[Q] LG Prada 3.0 .kdz Firmware customize ? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello XDA and all other !!
I've seen it's possible to create Custom Roms for many LG phones. Now I would like to try to make such a Rom for my LG Prada 3.0.
For first I've already done these things:
- ICS Root (Thanks to 'Walhalla') :good:
- CWM Recovery (Thanks to 'Milaq') :good:
- Extract original Lg-Firmware (V20D.kdz) (After finish I've: LGP940_AP[0 - 10].bin and LGP940_CP.fls with LGExtract.exe)
Question 1:
What are the possibilitys to bring the normal .kdz-file to a flashable .zip-file for CWM, for example the CyanogenMod9.zip from
any other device?
Before flashing I'd like to modify the .zip-file of course!
Question 2:
My second Question is not so much important but I'm also interested why there is a Bug.
So I've downloaded an other Cyanogenmod-based Rom and modify the build.prop. But during flash the file on my P940 I got an error.
It shows something like this:
"get_prop.build_id"=P500 is dissimilar to the phone's build.prop!"
But why ? I've edited the build.prop! Why is the build_id still like P500 ?
Is this Error because of a fault from the fresh ported CWM ?
I hope this isn't to much to you! An executable answer for the first questing would help me most of the rest!
Sincerely
PRADA_Customizer

Nobody, who could help me ?

Korean Optimus One Cutom ROMs

i heard that it is possible to root & install custom recovery properly & flash custom rom onto the Korean version of the P500, the Optimus One. Apparantly, there are some more functions like DMB.. and there seems to be a driver problem. The phone doesn't boot when flashed with a custom ROM. Can anyone try to build a custom ROM for the Korean optimus one? i do not own a korean optimus one, but i can ask the dudes back in twitter for the stock ROM. If anyone requests the stock ROM, i will post it here. Thx in advance.
why dnt u try makin it urself,
Its not that hard.
Really basic unix and copy paste
I agree to ccdreadcc's suggestion. Create your own ROM based on your device's firmware.
Guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901417
Since I have no idea what DMB is, and I cant test your version of the O1 anyway, this is my suggestion

[Q] Where to begin?

Hello! I recently received a second hand Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro.
Right now I want to root it (and possible update to a higher version of android than v2.1 or a custom firmware) and have no idea whatsoever where to start from. Any suggestions?

Thanks for replying guys.
About updating the phone, version 2.1.1 is the max update that is available (officially) for this phone. Nothing higher has been introduced yet.
I've kind picked my rom, but it doesn't really have a in-depth guide as to what I should do and in which order.
(Is there a step by step guide in general or does it vary from phone to phone?)
The rooting procces is diferent for all the phonee, but the flashing is the same is there a guide:
*first root your phone
*download clockworkmod recovery
Or other custom recovery
*put the zip file in your sd card(whitout extracting)
*put in recovery and make a backup
*now wipe data and wipe chache
*and install zip from sdcard
*reboot
*enjoy
Note:.dont scare if the booting is taken is normal

You may want to change the kernel as well. For this, you need to unlock the bootloader. Sounds complicated, but isn't.
The X10 Mini Pro forum has tons of information about what to do. Head over and if in doubt, just ask!
Thanks again for replying! I will get to work on my Sunday break then. (It will not take more than one day i suppose? To complete all the steps?)
First thing have to learn how to root.
As for the ROM - I'm thinking of this one as my first.
Code:

Does this actually update it to ICS software or is it just made to look like/resemble it?
I shall check the mini pro forum for the bootloading. (yes it does sound complicated from the name!)

some doubts about lg p506

Hello everybody
One friend will get his lg p506, and i want to help him "modding" his new phone, but i have some doubts

2) The recovery is special for thi model? or just can install it from rom manager?
3) i can install p500's roms or exist specific roms to p506?
4) The last one, exist some kmz file to update the p506 to gingerbread or i can use one of p500?? I think that from that way i can get new baseband
Thanks a lot for your help

there is a really active thrive/pheonix forum in android central
1. you need new baseband. you need to flash baseband specific to thrive(i think)
2. only p506 roms. p500 and p506 are cousins but not the same.
3. DO NOT FLASH P500 ROM THROUGH KDZ TO P506 it might brick your phone.
for new baseband, once you find the right files. the method should b e the same for all devices though

I modified the latest rom by LiquidSmooth(and it's a KitKat Unofficial ROM for the i9300, no bugs), and I didn't have a computer at the time I was making it, so I modified and did it all through my phone. So what I am asking is, is there any way I can take that ROM I modified and make I flashable ROM out of it, so I can upload it and people can flash it to their own phones?:highfive:

What I mean is I was on holiday and had no computer so I decided to edit the ROM I already had on my phone.
So now I want to take that ROM and all the settings and UI changes i made on it and turn it into a flashable .zip ROM to flash on other phones.
I want to upload it. But I don't know how I am going to do this, I tried Android Kitchen and ROM factory but it doesn't help.
Is there a pc software or app to do that?

[Q] LG L9 II CWM problem ??

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my Lg L9 II, it's the the stock rom but updated on 4.4.2 (KitKat).I have some bugs on my phone and it's a bit slower.I want to the install my original rom 4.1.2, I dowloaded him from your forum but when I transfer on SD Card and open CWM with the button volume up and power key I get the block ( I take picture and she is in attachment). I don't have a root. Can anyone explain me how to fix that, that I can install my original rom with CWM or TWRP. I hope so that You can help me, and sorry if the that thread is duplicate, I'm new here and don't know how it's work. Thanx in advice.
Kind Regards
did you had CWM installed!?
if you want "original" ROM (from LG), install the 4.4.2_V20g version via KDZ install (20g is the best version in my experience).
if you want cwm or twrp to experiment custom roms.... a good start: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2730501

You need to flash the respective V10x kdz(according to your region). V20 is KitKat. V10 is JellyBean.
