I rooted my phone and installed the latest CM10 Rom from this XDA thread -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1851912
However, although everything else seems to work just fine, such as Bluetooth, camera, etc., my GPS does not lock.
I've tried searching the forms here but I can't find a definite answer on how to get my GPS to lock.
When I used to have the the HTC EVO 4G, I had to do some ###GPS... stuff in a Sense ROM and then use that to get the GPS to lock when I installed CM7 but I found a few people who tried that and it didn't work.
Also, when I first tried installing the CM10 Rom, I got stuck with the CM10 boot animation so I followed the following instructions and finally got it to work:
Extract the boot.img from the CM9 ROM zip, and flash it through fastboot ("fastboot flash boot boot.img"), and then flash the ROM through recovery (or you can do that in the reverse order, and it should still work).
I think knowing that may also help.
Anyways, bottom line is, how can I get my GPS to lock in CM10.
I have TWRP installed.
That's not the newest build. Get the newest nightly here: http://get.cm/?device=jewel
Try flashing that and see if it helps your GPS issue.
And if you have HBOOT 1.15 or newer and have to flash the kernel (boot.img) separately in fastboot, make sure it's the one that comes in the new CM10 ROM zip you download from the above link.
Alternatively you can download GPS Tools from the market, it will erase location data cache and reset GPS, pretty nifty tool
I don't know if it will help or not, but some folks have been having luck with this process:
Do a clean install of CM10, wipe system, cache, dalvik, and do a factory reset, or flash the super wipe script that is available(do a search)
reboot phone after install see if GPS locks.
if not, reboot into recovery, and do a nandroid backup of your phone.
wipe phone again and do a clean install of a Sense ROM.
Boot into Sense Rom and get a GPS lock
immediately boot into recovery
this step is optional, but you can do a nandroid of your sense Rom at this point in case you need to go back.
Restore your CM10 nandroid and try to get a GPS lock.
Hopefully Profit!
Thanks for all the suggestions.
I tried all the suggestions but the one that temporarily worked for me was where you flashed a Sense ROM, got a GPS lock, went into Boot and flashed CM10. Unfortunately, this only works while you don't restarted your phone. It was working for me on CM10 but then I tested to see if GPS will lock after a restart and it didnt.
I'm just going to use FreshEVO until an official CM10 build is out and whenever this issue is addressed on a more official level.
Thanks again for all the help!

Official CM10 builds have been out for over a week. Hopefully you followed my suggestion and downloaded one from the link I provided. The one you said you used is an earlier unofficial build.
Hope everything works out for you.

Yup, I downloaded the lasted CM10 ROM and then followed the other two suggestions but the GPS locked during one session after going through a Sense ROM. But, like I said, once I restarted my phone, I lost the locking. I'll just wait until something more solid comes out.
Thanks again for all the help!
Chiming in that GPS still doesn't work in latest cm10.
Really frustrating, cm10 is still far from a daily driver. Any other GPS fixes to try before I go back to MeanRom?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
thats odd everything seems to work for me on the latest cm10 for the most part except there is no camera app. Does anyone know where i can get it from
Its suggested to use decks builds and not the official ones. Decks Irc builds will always have the latest fixes

I tried the latest nightly available in the cm10 thread and GPS still doesn't work.
Are the IRC builds even newer than the nightlies? Not having GPS is a dealbreaker for me and I'm unfortunately back on MeanRom until CM10 has working GPS.
Have you tried the clrgps trick? I don't remember the exact code but its floating around the forums, flash back to sense use this to clear and reset the GPA and then open maps to get a location fix, then flash back. Alternatively you can try downloading GPS Tools from the market to clear and reset gps

I tried downloading GPS Tools from the Play store and reset the GPS data and got a fix under MeanRom, then flashed back to CM10 and no GPS at all.
GPS locks nearly instantly under MeanRom, but under CM10 I let it sit out on my car dash for a 30 minute ride and it didn't lock on at all.
Here is the fix that worked for me. Flash to a Sense ROM, download GPS tools. Clear GPS data and then download GPS data. Make a Titanium backup of GPS Tools.
Flash back to your CM10 ROM, restore GPS tools through Titanium.
Never thought of that....clever
In location settings of cm10, you have to them on the internal GPS source. After flash it is set to external GPS source (Bluetooth device, etc.) After I switched this option, and did the sense trick, my GPS locks in seconds.

Where can I find this "GPS Tools" on the market? Whenever I search for that, I just get a bunch of GPS test crap. Is it not called GPS Tools? Also, can you explain the backup process using TB in more detail?

Basically the same thing as GPS Tools, I wonder what happened to GPS Tools, it was really simple to use

Hi everyone!
Well, I live in SouthAmerica (Argentina), and I bought an unlocked AT&T Atrix 4G a couple of months ago.
When I was on the stock Gingerbread Firmware, the GPS worked Fine. But when I unlocked the phone, and started playing with ROMs, the gps stopped working.
Currently I have CM7 Weekly #4, but i previously had: Wet Dream V1.3, CM7 Ba2TF, CM7 Weekly #3, and the issue was present on all of that roms.
I tryed with the proper gps.conf configuration for my country, and a lot more, and none of them worked or improved anything. I also tryed with the following apps: Faster Fix, GPS FIx, GPS Status, and again, none of them worked.
So, I was wondering (If there isn't any other solution): Can I go back to the Official AT&T Gingerbread Firmware (.SBF file), or I will brick my phone?
If so, anyone knows where can I find that SBF? Because all the links I saw were on Megaupload, Filesonic, Fileserve, or similar, and all of them are down, or restricting the download.
Help will be highly appreciated!

flash a stock rom SBF file using RSD Lite should be fine. But don't go back to Froyo, any Gingerbread stock roms should be ok.
Well, i installed the SBF, and now the GPS works perfectly...
Why It doesnt work in custom Roms?

Hi,
Could you please try Neutrino V2. 1p rom?
There is a gps tweak in add-on.
First, flash the rom and test the GPS.
Then if it work, flash the add-on.
But for me it's another problem, it's really strange...
Do you full wipe (with fastboot) before flash?
Let me know by PM, I will not follow this thread carefully.
We will found a solution ;-)
Regards
-JFK-
I have the same problem and tried everything like the posted said above.
Running Cyanogen 7.1 on AT&T (USA)
Wish I could be more helpful, but I can at least confirm that the GPS works fine for me running cm7 weekly #6 with faux123's 1.3 kernel (on an AT&T Atrix). In flight mode (i.e., no data and thus no A-GPS or other location assistance) I can get a lock in less than 10 seconds with a good view of the sky.
I do not know if you tried reflashing your radio as discussed in the atrix-dev-team faq:
code.google.com/p/atrix-dev-team/wiki/FAQ
You say you have tried various firmwares but didn't mention what kernels you were using. If you are using the stock kernels, the faux123 or Clemsyn kernels might be worth a shot . . . obviously you need to flash the right kernel (i.e., if you are using a cm7 firmware, use the custom kernels specifically built for cm7).
If you already tried all this, well, sorry . . . give -JFK-'s suggestion a try.

I tried the Neutrino ROM GPS fix, it worked amazingly. My phone was taking forever to lock, so I flashed the United_States.zip file from the GPS fix, and it solved my problem. Used GPSFix app from the Market/Play Store to finalize it.
I'm running Ba2TF Beta 3 (CM7.1).
Again, this file is only for the United States Atrixes.
had the same problem with the phone since first day i started using custom roms,
but i managed to solve it a few days ago..... what i did was
go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252011
and download the 3.x Google Specific CWM Flashable build there
or just click this direct link http://derekgordon.com/gps-files/agps.patch.google.build.cwm.v3.1.zip
flash it with CWM,
then using root explorer, go to your phone system\etc\
and open gps.conf with text editor,
with in the first few lines, u will see this
NTP_SERVER=ntp.derekgordon.com
Click to collapse
there is only one NTP server,
so go to http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/
and under active servers, select your sub-continent and u will some ntp server addresses, add that to your gps.conf.
than go into your country specific link and add the ntp server addresses u found there into the gps.conf file as well.
if you follow those steps correctly, your NTP server list for gps.conf should look like this for Argentina
NTP_SERVER=ntp.derekgordon.com
NTP_SERVER=0.ar.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER=1.ar.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER=2.ar.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER=3.ar.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER=0.south-america.pool.ntp.org

now go stand somewhere with open sky as sometimes buildings block the gps signal so it can't get a proper lock,
cross your fingers and activate your gps and hope it works....
and don't forget to leave the gps open a few mins for the first time you activate the gps after the above steps
as i remember reading somewhere in the AGPS original post that it kinda help the gps locks faster.....
if u are geeky and wanna know how many sats ur GPS is locking on,
download this neat GPS tool https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5lY2xpcHNpbS5ncHNzdGF0dXMyIl0
and see for yourself and while you are at it, u might wanna calibrate your compass for faster and more accurate GPS lock,
which can b done from (menu button)\tools\compass calibration
might as well do the 'calibrate pitch and roll' too,
but don't touch the 'manage A-GPS state' unless u know what u are doing as i have no idea what it does...
if you really wanna know how AGPS works, just go read it's original post here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252011
cause i dunno how it works, i just know that my gps works after flashing and tweaking it
I have also been reading that switching radios can help the gps signal lock. Might be worth your time to look into it as well.
I had this issue just the other day and i just had a setting unchecked were it wasnt useing the interal gps for the lock not sure how that happend but it fixed my problem

Thanks.
I looked at this. I've since switched to Neutrino but same problem.
In my settings it provides the option to use internal GPS (as the only option) but even when selected the GPS source states ""use external bluetooth gps..."
Could this be the issue, that for some reason it's not detecting GPS hardware?

As a followup to my GBTweaked ROM for locked bootloaders, I thought I should start a thread this.
This ROM is based off the Official Sony ICS Beta, and will feature many great tweaks similar to my other ROM.
And the best news, everything CDMA Related will be working!
I plan to have this up and running within the next week or so for unlocked bootloaders, followed by a released for locked as soon as an R800i ICS .tff is released.
Whats Working:
Almost everything thats not related to the CDMA Radio
Whats Sometimes Working:
Calls
Data
Some users are reporting them working, some are not.
Whats Not Working

Locked Bootloaders
Advanced User's Guide
(All download links in the Downloads section below)
1. Backup anything
2. Flash Sony ICS Beta
3. Reboot into recovery. Perform a factory reset
4. Flash DarkforestICS Kernel.
5. Flash ICSTweaked and Gapps
6. Enjoy
Beginner's Guide
1. Backup any apps/data using Titanium Backup or CWM (or if you dont like having your apps, skip this step.)
2. Download the Sony ICS Beta for Xperia Play from here.
3. Extract the contents to the location of your fastboot folder (Default should be "C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools")
4. Make sure your Xperia Play is turned off, and hold the search button (far right) while plugging your phone into the USB. (Your Notification light should now be blue.
5. Open up command prompt, and cd to the location of your fastboot folder.
6. You should now be able to issue the following commands
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
7. After all flashing is complete, reboot your device, and let it fully boot and configure itself. (If you've done this right, it should boot up the ICS Beta, and you should not be able to receive a signal.)
8. Turn off your device, and go into fastboot mode (as mentioned above.)
9. Download KeiranFTW's ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.8 from here, and boot it up as instructed in his thread.
10. Download ICSTweaked and gapps from the downloads section below. Save them anywhere that you have easy access.
11. Download KeiranFTW's Darkforest Kernel from his thread here, and save it to your fastboot folder.
12. Delete the boot.img you downloaded from the Sony ICS Beta, and rename the kernel you just downloaded to boot.img
13. On your phone, go into "Mounts and Storage > Mount USB Storage". You should now have SDCard access on your computer.
14. Move ICSTweaked and the gapps your downloaded to the root of your SDCard.
15. On your phone, do a full factory reset. Then proceed to flash ICSTweaked.zip, followed by the version of gapps you downloaded.
16. (Make sure your phone is unplugged at this point) After flashing, turn off your phone, and reboot back into fastboot mode.
17. Flash the renamed Darkforest Kernel (should now be boot.img) using the following command.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
18. Reboot your device, and enjoy the new ROM! First boot should take a while.

IMHO, until someone presents us with an ICS based ROM (not CM based, but Sony based) that has reliably functional CDMA capabilities including true 3G data capability and calling, NO ONE has already done this. Different ones of us have had data and calls working at one point or other but their results can't be duplicated by others following the exac same steps. Heck, I had calls and fully working 3G data at one point, until I made a nandroid to test something else. I could never get it to work again.

Agreed. I am current running it as a matter of fact. The one quirk I hate is the fact that the analog controls do not work correctly here in Pew Pew 2 Not pax's fault, but apparently an issue with the controls in CM9. Question is, can it be fixed? (Along with the Pac Man issue of course)
Version RC1 based on Wind 1.46.1500.3.
This ROM is designed for Wind variant only, READ EVERYTHING before flashing
I worked very hard to write the update.zip script and modifing the stock ROM to do this as flawless as possible. I am also providing my own direct mirrors at my own expenses
Everything is done practically from scratch, so any donations will be appreciated!
Boot partition (kernel) will not be touched or included in this ROM, so Wind users can safely flash away!
Features:
------------------------------------------------------------
deodexed
zipaligned on boot
1% battery steps notification icon
overscroll glow (white)
disabled capacitive button lights
allows it to go to mininal brightness when dark enough (autobrightness)
minimum clock speed to 192MHz from stock 384MHz to save battery
my build.prop tweaks
blocked ads
DSP Manager
removed some bloat
removed Wind's bootanimation (that was ugly as hell....)
disable ext4 journaling
sd cache to 2048 to improve speed
updated crap loads of system apps
I am probably missing a few more, can't remember all
Planned Features:
------------------------------------------------------------
30 Media Steps (done)
Transparent Scrollbars so it does not look so "old" (done)
CRT off animation (done, thanks to heyjoe66!)
Webkit text reflow disabled by default (looking into this)
Fix garbled camera preview and video playback (looking into this)
* done means will be added to next release
Bugs:
------------------------------------------------------------
- Mail cannot start and FC every time due to some hard coded lines in Mail.apk, it requires an odexed framework. FIXED IN RC2
- If you are coming from another custom ROM, you must nand restore to original or RUU to global. Otherwise, you will get codec issues for lines in videos and camera previews.
Install instructions:
------------------------------------------------------------
Unlock bootloader
Install TWRP recovery
Nand backup (boot, system)
Flash Clear Wind zip
Reboot
If you are coming from another custom ROM:
Use hasoon2000's toolkit and install original Wind's kernel or flash RUU
Install TWRP recovery
Nand backup (boot, system)
Flash Clear Wind zip
Reboot

I will be deploying through fastboot, no need to flash custom recovery theoretically. And the deployment only flashes the system partition, I also have a stock unmodified version of system(not even rooted) so you can always go back to stock if necessary.
So all you need is unlocked bootloader, but you can always relock it after you reflash my stock system.img through fastboot
I'm willing to beta test it
(Side note: I'm in the need of the stock wind rom, hope you have it )

You can find the most recent WIND/GlobaLive RUU's and most others in my public Dev-Host folder (linked below). I uploaded them here because if was very hard to get an open download slot at FileFactory.com (used by Football & TMartin) Dev-Host has been reliable me (I donated a little $$ to them as well, so we can all have easy access to these files).

Turns out, you can't use fastboot to flash images that big.... I am not sure how RUU could. I searched it up, seems like a lot of RUU's are having the same issues.
You will need to use custom recovery, for this one, I chose TWRP. (might work with CWM)
It is in your best interest to do a nand backup for now with your stock unmodified system because I never tried RUU if it can fully recover. I can provide the stock recovery image later so you can restore using custom recovery and flash the original recovery image via fastboot then relock, no need RUU at this point.
You flash RUUs by renaming it to P85IMG.ZIP (correct me if I'm wrong) have it on your sdcard (don't remember if Internal or external) then boot into HBoot. It will find the file and flash it. Not sure if you must relock your bootloader or not.
Wait....I sent this with Tapatalk?

Yeah, I am aware of the process, but it is just that i found some other HTC devices getting the errors. I am not sure how RUU handles the process, even renaming it to "P85IMG.ZIP" might end up extracting the img files inside, one of them being system.img.
for the global RUU's, they come in exe format, I think it walks you through the process to restore it, but I never did.

Pretty sure within recovery, I can adb shell and use dd to copy it over, but it will require 1.5GB + on the sdcard for the uncompressed system.img. so yeah, that is why i made the update zip instead, easier for people to use. If they are required to use custom recovery, might aswell make it easy for them

Is it correct file to download?
Just tried to download and it was incomplete every attempt. Not sure if this would make a difference, but I was downloading with my Amaze. Will try again when I get home.

I am not sure what happened. Reuploading it again
I would hit you up with a thanks, mine are all used up for today. Will owe it up tomorrow. The picture looks great though! Nice and tidy rom. I too can not stand the boot animation and all the bloat from the stock rom.
No camera (lines instead of live image), no WiFi (error), no Exchange Sync (force close).
Wiped /data - still no success.
What's wrong? What kernel do I need?

Because you are using a Wind variant, and you have installed a custom ROM with custom kernel not supported by Wind variant. you need to use the toolkit to flash Wind's kernel and flash Clear Wind again

Can you point out where can I find a stock 1.46.1500.3 kernel?
BTW I flashed [Kernel]Amaze[2.6.35.13](v009)OC~1.73/JRCU/UV/CIFS+UTF-8/Power Saving[Mar-13] kernel now.
WiFi is now working, but still no camera/Exchange.
Are you sure Exchange force close can be kernel-related?

Faux's kernel has different video codec handling, your camera or any other video playback in youtube etc in horizontal will look like that until you install the Wind's kernel. You will need toolkit version 3.1, not 3.0 on xda. you can find it on android-dev.us
I am getting FC's on the Mail app too, I think it is the result of deodexed framework. I see lots of other ROMs are having the same issues logged in thedebug monitor. Anything else FC's?

No other FC so far.
Just flashed stock kernel. No go, still lines in camera.
Wiped data, system, cache.
Trying to reinstall the rom.
UPD
Performed a clean reinstall. Epic fail.
Same here, getting lines in the camera. Everything else works fine (besides mail FC)
Hello
I have investigated the problem for one week and found a solution for me
The Problem is the short distance of the Bluetooth audio transmission!
There are two settings file for the BCM4334 WIFI BLUETOOTH IC and it seems that it depends on the phone which is better.
For me it sadly was not the common used for CM10 nightly!
So i build two CWM files for you to test the differences.
Maybe we can find out on what it depend
I bought my S3 in Austria (the carrieris H3G) and for me bcm4334_semcosh works fine!
greetings
Patrick
Hi Patrick
So. I had i fine working BT audio streaming with cm 10. Then Changed to cm10.1. BT-connection was crap.
Flashed both of your files.
Aaaaaand: tataaa. the second one seems to work for me.
Thanx a lot!
so you are able to establish a audio-stream-connection longer than 1m?
This works for me! Used the second zip file listed (bcm4334_semcosh.zip) and it did the trick. Tried streaming some music from about 5m from the receiver, no problems at all! Thanks OP!
On CM10 I had excellend bluetooth audio streaming up to +/- 6 metre, on CM10.1 audio is (just) ok with max distance +/- 1 metre.
For who want to know, the Samsung bluetooth firmware files (bcm4334*) wrapped in the two packages in the first post are also in the CM 10.1 rom, see screenshot or browse to /system/bin/
Seems like the murata version is installed by default by CM 10.1.
I did a manual copy, rename and a reboot to try both files (e.g. to try the murata version, copy bcm4334_murata.hcd to bcm4334.hcd).
Both files give me the same performance I had already, sound is ok and max distance still +/- 1 metre.

Thank you so much for your help. Finally I am able to use cm10.1 on my SGS3. Also for me the bcm4334_semcosh fixed the problem. I can leave my Phone in my pocket while driving.
New problem:
But now I have the problem that when i have had a call in the car I have no sound coming out the speaker when I get called or receive mail for example. The phone needs a reboot to get sound back. Cm10.1 b.t.w. Am I the only one?

Hi there!
I'm on CM 10 on my SGS 3 too and have the problem of not being able to pair with my car's radio.
The two files didn't help, still can't pair.. it simply gets stuck at "Pairing.." in the Settings app.
I'm also using an austrian SGS3 (unlocked) with Siyah kernel and CM 10..
Any suggestions?
Greetings from another Patrik

No Cell Data
I'm using Galaxy S3 Verizon with cm-10.1-20130121-EXPERIMENTAL-d2vzw-M1
I flashed both of these files using ClockWork Mod. Neither helped my performance. I still have very poor Bluetooth A2DP audio and it will cut out after about a minute of playing.
The bigger issue I'm having is that I now get zero cell phone reception. I can't make calls, send texts, or use cell data. Wifi, GPS, and bluetooth all work. I had the phone in airplane mode when I flashed the first file, but I'm thinking that wouldn't have affected it.
Any ideas on how to get back to the original bcm4334 file?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I actually did that and after the reboot I still don't have cell service. I even backed up all my apps and settings with Titanium. Wiped all user data and wiped cache, then flashed again. After doing the initial setup after the reboot, I still don't have cell service. I'm going to try to flash a different version of CM10.1, one of the nightly's and see if that helps any. I wish I would have done a full backup with CWM before flashing that bluetooth file

hm
yes a full wipe dont help
but if you flash CM again it is for sure overridden!
So your problem have another source.
I would guess you had flashed an other radio rom (CM dont come with Radio so new flashing has no effect on radio rom)
Also call problems are independent of the bluetooth hardware ...
I would recommend you to flash the orginal rom again and then rood again and then again flash CM but be careful as flashing is risky
greetings Patrick
Yeah I'm starting to think it was a just a coincidence that it stopped working when it did. From other threads I've found the best bet will be to indeed flash back to stock ROM and then back to CM. I'm downloading the stock ROM now found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762204
The only thing I did was flashed that semcosh.zip file using CWM though, so I'm not sure how that would have affected my radio.
Good thing it's a slow day in the office! Also, I think I'm just going to use wired headphones from now on!
---------- Post added at 03:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:37 PM ----------
Just an update. I downloaded that root66.tar and flashed it with Odin. Did a full data wipe after (because it was stuck on the Verizon 4g splash screen). Still didn't have cell connection. Then did the step 2 on this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35600769&postcount=2
Open the dialer and enter *2767*3855#
After it did some other sort of factory reset, I finally have cell connection again. And all before I leave work for the day.
Same issue here

I have the same problem as you. When I disconnect from the car, all notification sounds are lost, BUT I've realized that you don't need to reboot. If you recieve a call to your phone (no email, sms or whatsapp, only a call will do the trick), it will actually ring and from then on, notifications go back to normal. It's not actually a fix, but until one comes out, it makes this issue a little less a pain in the ass.
Hope this helps. If anyone knows how to fix this for real then help is largely appreciated.
PS. My first custom ROM in S3 was CM10.1 nightly (the latest version available today) so I can't tell what happened before, but except for the mentioned issue and maybe a subtle loss in streaming quality, BT pairs and streams quite alright. Oh, and the media system in my car (Citröen C4) used to show artist and song name while streaming and doesn't anymore.

Info and stuffs
This might be a minor update, but there are quite a few changes as far as reception things go.
I've flashed this 4 times and it installs differently each time. So MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!!!!
After Flashtool from ZV4, I had to do a battery pull when it was trying to boot up. But then it booted right up.
I need to run this for a few days before I do any changes for BARE?????
More later
Thanks for the quick update! Unfortunately for me I am stuck at the LG logo though. Any ideas? (Did clean wipe twice as well as a few battery pulls)

What bootloader are you on? You need to be using ZV4 bootloader.
Also check the md5sum.
Let it sit for a couple minutes when on the logo. It seems to take it's sweet time.

Not sure on bootloader, I would assume ZV4 as I had that originally when I got the phone *and have since just flashed updates from here* I can check if there is a way?
I did check the md5sum, that matched. I am guessing the above?

Your on ZV4 if you haven't rooted ZVA, B, or C. Try flashing it again and give it a couple minutes at the logo. It should then go to the updating android thingy.
I kinda wondered if this one would give us issues. It just didn't feel right when I was working on it. But it runs just fine when installed. And I've installed it 4 times.
If that doesn't work, try flashing the ZV4 rpm, tz partitions and ZVB modem, after flashing the rom. And before booting it up. Maybe?
If there are others that have issues, then I'll need to re-work it.
Edit. @ssmercurys OK, I'm pretty sure, at least in your case, its the rpm,tz partitions.
So flash the ROM, then flash the zv4 rpm,tz partitions, then reboot.
You can find them in post #2 or #3 of almost all of my roms. I'll get them here too.

You shouldn't need to use flashtool. Unless you want to. I did it just to clean things up before updating.
Try putting the rom on internal sd and remove your ext sd. Then flash it. Your ext sd might be causing issues also. It's just another easier option than flashtool. And it helps rule that out. Or as the culprit.
I'm in the same boat as ssmercurys. Stuck at the animated LG logo, I tried flashing the ZV4 zip file you mentioned and it did not help.

Read all of page one and see if any of that helps.
There's been 25 dl's, and only 2 of you having issues so far. Even if only half are installed it's got to be something with your phones causing the issues.
Install without ext sd card.
Flash the zv4 rpm, tz partitions in post #2.
Make sure to give it a couple minutes at the LG logo. It's kinda slow on first boot sometimes.
Clean install. So wipe /system, /cache, /dalvic, and /DATA.

Tried that this morning. No go. Still gets stuck at the LG animated logo.
Just wanted to report that i flashed the Fulmrics rom this morning, it flashed but no sim, no data. So i flashed this & everything went fine, booted right up, setting it up, almost done & haven't even had a fc. Wow though, i haven't seen this much bloat for years lol. I know its totally stock, but. Hey, question, now that I've flashed this the modem will stick correct? I mean if i were to flash an aosp rom later I'd have this modem still until i flashed say zvb modem yeah? Thank you for this!

It'll stick and so do the rpm, tz partitions.
But be careful with the international roms. Some of them include modems and other partitions. Easily fixed with a flash though.
Ok thanks for the info. I know this is $hitty of me to ask here, but what the heck I'll give it a go, I flashed your zvb last week & tried getting xposed to work & could not get it. I think maybe installed wrong one, can someone direct me to the exact one needed, that would be much appreciated
Edit - I saw somewhere that the roms need to be deodexed, maybe thats why not workinh

So you got this ROM to boot? @engine95 I just did a full ZV4 tot restore to stock/re-root and this still sticks for me at the LG animated logo. I think I have ruled out it is not my configuration, rolling back to ZVB works just fine.
**Update for you - So I clean flashed ZVB after the ZVC failed after TOT/root. After ZVB settled in, I left it as is with no changes and dirty flashed ZVC over it, it is now doing the "Android is upgrading" Hope this helps, if you need anything from me let me know.
I'm on stock rooted ZVB. Is it possible to dirty flash this? Just don't really feel like having to reinstall everything. I bought my phone with 4.4.2 and OTA'd to ZVB then rooted
