anyone else? The problem is that I am on epsilon v3 rom I will try to participate anyway, can they see if I am on another rom? Will I be able to join the soak test even thought I am running custom rom?

I decided not to participate this time. I've already flashed the ICS (672.180.33), rooted it and everything seems to work fine. However good luck to you testers. Let's hope the update will roll out before Christmas

Sure you can, but you need to rollback the factory firmware first (no root, no frozen apks, just factory default firware). At least that's how it was told in the survey you got the link to.

I think that it will be a serious issue for Motorola, since the majority of people who wanted to participate in the SOAK test a while ago, are using ICS already. And a large part of them have already sold their RAZRs to have ICS on another phone.

We recognize that many of our most astute and engaged owners also root and/or otherwise modify their software. While we are eager to get feedback from these owners, we find that we spend a disproportionate amount of precious soak time helping them through the update process

lol and read this
Additionally, if you do a factory data reset within 24 hours of the soak test start, you may remove your phone from our list. Because of that, we recommend that anyone who is rooted/altered restore to stock NOW. If you are on an unofficial Ice Cream Sandwich build do not attempt to downgrade your phone as it will likely cause it to be unusable. Generally you will have less than 24 hours of advanced warning of the start of the soak.

I don't believe this yet, i'll reserve judgement until someone pulls the update.zip from their cache folders for others to take a look at.

You had to sign up for it earlier, you can't now

Oh, that's too bad... Anyway, I guess I will have to wait for a few more days (hopefully...)

At least guys already running ICS can send it's razr for a repair center if needed without worrying about the system running on it.
Cheers

Another soak? Omg after the last one I decided to stick with Epsilon....

At least, can a soak tester tell us what is the version of the firmware?

Are we going to start seeing more ROMs?

I thought since we have the fastboots files, we might start seeing ROMs pop up. Just curious
I hope to see CM9 in my razr

let´s dont forget that RAZR it´s a "recent" phone, so let´s give some time for developers to make their magic things. I hope to see a lot of ROM´s like those for HD2

More dev's, and unlocked bootloader along w/ source codes available immediately. Because of all those things being available immediately Dev's were able load a custom kernel ASAP without fear of bricking their phone.....or at least not as much of a threat.
With a locked bootloader, there's more of a chance of bricking without fastboot/sbf/fzx files. Now that those are around, more tweaks can be experimented with.
I've also written a few times, I expect once CM9 hits officially with all the corrected trees to fork, or a proper ICS release on a moto phone, regardless if it's the RAZR or not, we'll see quite a few RAZR Roms available in no time.
I just think all the Dev's are either tweaking with CM9 & ICS using pre-alpha's, and once someone gets the radio's and touch screen correct, the damn is going to break, and other dev's will jump in with their ROM's.
I disagree. The only development we will really see is what you see. So many new phones come out all the time now, it's just not the same.
You can get a good idea of the development you will see in the first two weeks. Sad to say, but I wouldn't expect much.

My personal experience with the Droid X and D2G global were actually the opposite.
I bought my D2G the week it came out, there were no Dev's working on that thing for at least 2.5-3 months. I didn't even know of a custom ROM for that time.
Now there's more than a dozen ROMs for the D2G and just as many for the DX.
Guys just wait for ICS ota to come out or CM9 to get to beta. anyway most roms are based on CM distributive

Respectively, I disagree.
As you can remember from the Droid X2 we had no development for at least 2 / 3 months.
The Razr is winning to many best of 2011 awards for DEV to leave alone. The Razr will get ROMs. Give it a little more time.

The only release is the Soak test. I'm sure most of the bugs well be taken care of in the final release. Only idiots nit pick a beta.

I flashed back to GB in anticipation of the OTA this week and I absolutely hate my phone now. Doesn't help I forgot to backup my TiBu before I did and now it just sucks. Can't wait for the ICS OTA so I can get my phone back to that rockin' state I had it in. And then see what new ROMs pop up.
i personally like it, not gonna switch back. although the scrolling for me leaves a wee bit more to be desired. hopefully they fix that in the official release.

yea i know what you mean with the scrolling, then again on gingerbread when i scroll real fast to a contact, it would over scroll lol so i kinda like the new scroll action, but like i said, other than that...its pretty F'in sweet and have no desire to go back...
quick question for anyone that might know though...i used Matts Utility 1.7 to upgrade to the official .211 update....will i be able to either get the OTA or at least jump back to stock .181 and then manually update to the OTA ??? if so, can anyone and everyone that knows the simplest and safest way for a noob lol...i did use Matts Utility 1.6 to revert back to my stock .181 earlier today before i upgraded and that seemed fine....will this still work if im on the .211 leak ? any and all answers much appreciated!
and i think i should be slapped with a few more thanks...especially from the testers and developers of this amazing upgrade!
You won't be able to go back to GB, at least for the foreseeable future. With that said, if they do actually make changes from 211 leak/soak to the OTA, then what will have to happen if you're on the 211 leak is basically we will have to install the OTA like every other leak. Then once the OTA is installed we just have to wait for VZW to push the next update and it will update like any other OTA. I doubt they change anything however. The bugs that do exist are minor/few and far between.

It's not a soak test release stop spreading that misinformation.
It's being sent out in limited quantities...that doesn't mean it's a stress test. It means they don't want to bog down their servers by sending out a few million updates at once and having people complain. I wasn't part of *any* stress/soak test list and I got the update.

Sent from my Soaked RAZR.
Hello again, everyone.
Later tonight we'll end our soak test. A phased roll out of the software will begin soon.
We are deeply grateful for the feedback and information provided. This was by far the largest soak we've ever attempted. We didn't really know what it would be like to have so many participants. We learned a lot and have already figured out some better ways to do things in the future. We appreciate you hanging in there as as we ploughed through all the information you provided.
To those of you who did not get the update or were unable to access the private community -- your experience has also helped us find and correct issues. We'll be better next time based on your feedback.
Please remember that the processes, information and communications shared during this soak test are confidential and not to be shared outside of this private community.
However, we do hope you will return to the public RAZR/RAZR Maxx community -- here and on other sites -- and help your fellow owners make the transition to Ice Cream Sandwich.
We will leave the private community up for a short time, but once you log out it will no longer be available to you. Soon we will close the threads to comments. We will continue to work with some of you and reach out if we need additional information.
Thank you so, so much. Hope to see you again in soaks. We rely on your energy, intelligence and enthusiasm.

Petition

Okay so I know this is not for the dinc4glte but for the older brother dinc2 phone. We are in need of a kernel source release and we started a petition to get it; we are currently at 129 signatures and need a lot more (thinking 1,000) and we come to you guys to at least with this. This doesn't even take 5 min to help another forum in need. So please be so kind I'm not even asking much.

On this issue, didn't I see somewhere where HTC was releasing plane-jane ROMs for some of their devices? I wonder if petitioning for one of those would get a response? Just thinking that HTC probably finished the ICS ROM for the Dinc2 months ago and gave it to VZW, where it is collecting dust. I know source code is most desirable, but a finished ROM would help, too. Yeah?
I'll try to find where I ran across that and post a link.....

No, not a leak. I flashed plenty of ROMs based on leaks to my Dinc2.
So it was in this article here, which is about HTC setting a 512MB RAM bar for their devices to receive JB.
I thought this quote was interesting: “Chou and Co. also noted that they plan to post "generic development ROMs" of Jelly Bean for the One X and One S to its developer website as soon as they're fully baked. “
So if they are posting "generic development ROMs" why can’t they do that for devices like the Dinc2? Anyway, just something to think about asking for since they are obviously putting them together.

Benefits of B322 over B309

Dear HAM2 users, I am currently on b309 and would like to update to b322 but hate re-installing all apps again. Hence I am reluctant so far for that reason.
Is there big difference in performance between b309 and B322?
Will there be another update to b322 or this is it?
The fact that everyone hasn't received ota update gives me impression that this is not final yet.
Is it worth the effort to update now or should I wait a few more weeks.
Thanks.

Does that mean this is the final release and Huawei has completed the Lollypop official release?

Amazing two letters can mean soooo much. Lol
Not sure why people continue to rag on Huawei. They released LP on the HAM. They did a bunch of updates and then released B322. It seems to be working pretty damn good. They may release updates as they see fit. Think we should be happy we got LP quite frankly on this device. Then again, some people are never happy.

Not releasing KK and then being late releasing LP was very likely not making people happy from what I gathered reading the HAM2 forum here.
I just my mega HAM2 a few days ago . Waiting for Huawei to sent me my bootloader unlock code ( I was not one of the people who received a response withing hours ) so I can root my LP upgraded phone and hopefully Xposed framework will be working on the HAM2 in the not too distant future.

Doubtful. The only reason they released L to start with was because SOOO many people raised hell about it. Basically killing any hope of selling a lot of people devices in the future. And anyone researching huawei would see that failure. Again this isn't a successful business practice. I highly doubt any more updates... Unless its a major security flaw. Having CM support boosted the chance people may buy huawei stuff again. But only slightly. There is obviously fanboys of huawei.. Just like Apple has its lemmings. For huawei though that isn't a significant number of users. One can only hope they Learnd a lesson this time. As Scoots said. IF... Time will tell.

LOL @Moody66...and there are the people who try their best to try and create as much fud and rhetoric as possible. Oreo Beta Testing starting back up!

What's up!
Yup you heard right it's starting back up and if you're a beta tester previously for the Axon 7 Oreo builds you should be getting contacted soon.
Peace!
Kudos to ZTE for continuing this after that long stretch of downtime. Looks like they're doing right by us; I really appreciate this.
Right now it seems to be only for the US tho. Saw a post on reddit where someone got an email for US beta testing.
Sadly ztemobile.de is still redirecting to the chinese site. I really hope the site comes back. Or that at least the G model gets back on track too to receive oreo.

Right now it seems to be only for the US tho. Saw a post on reddit where someone got an email for US beta testing.
Sadly ztemobile.de is still redirecting to the chinese site. I really hope the site comes back. Or that at least the G model gets back on track too to receive oreo.

I also check for the German page to come back online. If we do get Oreo for the G it will most likely come from there. I'm hoping that page is down because there will be some changes to it

It's newer than the B12/B01 beta ROMs we have now though. B12/B01 are from last year I think... LOL so March is actly pretty great

Are you kidding? ?
I'm guessing (maybe hoping) that that screenshot is unrelated. Surely they can't be releasing only a V8 update and not v8.1.
Seems like ZTE could so with some cross region collaboration with releasing updates. It's a bad practice not to make updates world wide.
I know there may be small differences, especially with modems but still..

I'm sure that patch was left somewhere in the update servers and since they're back online now, people received it.
I'ts not new per se because it's from March, so clearly they didn't release new stuff yet (also don't know if they started to work on the update or not). However, I have my doubts about 8.1... hopefully it's 8.1 and not 8.0., but we will see.

You probably right.
I received an email from ZTE a few days ago that read new Oreo build ready for testing. Has a survey for you to fill out. I contacted the person and was told , build is wrapping up inner testing and will be pushed to beta testers soon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The build is the last before final release.
Hi,
How to enroll for beta testing?
