Did anyone see something about it after google published thier intentions?
they only told it's an experiment... so I have no idea what theywant to do with this

just thought id let people know its a common situation now
i have a great idea for an android app (i'm sure you've heard that before!). but really, it's intriguing enough for me to consider either pitching to a programmer OR learning myself. i don't know how important just having the idea/funding is vs. doing it myself. plus there is always the issue of someone stealing your idea if you hire an outside programmer. thoughts?
if you want to earn money then idea, if you want customer satisfaction then programming
how do you go about finding someone to program that you can trust and won't steal your idea? there are thousand of apps out there, surely someone has done this.
I am currently looking to change companies in my career path. I had a potential interview with a company, and it seemed like what I wanted to do.
I got the following email:
Brad,
Jeff cancelled the interview for tomorrow. I guess he found a video you
have on UTUBE to hack into cell phones. He wasn't very happy when he
found it.
If I can give you some advice don't put anything on the web that people
can find. These companies now of days turn over every rock they can find.
Sorry,
Dan
This BLEW my mind! So, I quickly looked at my YouTube channel, and this was the only one about phones that I could find:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=101Guli2_yE
This was the 1st ROM that I was ever a part of. I felt such joy and achievement that I could help create something like this! So, anyway, being the smart-a$$ that I am, this was my response!:
Dan, I have NEVER made a video on YouTube to hack into cell phones. I made a video about a Motorola Triumph that we installed Ice Cream Sandwich, which is Googles 2nd latest Operating System. If anything, this is one of my greatest achievement in my professional life....we used Google's source code, rewrote it for our particular phone, and applied and booted the phone. We did not 'hack into it' as you put it, and this is the reason why Google is open-source so people can learn and apply the software to different devices.
Here is the link... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=101Guli2_yE&feature=youtube_gdata_player
And if your client thinks any part of this is wrong, then shame on them. Now, if your client feels that open-source software should be grounds for not accepting an interview, I advise that he/she look up the meaning of 'open-source'.
Thanks

And this is what I sent to the guy who cancelled the interview:
Jeffrey, Dan told me that you wanted to cancel the interview because I 'hack into phones'....if you think this is hacking into phones, https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cign5OLUdZt8pQJhVEYpgYSthO9JW5SZeZogNNuG0gg/edit then you should not be a decision maker in ANY business. As you may or probably not know, there is TONS of developers like myself working on Android software. It is not hacking, and is embraced by a lot of people online. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631260
Along with g60madman, he and I stayed up all weekend and ported Google's OPEN-SOURCE software to our phone. We were trying to give back to the community. I mean, this completely blew my mind, and you are already being made fun of EVERYWHERE.
Thanks for nothing, and I could not imagine working for a dum-dum like yourself.
Good day.
I just wanted the development community to know that this ignorance is still out there. I do not consider what we did to be malicious in ANY way, illegal, or immoral, and most of all, grounds to cancel an interview!
Please dev's, let this ignoramous know that the Android community is strong!
Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post this, but has anyone managed to extract the apk for the new Android version of Microsoft Office? They have as usual released it only in the US
Thanks in advance!
Anyone?
Is there really no interest for this? I understand that it also requires an Office 365 subscription, but I would have thought someone on the www would have deemed it worthy to extract.

Of course there's interest, but rather than bleat some of us search. Ever heard of google? It took me less than 5 minutes to locate, download and install the APK.
It works fine so google for "microsoft office android apk" and see what you can find
And the "douchebag of the year" award goes to...Bulbous! Let's all give him a big hand...
You think I didn't search? Did you see WHEN I made my first post? There was nothing available outside the Play Store on August 1st, even though it's pretty trivial for anyone living in a supported country to extract the apk.
Second of all, have you seen WHERE this apk is now available? Crappy sites that often mention that it's "cracked" or "full version" or some other such nonsense. How can I trust a site that could have inserted anything it wanted to in that apk?? Do you get ROMs from "The Dubai Emporium of Sheep Guts and Android" or do you come to XDA?
All over this site there are countless examples of people who asked for geographically restricted apps and got them, without all the crap you seem intent to give me. Also, as you can see I didn't post the second and third time until several days had passed in between, so any bleating is done strictly by you on your sheep farm, mofo.

You don't want me to post the link then?
After my OP I also found links on external sites, but none that seemed trustworthy...it would have been nice if a member of the community here would have extracted an apk for anyone who would have wanted it, as has been done many times in the past for other apps.
In any case, they did say they will expand it to 120+ countries in the future, so if no one steps up I'll just wait for "the future".

Hello, I saw somebody using a wireless phone handle with his device. Anybody knows which company made this product?
If it was one of those retro handsets, ThinkGeek.
Google "Bluetooth phone" and you might find it out. Picture search shows plenty of them.
