hi, i have xperia u (bootloader unlocked).everything was working fine untill i format my laptop.but now everytime i flash my device or i install different roms on my phone ,flashtool needs drivers for my device everytime. after installing drivers it was working ok(flashmode and fastbbot) but now i can't enter my XU in fastboot mode.flashtool says it needs drivers to be installed but i have already installed them...any solution?
one more thing my XU touch screen not working well, it works some times but some times it does not responds at all...i have checked the touchscreen patterns and i think its not a hardware issue( as i don't have any dead spots on the screen).....any solution?
and i have noticed that whenever i go to mounts and storage in cwm it shows the system unmounted ....is that a problem?
plzzzz help me..

And PCC or SUS have you tried intslling them?
Install the driver of fast boot from flashtool.. When enter into the fastboot mod if any driver installation wizard comes then go for advance installation.. Then go for available driver probably the last option.. Then it will show the s1 fastboot driver. select it.. Then try to connect in fastboot mod it will work.I was facing this problem.. But I solved it.. Bt I was on xp.. So try it.. It may work

Try on another computer.
I had drivers problem with Windows 7 at first and indeed on xp I did not, but It was different driver not the one from flashtool.
I can't remember if it was flashtool or PC Companion that fixed it but they work ever since so far.

2- Win XP

I tried pdanet to re-install my drivers but its about adb drivers not flashmode
I also tried SUS and now I'm almost sure that this problem comes from Drivers cuz SUS doesn't recognize my device when the green led is on and in device manager my phone is named SEMC flash device and here I also changed the driver manually to STE8500.inf from flashtool driver
and there is no good result till now :|
Drivers
Its all about the drivers. Install SUS, Gordons Gate Flash Drivers, The Flash drivers from flash tool and finally turn off the phone holding power button and volume up for 30 seconds and try flashing it again

I do all things which might help updating drivers and so on

I thought that this might be because of boot problem
is there any way not use jtag or other ways of boot repair to do this job?
Ihave problem with Bin4ry's root tool. it doesn't do anything, just says * daemon started successfully * and stopping here. then i tried flashtool, installed drivers from zero. when i connect my device with usb debugging to pc, flashtool says

I have exactly the same problem with my Xperia U.

Same problem with my Xperia U too ....
Any way to have usb debug "on" ?
(Of course I have usb debugging enabled in menu, confirmed in the notification bar ...)

I have the exact same problem. I tried everything and nothing works. Any idea?
try to make a factory data reset and try to turn it on
or try try to flash the ics rom again
if nothing work you need to be an unlocked bootloader user
or if you tried to root with restore while you are opening the flash tool it wont work cuz the root with restore makes any rooting programe not work

where i can see this option in cyanogen mod 7 ? i cant find it
Simplest solution - just don't use flashtool for fastboot. Download android-sdk and install platform-tools. Follow this guide from step 9 - http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
It will 100% work.:good:
Also, you should have posted in the Q&A section.
its not working
installed android SDK, platform tools , copied android_winusb.ini .... but when i try to connect via fastboot it asks for drivers and i installed it but it says that i have latest drivers... its not workiiing (
can you send me better guide with screenshots or something like that ?
It worked in past good ... but now its not working
Okay, first maybe you want to delete your current flashtool, then just install latest flashtool version
Then check all the drivers and install it
If still not working, maybe you want to uninstall your current fastboot driver:
Right-click My Computer, click Manage, and then click Device Manager.
Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
find S1Fastboot driver under other devices (i think... i forgot), right click and uninstall
After that just reinstall all the driver again from the fastboot folder
maybe it will work, correct me if im wrong
*)if still didn't work, just try to do it on other pc
in device manager , i cant find the s1fastboot driver ... isnt there but i installed all the drivers but they arent here
it works on other pc ... thanks .. but on this pc it dont work... on second pc i installed all drivers and it works... here i installed same drivers and it dont work

Go to the place where you installed flashtools then inside drivers folder find an app called "Gordon's gate " install and open. it'll automatically reset drivers.
Next time you can connect it normally in flash-mod (may be asked for drivers, you can install from "drivers " folder)
Have luck:beer::thumbup:

You need to install 3 drivers :
Neo V Driver (ADB)
Flashmode drivers
Fastboot drivers
1-are you doing all these stuff on windows 8 ?
cuz its different to install adb fastboot and flashmode drivers
flash tool may not recognize your phone
2-in log does it say "ending flash session" and pauses there and nothing happens ?

Mate I think the flashtool drivers in windows 7 & 8 is the same but the problem in windows 8 is the USB 3.0 driver...
For windows 8 user they need to change the USB 3.0 driver as here:
