How to upgrade from FXP132 to FXP 133, Xperia S - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I wonder what is the safest way to upgrade the rom from FXP132 to 133 in my Xperia S. Do i have to reflash the kernel and install gapps again???

Thanks for help
After alot of retries the only working combination is the follow:
-format system
-wipe data/factory
-wipe dalvik
-install CM9
-install gapps
-turn off phone
-boot phone to fastboot mode
-flash the extracted boot.img using fastboot

Check out my post here, it's just a quick guide on how to upgrade to 133 from 132 without losing data, hope I helped :good:

wi-fi problem!!

hi guys.i have one problem by gdx v.18.Since come back the kernal dx to Kernal sony ericsson, wi-fi not working. i dont want full wipe.what do i??please help me.
sorry for bad english
Try reinstalling rom without full wipe
Follow these steps
1.Reinstall GingerDX (without full-wipe)
2.Wipe Cache partition
3.wipe Dalvik-Cache
4.(optional) wipe battery-stats
5.Reboot
Note: first boot will take longer
if the problem persist do
1.Backup all your apps and data using (MyBackup/Titanium Backup)
2.Open Flashtool
3.flash your kernel (linuxdx or stock)
4.Reinstall GingerDX
5.Full Wipe
6.Reboot

[Q] From ICS Passion to miui

Can anyone provide installation steps from ICS Passion back to miui (Gingerbread)
I'm currently Galnet miui and plan to flash ICS passion temporarily.
Thanks.
would be the same steps the OP provides
-Wipe Dalvik and Cache Partition
-Wipe Data/Factory Reset
-Format System
-Flash MIUI
-Fix Permissions
-Reboot and let sit a few minutes
-Re-Apply theme if needed
-Reboot again
-Enjoy
super simple, if you're really worried just make a nand backup and restore it once you wanna go back.
Yuuuup! Just flash that bad boy!
Look for a ROM from nickmcminn60. He gives clear instructions on how to flash a MIUI ROM.

[SOLVED] I'm going crazy!

I've been trying to install HYBROM v10 all day!
I thing I'm missing some step because yesterday I did it with no problems at all.
I got stuck after installing via CWR on the SE logo.
After stucking I can't access CWR anymore.. here's what I do after that:
Using flashtool:
-flash 4.0.2.A.0.58
-root
-CWR
-stock kernel
-tried to flash Hybrom- fail.
-KRsH kernel using fastboot
-tried to flash Hybrom - fail.
Am I missing something?

Using flashtool:
-install .368
-root
-CWM
-rage/hybrom kernel
-installing hybrom:
-full wipe data/cache
-wipe dalvik
-install rom
-shutdown
-full wipe
-install rom
-restart (if stuck, run fastboot and flash boot again, restart)
success.
This is my second thread today without replays but still solved...
Why no one replies to me?

Xperia x8 Custom ROM

I installed Shin Engine v3 and SE V5 but both dont worked. I followed that steps:
"Installation
Download Rom and copy to Sd card
Reboot into CWM Recovery
enter Mount and Storage -> /format system
Wipe data/factory reset -> Wipe cache partition enter Advance -> /wipe dalvik cache /wipe battery stats
Flash ROM = wait until finish
Reboot. Done". That you can get it here. "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551522"
I unlock root and bootloader, installed nAa 11 Kernel.
Then after I install the rom I reboot and then the cellphone keep rebooting infinitely.
What can I do?
Flash Alfs v08a CM7 no FPS cap version(optional, but always working+better performance). I tried these ROMs and they worked. However, if you use an ICS ROM like ShinEngine V3(not BostonEngine v5), you MUST use nAa ICS kernel!! Otherwise it won't work for you. If you have the correct kernel, correct ROM and still not working, try reflashing the ROM and NOT wiping everything and vice versa.
Good luck!

If you still want to have all your apps and don't mind if it doesn't work as it's supposed to, you could try a dirty install and only wipe cache and dalvik, not a complete factory reset. This usually works if you stay on the same android version (or upgrade) but does not if you go from blur to cm or vice versa.
But again, a clean install is always better (but we are lazy, aren't we) and there is no guarantee that everything will work
Edit: oh Jesus Nottach is blur, yeah then forget about the dirty install xD...
