Kernel panic help please - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My missus has a i9100t that I rooted about 2 months ago. I keep getting kernel panic.
I have tried numerous combinations of roms and kernels mainly various versions of cyanogenmod, resurrection ROM and Muei with various versions of siyah and CM9 kernel. But I keep getting the kernel panic about 2 or 3 times a day.
Any advice would really help because it us getting very annoying. I also have a i9100 which I never have this issue with.

1.
-What do you mean by "kernel panic"?
- did you Black screen, sleep of death (SOD), or sudden reboots?
2. Post your ROM and kernel details, Goto Settings - About, and post everything you see.
3. If you have any additional info that may help solve your problem, please post them

Kernel mode: upload only as per attached pic. I also included screenshots of the about phone screen. Note: even though it says i9100 it is most definitely a i9100t (says so under the battery)
Thanks

Have you changed the kernel Tweaks?
#If yes then reset your tweaks parameters on CWM

1. Download Siyah kernel 4.1.5 or 3.5.2 here: www.gokhanmoral.com/
2. Boot to CWM recovery
- select kernel specific options, reset Extweaks profile
- flash Siyah kernel
- wipe cache partition
- wipe dalvik cache
- reboot phone

it will be fine. Your problem was a known bug in Siyah 4.1.2 and 4.1 beta

Ok so it's been a day and I had 2 kernel panic events today. I don't think the issue has been resolved.
I'm wondering If using a kernel cleaner may help? I've never used one and read several posts where they recommend not to.
Any advice?

Flash stock ROM and check if the problem persists.

Yeah, flash cleaning script first. Download it from here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363738&highlight=ultimate+kernel+cleaning+script

I have used a stock rom before and it wouldn't go into kernel panic, it would just freeze and begin heating up.
I'll try the kernel cleaner and see how it goes over a day.
Also just wanted to thank you for taking the time to help me out.

within the last 5 hours it has kernel panicked twice, so I guess it hasn't worked. I will try putting a stock ROM on to it again and see how it goes. Failing that. I'm stumped

pin lock not working

i'm running Illusion-xT v1.7.2 with Siyah latest and I can't setup a 4 digit pin to secure my cell. The pattern lock works fine. How can I fix this?
Thanks
I don't use Pin unlock.. but just tested it for the sake of seeing if it worked on my end.. and it does. Are you touching OK after you enter pin?
sent via Galaxy SII
yes I'm hitting ok. Are you running the same mod rom as I'm ?
Just using default kernel for Illusion-xT 1.7.2. Only way to really know is make a backup and try reflashing 1.7.2 and then test with default kernel. See if you get the same results.. maybe it can be narrowed down to the Siyah kernel.. don't know.

what i suppose is that there is a conflict between the rom and the kernel, what i would suggest you do is install a different kernel, like siyah or N.E.A.K
try this first tho
1) go into mount and storage then format system
2) get the latest siyah on ur SD card and flash it from recovery
3) try reinstalling hydra
coming to my house proves it. but yesterday I did that but left with a semibrinck ... I am not sure why that was. thank you very much for the answer

[Q] Just flashed Siyah Kernel on Omega Rom.. Gives black screen

Hey all,
I'll try keep this short and sweet. I just flashed Siyah Kernel 1.5.4 on my GS3 (currently running Omega v26) and it flashed fine, rebooted the phone and logo showed up all good. However, past that stage the screen goes black and I'm not sure if it's actually booted into the phone.
I can press the menu/back buttons and they respond, but nothing shows up on screen. I can also enter recovery/download mode, so I've tried reflashing the original CF-root kernel and still no luck.
Currently going to try a nandroid restore but does anyone have ideas what the case might be and how to fix it?
Cheers,
poopehz
You need siyah 1.6x for roms based on jb leaks.

Thank you Theshawty, this was it. I automatically assumed the kernel I downloaded from Omega Kitchen app would be compatible.. apparently not.
Appreciate the help.
Hi all, so can I use syah 1.6 kernel on omega 26.1? Did somebody test it?

Do i have a brick bug ??

I rooted my phone using rachmat3 methed awhile back then flashed Siyah-s2-v4.0.1-CWM.zip everthing went ok i have been using the kernal for 2days now nd i was going to flash my first rom last night but cwm wouldnt load on my third attempt it worked but im put off flashin rom incase of a brick bug.
Anyway my phone went funny earlier everything on my phone went a negative colour i restarted phone its normal again whats wrong??
Heres my specs

siyah = safe
Siyah is safe from the superbrick bug. You have other problems
Sent from Jelly Fuelled SGS2
The brick bug has two parts playing role. A hardware bug, i think intratech has tool to detect that. And a software( kernel )which allows to use of a specific command to erase data while flashing.
If those conditions are met, and you try to flash a new rom which uses that erase command ur phone becomes bricked.
Most new kernels are safe, but you should check logs and user feedback beforehand to be sure. One version of siyah had the bug but now it's removed afaik. (i have faulty chip and I'm on siyah)
By the way inverse colour is a siyah "feature". Press home 4 times

first u can use the kernel that comes with PA v2.16 for a cpl of re-charge cycles and see the performance later u can flash siyah kernel if u feel so
But woudnt i need siyah kernel to restore my back up incase of problems or can that be done using stock pa

If you want to keep Siyah and PA together, in CWM just flash PA then Siyah again.

Wifi disconnect

Am running cwm7.2.This is a used phone. It is rooted and unlocked.I reset and wiped phone before I flashed rom.
The phone works fine.Except...Wifi connects then disconnects.I have reconfigured all the info of the wifi sources I have tried. No luck.It continues to connect, disconnect.
If anyone can direct me to a thread or has any suggestions I would appreciate any help.I have looked thru stickies and threads(albeit not all).Thnx,rbb1robert
