[Q] [Really Need Help] Xperia Neo would not start, only shows "sony ericsson" :(
Hi guys, I am new to this forum and a new smartphone user.
Last night I was updating my phone through PC companion, but the software dies half way for some unknown reason. Since then I could not turn on my phone.. It will only vibrates, shows "Sony Ericsson", and then an image of yellow triangle with an exclamation mark shows up, then it is turned off again. I tried charging, restarting my pc companion software to try to update my phone, but none of them work.
I saw some threads here and it seems that there are possible solutions, but because the terminology is quite strange to me I could not fully understand what I have to do What is a flashtool and SEUS? I tried to search them up on the net but the downloads seem to be unavailable?? I must be missing something here.
If anyone can help me with simple terminology I will really really appreciate it.. Thanks a lot!
Your phone's boot loader unlocked or not & if yes what method?(s1tool,official SE or setool2 paid) ? Here's a good tutorial about flashtool.

Hi,
This is my suggestion:
first download FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126358
Follow instructions (if u familiar with updating with sony ericsson pc companion, this u can do)
Simple, start FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick, click flash. Choose loader.sin on the right. Then click OK,
Turn of phone, hold in back button while connect phone with usb cable.
See its flashing, wait til its done, unplug phone,. try to boot up phone.
I am also a newbie, but this worked for me
pls give me a link to download SEUS, for xperia neo pls. pls help I am having the same problem pls help,

I don't think link is right mate, 404 page not found
Anyway @lilbunnyf if your phones boot loader is unlocked using s1tool method do not use seus or pc companion. As I read in forum this can brick your phone.Try flashtool. If you got a locked boot loader or patched one with setool2 then you can use pc companion(this thing saved my phone like 5-6 times now after kinda bricking it with roms kudos se for this xD)

I have the same problem...
but mine already unlock using s1tool, rooted using zergexploit and using cwm...
i wanted to install se tweak so i use cwm the installation is complete after rebooting my phone is bricked... so please... im begging help me...
i've tried using flashtool to reflash to stock but i cant get my phone connected... it seems i cant go to fastboot mode...
I managed to get stuck in a boot loop today. I have a locked bootloader and SEUS did the job, so I guess that is the best solution for the problem mentioned by OP.

Since you unlock it via s1tool, you should still be able to use SEUS.
Anw, why fastboot mode? Have you tried to connect it in flashmode?

Don't use standard method
Use battery removal method
Remove battery
Plug USB cable only
When software says press back key....
Hold back button while reinserting battery
That will work for sure
Unless you have a USB problem
Or an underlying hardware fault
Also make sure to remove sim and memory card

I am guessing that your friend pulled the sim card while the phone was plugged in, because you have to remove the battery to remove the sim card and that would power the device down. Hopefully you weren't flashing anything at that moment because he might have interrupted the flash. Try to flash again with flashtool including the baseband and make sure everything is coming from the same release of firmware. Make sure to check the flashtool log for errors and report any errors here....if everything is flashing correctly and you still get stuck see this tut for rescuing a hard bricked ray (the title is wrong, because it is for soft bricks like yours): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492805
I've bricked mine before, this helped a lot: (quoted from a site, I do not have the right to post external links)
You need a few files as we discuss hot to fix a bricked xperia ray :
A bricked Xperia Ray
A Computer with Windows
USB cable
S1 Tool ( credit : vikramam )
... well I guess if you google this you will fall on the site.
I had a bootloop because I didn't unlock the bootloader before flashing cm10 and ok long story but anyway this worked for me.
If not still I remember a .img file I flashed also to unbrick the phone.
If the S1 Tool do not work, I gonna look forward for the other file.

If you have you can repair the phone without connecting the phone.
Click start under support zone, click start under phone tablet software update, click repair in the window that says can't find phone / tablet,, PCC wil start downloading files and will ask you to connect in flash mode.
The phone must be turned off before connectinmg in flash mode.

Thank you very much guys! Flash tool worked THANKS
sorry for my late reply.
I will suggest that you should always have a backup in case of incidents like these.. this is a development site.
Accidents happen while developing.
Flashtool is always the best way to recover your phone and always have nandroid backup when you install a new mod.
Because when you flash to stock you lose your data but restoring nandroid backup using custom kernel solves the problem!
Hope i helped.
Thanks everyone my prob is solved! I did flashed it
