Hey guys, I have a hardware issue but first the background story
So my phone fell on concrete and the screen broke. I bought a digitizer and replaced it myself. After a month or so, I broke it again. I replaced it, but the unit I got was faulty, and I only got the replacement today.
I opened the phone again and replaced the digitizer, and it's working great!
however in the process I must have done something wrong since my audio/sound doesn't work anymore.
1)Loud speaker works just fine and the microphone works since I am able to talk to people and they hear me
2) When I plug in my earset, the sound works just fine on the earphone. The microphone switches over the earset's microphone and I can hear/talk just fine.
The only problem that I have is I can't hear anything if i put phone next to my ear :/ I opened again looked around, but didn't find anything obvious that might explain wha went wrong. Would anyone know where to look/what to test?
Cheers
anyone any idea please? D:
I haven't opened up my Mozart just yet but from my experience with HTC phones I would suggest checking the contacts of the speaker. They tend to have little springs on the speaker that come in contact with the mainboard and this is how the signal is transmitted. If these contacts are damaged then you will not hear anything.
With all the drops you may have damaged the speaker itself but I'm not sure of a way you could test that.
The problem i had was that I used my sony ericsson X8 headset and the sound came out funny, the thing that was cuasing it was the microphone. Try stock headset to see if it works. If it doesnt then you might want to get someone to check it or fix it. Up to you.
Hello you guys so my beautiful droid DNA was badly handled and it just so happened that my back speaker (the one beneath the beats logo) stopped working! So I ordered a part on eBay and it happened to be JUST the speaker , and if you've tried to replace the speaker before you could see that the speaker is connected to a lot of other things , and I was wondering if anyone knew how to take apart where the speaker was to replace it? All help is appreciated.
Hi guys,
A friend of mine have an S3. Few month ago, some girl vomited (I am not joking ahah) on his phone and the sound from speakers became really bad. The mic sound was also really bad. We decided to change only the speaker so we bought it online. Surprise: even with the new speaker the sound is really bad ! There is also some surprise...the mic is dead for no reason ! We tried many app like Sound Record and tried to record but it doesn't work. During the call the problem is the same ! The mic seems definitely dead.
Do you know what is the problem ? Do you have any idea ?
Many thanks and happy new year

Is the mic hole clean?
How long did he wait to clean it after? It could have shorted something inside like when it gets water in it.
The mic hole is clean. The mic was really bad nevertheless people can heard during the call. We just changed the loudspeaker and since the mic didn't work. I can't see the reason of this. There is no link between the loudspeker and main mic.
Did someone of you replace your mic in the past ? It seems not easy.
Hi!
I have two SGP321 with original firmware, one of them is perfectly working but the other one has no speaker sound (with headphones works fine)
I have tried to put the 'no sound' main PCB on the working one but still no speaker sound so I think there is some trouble with the main PCB, anybody knows how the PCB handles this and how to fix it?
Thanks!
Hey folks,
I got my mam a Padfone and the mic is broken on it. She brought it to a local repair shop but the mic they got in wouldn't work, there was no charge from them, but the phone still isn't fixed. She was using a pair of headphones with a mic and this was working ok, but I think the mic on the headphones got busted now. I can give her another set of headphones, but I'd rather replace the mic.
Does anyone know where I can order in the proper mic so the repair shop can fit it? Or if there's a generic mic that will fit it?
Any feedback would be great
