[Q] [HELP]Xperia P boot problem - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

yesterday I got xperia p with boot problem
it keeps rebooting after Xperia logo
I tried to flash it with Flashtool and SEtool but when I start falshing with flashtool it will stuck in reading device info
14/028/2012 13:28:17 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode

and when I try to flash it or getting device info with SEtool box it will stuck in "push volume down or back key and connect your device via usb" and the green bar get full and blank
it seems to be drivers problem so I installed all flashmode, fastboot and Xperia P adb drivers from flashtool drivers package
I also tried 2 windows PCs
1- Win 7 , 32 bit
2- Win XP
but no result
thanks in advance for all your helps

try to install pda.net it will re-install your driver.

I tried pdanet to re-install my drivers but its about adb drivers not flashmode
I also tried SUS and now I'm almost sure that this problem comes from Drivers cuz SUS doesn't recognize my device when the green led is on and in device manager my phone is named SEMC flash device and here I also changed the driver manually to STE8500.inf from flashtool driver
and there is no good result till now :|

Drivers
Its all about the drivers. Install SUS, Gordons Gate Flash Drivers, The Flash drivers from flash tool and finally turn off the phone holding power button and volume up for 30 seconds and try flashing it again

Hi again
I do all things which might help updating drivers and so on
but no answer from phone
I thought that this might be because of boot problem
is there any way not use jtag or other ways of boot repair to do this job?

[Q] Bricked X10 mini pro

Hi, I bricked my SE Xperia X10 Mini pro(u20i). I have root, recovery(CWM) and CyanoComb v1.4. When I rebooted phone, unlocked screen it shows errors about apps that they closed and than the phone rebooted. I can't do nothing, go to recovery is impossible. I tried flashtool but it's need to enable uknown sources an debugging but i can't go to system. SEUS didn't respond when i connect the phone with back button... HELP ME! Thanks
Edit: Now i see that the Flasher shows error after plugin phone in flash mode. HELP!
I looked into my magic glass bowl and saw that you did something and my future cards said you will have gotten some help. But not specifically.
I hope this disburdens yourself a bit.
Now after you cooled down and recognized that the information(s) you gave us is too unspecific you can go on to give more informations.
But first:
Doi you have the correct ftf file(s) for flashtool? Flashtool does not need to have anything enabled on your phone. Also SEUS should work. If not you bricked your phones hardware.
My guess is you did not correctly follow the instructions to use SEUS. Follow them step by step. They are well explained. Possibly you haven't the correct driver on your PC... But this did not tell me my glass bowl, this stupid thing. May you tell us what operating system you use? Maybe reinstalling SEUS will help. Do you have the actual VFewrson of SEUS? I guess SEUS is the better choice then flashtool for you. (both do the same but flashtool can flash other roms)
Good luck.
I have W7 and XP, i tried SEUS and Flashtool on both. I downloaded UK 2.1 ROM and than I did .ftf file. After i enter flash mode in Flashtool it say: Error Flashin Aborted, Now unplug your device and power it on, turn on Uknown sources and Debugging.
In SEUS, when it ask to turn in flash mode, I do it but SEUS didn't recognize my device.

@wOrHeR SvK: i had the same behaviour with Flashtool, so i powered off the device, powered on in flash mode and reflashed with FlashTool, after that it was flashed fine (don't follow the ending message to activate unknown sources and other crap, you don't need it... focus only at flash stage, that's what you need).
By the way Snoopo is right, flashing with SEUS (open application and search for "repair your phone" or something like that) does the job in every circumstance but hardware failure.
Good luck!
nothing... I turned on in flash mode and than click flash in Flashtool. Same problem... SEUS can't recognize... I Don't know why but before it was OK
tommorow i will go to my friend and try it at his PC
redownload the ftf file... did you possibly load a mini (u10) file instead a x10 mini pro (u20)?
did you use the right version of Flashtool? The one from Androxyde/Bin4ry [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746]?
Use SEUS to reinstall your ROM
yeah, tried 0.2.8 and 0.2.9.1. SEUS still not working...
Correct Flashfiles are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=826455
And SEUS also should work. What are the error messages? Make sure your phone is really OFF, start SEUS choose "x10 mini pro" (NOT "mini pro" without "x10" - this is a coplete new model and not really released yet) and go through the process until it says you have to connect your phone and do it exaclty like it is explained: hold the back-button while you are connecting your phone hold it down as long as it is looking for your phone when it starts flashing you can release the button. there should be the green indicator LED showed while the restore is running.
The Flashtool ones you pasted look like the flashmode is started successfully but it is possibly a wrong flash file. So try the correct one(s) (rename the .rar file downloaded from page above into .ftf)
otherwise you really bricked your boot partition and can try if SE wants to rescue your phone or if it says that your warranty is void...
SEUS still nothing, tried everything... Flashtool: when i first turn phone on to flash mode and than click flash in flashtool, it say Start Flashing and than the Error but when it says the error the green led is off and the phone is going to start... any idea ?
also SEUS isn't showing any errors, just say that i have to connect phone in flash mode...
I can boot to system but in system it showing errors about apps thah must close.... That isn't bricked boot patriton i think.

remove driver then install seus
download seus from here http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/mobilephones/downloads/subject/updateservice/xperiax10minipro?cc=us&lc=en
its Update Service not pc companion
it will work 100 % if you have right driver and not failed phone hardware

Install the driver of fast boot from flashtool.. When enter into the fastboot mod if any driver installation wizard comes then go for advance installation.. Then go for available driver probably the last option.. Then it will show the s1 fastboot driver. select it.. Then try to connect in fastboot mod it will work.I was facing this problem.. But I solved it.. Bt I was on xp.. So try it.. It may work

try to flash stock rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43897224
You need to be in flashmode to flash something
This means take out the battery, wait a few seconds, insert it again, hold volume down and while holding volume down connect the phone to your pc. The green led will indicate you are in flashmode.
Then you click in flashtool on the flash - flashmode - select the .ftf for your device (mini, st15, smultron) and click OK.
When it has finished flashing you should be able to boot up your phone
Or even better and easier would be the repair option in PC Companion or Sony Update Service :good:

You don't need to enable anything
In flashtool do what I told you, select the ftf etc and click ok. There'll be a windows that tells you to connect the device in flashmode.
Now you take the battery out of your phone, wait a few secs, insert it again and now just press volume down and connect it via usb to your PC. Don't power it on! Just press volume down while it's turned off and connect the usb
It will automatically start flashing and when it's finished, unplug your device and start it. If it won't start flashing because it doesn't recognize your device, go to the flashtool installation folder - drivers and install all drivers for all modes/devices again. Then try to flash the firmware like I told you :good:

Before you try to unlock or flash, just leave flashtoll open and connect in fastboot mode, if all is ok it will show in dlashtool window.

[Q] I flashed the wrong rom

I flashed the wrong rom on my Xperia Z2, I tried fixing it by flashing tft file, but I couldn't even get the device into flashmode (Power + Vol up), It just never vibrates, when I put it in the charger it just keeps blinking red.
What's the proper fix for this? and is this a soft-brick or hard-brick? Please help.

Flashmode is not Power button + Volume up. But...
Connect USB to ur computer
Then Hold the Volume Down key on your phone while u connect the USB Cable to the phone.
If you successfully get to flashmode, then u can flash an FTF file for ur phone. (This will also wipe internal sd files if you don't untick 'data' under wipes) Then again, phone might not boot properly if you don't wipe as u said something about custom ROM.
OR Follow these steps I found on Sony website
1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps
Tried using flashtool with Vol down buut
18/058/2014 23:58:26 - ERROR - Drivers need to be installed for connected device.
18/058/2014 23:58:26 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.
I'm sure that I have the drivers installed as I tried earlier today to unlock the bootloader through flashtool (which didn't really work out) and it recognized the device just fine.
right now it doesn't even show the Sony logo..I'll try PC Companion method in seconds..
EditC Companion is asking me to make sure that the battery level is above %80, when I was flashing the new rom, the battery level was around %50, should I care about this, or is it just an extra precaution? because I don't really see a way for me to know the battery level.

I'm sure 50% is enough to install through PC Companion unless ur battery is bad.
And do you by anymeans use windows 8? If you do, Did you disable driver signature while installing Flashmode, Fastboot and Z2 drivers from the C:\Flashtool\drivers folder, or where ever u installed flashtool to.
I believe I didn't disable driver signature, I connected the device to a different usb port too just to be sure, my OS is windows 8.1.
PC Companion is updating the phone right now, I'll see how it turns out and report back to you, thanks.
Edit:It worked, my phone is alive, thank you, stanley <3
