What is your battery consumption? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've installed the Infinity Revolution ROM based on CM10. I'm pretty happy with it but I think that the battery consumption could be better.
So, I'd like to have your feedback with your device (even if the ROM is different) and to know what is your battery consumption at night (when it is not used).
For me, my consumption is -12mA at night (I disabled Google Now that seems to wake up my device)
Thanks!

What's the meaning of your post now when you can't tell us the problem you are facing.
Post your battery usage and consumption (how you use your phone) details then maybe it will be much easier to help
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII

I have no real problems with the battery but when I read forums on dev ROMS, I usually see that kind of sentence "Good battery drain, battery feels better, etc.". So, what is a good battery drain with a SGII using a customized ROM? Is "-12 mA" a good consumption when the device is not used?
I need comparisons.
PS: sometimes I have -60mA without doing anything

I usually lose 0-1% overnight too, on any ROM but always with Siyah kernel or SpeedMod.
Sync, data, alarm and BLN are always disabled overnight.
If data is enabled overnight however, I lose 3% on EDGE and about 5% on 3.5G
Presently I'm running Paranoid Jellybean v 1.99 + Siyah kernel 4.1 beta y

I never lose any battery over night, it Stays on 100%.
I'm using stock Samsung Lp7 rom with cf-root kernel.

When you enabled the BLN and someone texted you or some notifications appeared, it will prevent your phone to deepsleep.
That might be the reason why you have a huge 10% drain

Nope.
If your Wi-Fi stays connected overnight, then your phone will stay awake. Disable the Wi-Fi when sleeping and your battery consumption will reduce magically.

I don't think you need to change your ROM.
The issue is with BLN enabled, which will prevent your phone from going back to deep sleep once you have a notification and Wi-Fi which might cause many wakelocks if it stays connected overnight.

Maybe it's the GT-I9100 instead of this Forum's SGH-I777 base, but just guessing.

Manually debloated VillainROM 3.0 (Hellraised, of course) works great for me. Unnamed has a good list of what to nuke for battery - SNS and the various hubs are the most important.
I9100 XXKI3 base seems to be better for battery, especially in weak signal situations, than UCKH7, and doesn't have the issues that seem to have shown up in later bases like XWKK5 or UCKK6.

+1 VillainROM 3.0 has been fantastic with regard to battery life(bloat removed) easily 4-4.5hrs screen time.
Most users have the "newer is better" attitude but with all the issues with KK5/6, it just isn't the case here

Any ROM with UCKK6 has an issue with wifi battery drain (check on the battery drain thread) in idle. I have been to MIUI->UnNamed->MIUI and it seems MIUI has better idle drain than UnNamed because of that (10% drain with 6 email accounts syncing for 6 hours with MIUI and I believe I had 20% drain with 3 emails accounts syncing with UnNamed, both with the same kernel). I tried both DD and Siyah kernel and I personally feel Siyah is better at battery, but marginally.
Check my config in my signature. pretty decent life. about 14-16hrs.

Ive been on unnamed. New to android so this is the only ROM i have tried. Wanted to try it with the Siyah kernel but a little scared. It seems like it has so many tweaks and governers and stuff. I think im too new to mess with all those settings lol

It all depends on how we use it. My best stats were on serendipity rom with DD. I never tried it with siyah. I'm running miui now. I had 40 hours of battery life. (34 hours realty since 6 of the hours were inactive) I turned off data when I was not using it. I had 3.5 hours of screen on time. I texted about 300-500 text a day.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda premium
I doubt there's a HUGE difference between any of them. Typically what ends up killing peoples battery time is added apps that stay open or keep wakelocks active. In those situations, NONE of the ROMS will be good.

It means the phone is 'bounce charging'. this means that when it is plugged in and reaches full charge it will stop and drain about 5% then start charging again. phones are designed to do this so you can leave it plugged in for as long as you like.

The screen is the biggest battery drain and it is on all phones, so the higher the brightness the quicker the battery will drain. Looking at your stats you had the screen on for around an 40-60 minutes which will produce the battery use you are seeing. The S3 will give you about 3.5 hrs of screen on time tops at 75% brightness.
I use the S3 outdoors on 30-40% brightness in sunlight and it is visible so I'm not sure what you are getting at when you say you can't see it outdoors.
Who knows why the sgs2 was programmed to read 100%. In any case it was a false reading, once you unplug the charger it is physically impossible to have 100% charge, in reality it will be 99.9%...... . In my opinion the fact that the battery stats get rounded down more accurately reflects the actual charge remaining, my old sgs2 used to hang on 100% for anything upto an hour which was just plain inaccurate.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
3H26M later. I guess the bigger screen is taking much more battery juice. I was able to do a full day with S2.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Something is wrong if you can't go a day on one charge. You should easily be able to get 4-5 hours of screen on time with reasonable brightness.
Dropping to 99% once charger is disconnected is normal, was like that on the original SGS if I'm not mistaken.

I've seen this with lots of ROMs & Kernels !!! What to do ???

[FIX][ICS]Bluesleep Fix for all ICS Roms (Enable Deep Sleep!!)

Hello all!!! This is a Mod that will fix the Bluesleep issue seen on our current Cyanogen Mod 9 build and all ICS Based Roms.
What is Bluesleep you ask?
Bluesleep is a wakelock that is an error on part of the Bluetooth System missing a few binaries. Even if you have bluetooth disabled, you will be affected by this bug!!!
Ok, so how does Bluesleep affect us?
Bluesleep is a wakelock. Wakelocks prevent your system from going into Deep Sleep. From my testing, this is the ONLY wakelock that is still prevalent on our system.
Why did this bug occur?
Normally, an ICS kernel would take care of all of this. But due to us still having a Gingerbread kernel, we still need these binaries.
What are the benefits from flashing this?
Oh, only BETTER BATTERY LIFE! As of now, our phone sits at an idle state of 216Mhz. By flashing this, it enables Deep Sleep, which saves a substantial amount of Battery Life when your phone isn't in use.
Sounds great, but there's got to be a catch.
From my testing, there are no bugs introduced from this fix.
Wait, how thoroughly was this tested??
It was tested for a solid day of good use on MIUI.
It was (sadly) only tested for a few hours on CM9, however my phone did reach Deep Sleep.
SIGN ME UP!!

Instructions:
YOU MUST BE ON AN ICS ROM! (CM9, AOKP, Paranoid Android or MIUI)
Boot into BSR
Flash the bluesleep.zip
No need to wipe Data or Cache
ENJOY BETTER BATTERY LIFE!!!
Credit goes to olegfusion and Th3Bill for their findings!! All I did was package it and make the flashable script.

I get around 16 hours of moderate use. Light use I can get over 24 hours.
Running CleanROM.
Battery life not so great here. I usually have to find a wall outlet around 7pm and that is light usage through the day. Could be me, but not sure....
Stock rooted. The battery life is so much better then on my Rezound.
I am stock rooted and usually have only Wifi and Mobile Data on.
Currently using Jelly Beans build 4 and faux 006. Moderate use. Mostly texting and using play music.

what's everyone getting for screen on time? that's mostly the killer of my battery i think
I also use Battery Doctor. Not sure if it is making a difference but I do know that since using it my battery seems to be lasting longer.
Screen on time was just over 3 hours for me.

On both of my Sprint S4's the battery was absolute garbage whether stock, rooted, tweaked, custom ROM, etc... I could hit 1d if I was lucky and had too much going on that day making it a rarity to even turn my phone on. First experience with the Verizon S4 was 1d 12h. Incredible. The performance of this phone is better than the Sprint version was too. Didn't think that was possible but I'm far from complaining.
This was on CleanRom 1.5 with stock kernel. BT was on the entire time as well even though GSAM doesn't show it.

On Stock Rooted I was getting way more than this... I even forgot my charger when I stayed at my friend's a few weeks back and I still had a 40% charge in the morning, and that was with moderate usage...
Now I'm running HyperDrive 5.7 and I'm having some slight doubts -- I'm still fine at the end of the day with a remaining 60% after work, maybe 40% just before bed, but it seems to be worse than what I was getting.
Mine seems consistent and I love it.

Consistently at 12+ hours with moderate use (tasker controlled backlight, wifi, BT, etc) - I find the worst power drain is when WiFi is enabled, but not connected. Completely stock/unrooted.
