting anymore.
This is just my decision to shut up not yours.

I know it's an app, Im not sure whether changes have to be made to the kernel or some other file to controll the voltage of the LED driver and where these changes have to be made
Lets keep things polite and on topic chaps, remember to treat your fellow members as you would want to be treated yourself.
Diode current is
i=Is(exp(Vd/(nVt))-1)
Usually there is a series resistor too. Brightness is very much dependant on voltage. If the voltage is 2.5volt, there is probably 1volt across a resistor - this gives a lot of control.

Thats right, something is keeping the awake. Install better battery stats to find out what it is
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I had the same problem with LPB and I removed my microSD card completely to avoid it.
However, it might be a problem of my card. I didn't have time to check. For now I use the phone without the card and I have deep sleep for 80-95% depending on use.

Yes and read the better battery stats thread .
jje
Also, don't forget that if your phone is being charged, it will show 200Mhz time in state for that amount of time charging. So if you happened to be charging for that time, it would explain the lack of deep sleep
HELP!!!
hi. i am facing a similar issue. and each time i turn my screen off either the phone is 90%+ in deep sleep or deep sleep is completely unused and it stays at them min screen off freq.
posting screen shots. it shows that audioout_2 process have kept my phone awake. what do i do about this? i have been running nothing that uses audio. no music, games, video or any key press sounds or anything.. totally silent!!
please advise.. battery draining like crazy!!

I recently installed Semi 17 Rom on my SII. I noticed that the charge rate according to ELIXIR2 is around 640 mA. I've updated to AJ's latest kernel, and it's still the same. I downloaded extweaks, and 650 mA is the highest setting available. How can I change this to a higher rate, and should I?
I was previously running unnamed, and I know the phone would charge at about 2000mA. I seem to recall that a lower charging rate could cause a problem while using navigation and google music. I had a car charger that only charged at about 500mA and it could not keep up while using these two apps.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can not make this phone charge any faster, this has been well documented.

OK. So I went back to Entropy's thread on his DD kernel and did some more reading. Then I flashed back to unnamed, because I thought I might be loosing my mind, and I'm still seeing the same results. I guess this means that something funky is going on with Unnamed/Elixir.
Thanks for being gentle with the noob

Sometimes my phone wakes up at night. I'm not sure why. I didn't have this "issue" using CM10.1 but it does happen on a custom sammy rom. Anyone who knows if this takes more battery than it should?

Vbus_present means you are connected to charger . This is strange :|

Yeah, google told me so but it confused me. How could the vbus present process be running if the charger isn't connected? Since this process appears to be causing the wakes.

What type of charger you looked at voltages and if is a apple charger you shouldn't use that because its different

Well I think your case your related either to:
1- Non standard Samsung charger which may not inform the phone properly that it has finished charging to cut off charging current.
2- Are you using any app for battery monitoring like Battery Info or so which pops up when you start charging? If so try to kill it (Hold back to kill) as soon as it pops up and see.
You might try also restarting your phone when it finishes charging and see..
Hope it helps..

Hello! I faced a problem like yours. In my case solved the problem an AirPush type adblocker. It was found 2 apps that used this ad technology (these tried to connect to internet and during this operation they switched on the phone's display). When unistalled that 2 apps, this problem was gone. I advice to you try to find the AirPush Detector on the Play. Install it, then remove that apps, what it marking and let see what will happen. Maybe it could solves your trouble.
It might also be problem with the usb flex cable I believe it is. A few users have reported this. I believe the part is around $5.
Have you tried to flash back to stock? To see if that helps
Hello friends,
I was feeling little wariness while I am holding my device in my hand and when I checked my device temperature with Cpu-z I got these readings. So please confirm is this really a concern for me or not.
Thanks

Woah buddy those are some heavy temperature readings there. I have not encountered any heating issue except while installing custom roms or using the phone while gaming in high brightness. I think the fact that you were using your phone while it was being charged increases the device's temperature greatly and caused the problem because even my device heats up like crazy.

These readings I noted after my phone booted up after 'optimizing apps....' but truly speaking I am feeling only little warmness.
While charging my phone temperature fluctuate between 45-50
This is my current temp reading while I am charging and typing this reply and I am feeling only little warmness[emoji14]
Is this reading normal or I have anything to worry about[emoji14]
Thanks

It is normal for the device to get warm when it reaches the optimizing apps screen because the brightness is set to max at default and processor is continually used. You have nothing to worry about mate.

Yup, it's pretty normal. Also it shows cpu temperature not your device's temperature. I can see that you have boeffla kernel installed, so be aware of modding too much with kernel settings. Thermal throttling is enabled in the kernel so no need to worry.
New temp which I obtained after stress test

I'm getting the best screen on time I've ever had in a phone.
Screenshot is at 10% after 7 hours and 15 mins of screen on time. I have used GPS (Pokemon Go ha ha) for 4 hours in that time.
Still on 7% after 7 hours 35 mins screen on so confident I'll hit 8 hours before I have to charge it.
Auto Brightness used, Always On Display used. Plenty of Facebook, Messenger etc. No phone calls... Who uses a phone to make phone calls these days anyway [emoji23][emoji336]

I got almost 9 hrs yesterday. Loving the battery performance!
Can anyone of you share their accu battery estimation after charging in the battery health section? Mine shows it as 4072 not 4200,my sisters Samsung phone always showed higher than or the same as advertised... I'm asking because my sot is barely 6 hours only.
