Why create another thread ? You already have a thread about this issue (funnily enough, directly underneath this thread) :-/

I just answered your other thread.
Just because you don't get an answer you wanted, doesn't mean you should create another thread. Continuously asking a question isn't going to change what the right answer is.

[Q] Quick question regarding ROM and Kernel backups

Hi,
I've been searching over the forums for the past few days and i've been thinking of rooting my Samsung Galaxy S2 and i've got a few questions, yes i've been searching around for them and I still find i'm confused, if there is a logical answer somewhere else in the forums I apologize but i've not been able to find the answer.
1.
Chainfire's rooting methods seems to be the easiest methods to do so for the
Samsung Galaxy S II I9100
I'm worried that if the phone I recieve tomorow is the i9103 model it won't work. Wondering if someone can confirm this for me.
2.
Custom ROM's and custom kernels compliment each other and I can't wait to load them onto my phone when I finally recieve it.
But is there a way to backup the original ROM and Kernel that I recieve just incase there are hardware faults with my device and I need to hand it in with the warranty i'll have to load the original ROM and original Kernel somehow?
Is this possible?
3.
Will the USB jig as shown in a thread on this forum work specifically for the i9100 device or will it also run for the i91003 device.
Sorry if I sound a bit paranoid but I'm just worried about my warranty, but at the same time I wish to use the EPIC creations on this forum. Hopefully you guys can help me. Thanks

Dont know what a 19103 is .

Yes if you have a backup of the rom or have a copy from the branded rom post in dev section .
#Failing that a flash of stock Samsung rom will remove root .
3.

If you have taken the steps to backup your original firmware and know how to remove root etc then you are starting from the beginning as opposed to many who try to find those answers afterwards .
Also check out the backup your EFS thread and or Nitrality app in the market to back up the IMEI via EFS folder in dev section .

[Q] cant copy files to the phone from pc

well i dont know what happened, but i rooted my glaxy s3 via qbking77 method that he describes in these forums. however, when i try to move a picture or a video that is mine from my pc to my phone, i get a message saying---do you want to copy the file? file may be copied but you may not be able to view or play it on your device.
i dont know what happened, but oh well...i rebooted the phone, its in usb debugging and all that..
my files are good, all my personal photos so i dont know what the problem is...
appreciate any assistance and thanks in advance..

Just simply click yes, it should work or check the extension of the files. There are some picture extensions that the phones don't recognise.
qbking77 method
As their is no such method i believe on this forum .
But you could post a link to check for this root .
My big guess is that you are yet another in the wrong forum and do not have International I9300 phone .
If so firmware from here may brick your phone be warned .
Of course you may well have a I9300 but rooted with a method that is not for the phone .
So what phone have you and if its I9300 check the root method .

It Says .
How to Root the Sprint / AT&T / T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III - Latest
Not a I9300 International SGS3 and therefore not covered by this forum for the I9300 .
That then begs the question of what phone do you have .
I9300 or some other phone ???

i doubt its the i9300 and that video said nothing about it having to be a i9300.
my phone is sph-L710 if thats what you need, dont see anywhere where it says
i9300. i have always used his methods when rooting prior phones and this one,
never had an issue till now. the phone is rooted, i have the superuser
in apps, i have a custom rom and other customizations.
just cant transfer anything over....

Lets make it simple you have L710 not a phone called the I9300.
This is not the Sprint L710 forum we know nothing about such a phone you would be better off in the Sprint L710 forum .
Does that make sense you are in the wrong forum as i keep saying .

[Q] NEED HELP! 4G does not work!

Hi, My name is Linus and i have a Samsung galaxy S3 I9305N. ( Don't think the "N" is important...)
I had 4.2.2 and i installed 4.3, But i was not happy with it and wanted to use 4.2.2 again and i just ran my backup from 4.2.2 and it ****ed up and got boot loop...
And me and a friend fixed this but now my 4G, 3G och any internet at all does not work properly...
Any one know how to fix this?
Help is greatly appreciated
You have already posted this identical question in the wrong forum you are still in the wrong forum .
Please read the link given or get some one to translate for you .
There are multiple faqs and guides posted .
As you have twice posted in the I9300 forum you have probably also flashed the firmware for I9300 but you do not have this phone .

So why are you posting in the wrong forum .???
Unfortunately there are plenty that are that dumb who flash wrong firmware .
Suggest once more that you read the faqs and guides first then flash a stock rom for your phone after a full wipe .
