Galaxy Note 2 turns off automatically
This problem exists on the Galaxy Note 2 as well. The problem is hardware related. The phone is flawed and shuts off on it's own under various conditions, all hardware related. Take a look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjLn2yikYnI
I am not able to post externally due to not having enough posts yet. However, I have had the same issue on 3 Galaxy Note 2's from Verizon. I also provide more details on exactly what is going happening on the following website...
wwwDOTgalaxynote2shutsoffDOTcom
You will have to paste that link in to a new browser and replace the DOTs accordingly to get to it, but once you see the video, you will be enlightened.

sprint galaxy s II will not turn on no more

Hello to all yesterday, I tried to hook up a speaker system to the audio port on my phone to listen to music, and the screen fizzed up and turned purple. None of the buttons will work so after trying everything I just took out the battery. but since then the phone will not turn on( even after charging) when I press the power on button, the indication light (which usually turns blue while starting). just blinks purple and does nothing, not even a vibration. My question is where do I go from here, is the phone bricked? if so is it possible to get my pics, which I believe is on the phones internal memory not the sd card. any help info. is well appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Sprint Galaxy S2 is also known as the Epic 4g Touch, and has very different hardware. There is a separate forum for that device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1281

Well, you already posted on the Epic 4g Touch forum (the exact same post, too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2096935) so no need for this post to get moved.

[Q] Liquid Smooth 2.2 Official JB ROM issue!

Hi All:
This is my first post in this forum.
I have been using Liquid Smooth JB 2.1 RC2 ROM since Feb 2013 and I really love it. Recently the 2.2 Official version was released and I flashed the ROM accordingly along with GApps.
Unfortunately, when someone calls my phone, nothing happens, no caller display or change in display or not even a ring! The calling party state that they hear the ringing. When I tested it by calling my own phone, I saw that I could hear the ringing from the phone I was dialing from but on my S3, there was no response what so ever...to better explain it, the phone is like its on standby...even when I wake up the screen, I only see the main screen and nothing else..its like no one is actually calling.
When I tried making calls from my S3, the calls went through ok but I could not hang up! I have my phone programmed to end the call using the Power Button, but I still can't hang up. I tried this multiple times but nothing fixed it. I reinstalled the 2.2 version 3 times but no joy. I followed the installation procedure word to word! Out of despiration, I went back to 2.1 RC2 and the phone stated working again..but only this time, it seems to crash a lot. I assume its because of the insane chip that S3's come with.
I have searched the forums high and low but there is not a single thread discussing this issue! Please Help!
Device: S3 i9300 International
Kernel: 3.0.31-CM-gcea4b18
Baseband Version: i9300DDELK1
Here is some advise for success on Xda. Search and read as much as possible. Not only did you post this in the genreal section where as all questions go in the Questions and answers section (btw there is a sticky that states this). The galaxy S3 has its own forum. I moved the thread there to help you out.

Hi Mark, thanks a lot mate! Appreciate the help. I have been on XDA for the last 15 days trying to look for an answer with S3 and the Liquid Smooth 2.2 official but no luck so far so out of desperation, I posted on here.
Anyways, apologies and thanks for the help.
Liquidsmooth 2.5 V issues
Hi All: As I am a junior member and am not allowed to post questions or issues I am having on the developer forum and hence am forced to post here.
I just updated my phone to Liquidsmooth v2.5 and its working pretty good, decent battery life and all that. However, there is one issue that is bugging me and I will try my best to explain it as much as I can.
When I am on the phone for about 3 minutes and over and if I get a second call, the display shows nothing. I have to press the Home key in order to wake the screen up to view who the caller. is. However, if I am on a call and I get a another within first 1 min or 2, the second caller is displayed on the screen.
Its definitely an issues, which I had with Liquidsmooth v2.1 as well. The screen won't wake up when I am on the phone to show me who the second caller is. I did make sure that the camera was't covered and yet it does the same.
If someone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks.

Notifications woes

So after being a long time apple user and long time iTunes hater ... I managed to sell my iphone 4 and bought a samsung galaxy S4, did the same for my other half...
Keep in mind, this is a brand new, no-root, default phone.
The issue basically is notifications, for whatsapp ( at the moment since I haven't set up anything else that requires push, besides gmail). The issue is once I turned the screen off, either manually or by itself. whatsapp notifications randomly stop arriving until I turned on the screen, completely close the app and open it again, the same goes for 2 other devices ( 3 in total), this happens with wifi or mobile data
Device #1. new s4,
Device #2 new s4
Device #3 Samsung galaxy young running 4.1.2 JB.
Now, device #3 belongs to a friend of mine who told of these issues a couple of months ago, however I did pay attention as I just figured it was network connection or wifi or whatever be it.
I've googled the hell out of this and it is apparently an android issue:
it's not telco related in my case, because i had NO ISSUES on my iphone 4 nor my best half's 4s.
Anyway, hopefully someone here has been through something similar and been able to fix it? I've searched the forums and there's apparently a widespread issue, but not fix as of 4.2.2?
New to the forum, I originally posted this here
neowin.net/forum/topic/1163306-android-notifications-woes-with-whatsapp/[/url]
Which eventually led me to post here so.
Edit: just figured this is posted in verizon gs4... is there a forum for international unlocked 9500? would a mod be so kind to move it without deleting this?

Galaxy S4 Screen Problem

Hi Guys,
I bought a verizon s4 2 months ago and everything was running smooth
Suddenly for the past three days, my screen has progressively deteriorated until just a few random coloured pixels remained
I thought of reporting it to verizon when i found a small crack adjacent to the volume + button
I have uploaded a couple of photos but im not able to share them as im a new user:
h-t-t-p://imgur.com/Yp0TIPN,MxdoNk0
h-t-t-p://imgur.com/Yp0TIPN,MxdoNk0#1
When I accepted my fate and started blaming myself, my friend then looked it up online and found that many people were having the same problem
It seems that the reason is hardware malfunction. I even tried master reset suggested by some people online but it didnt work.
Im pretty sure that if i'd send this in to samsung they would've said this was a hardware damage and charged me money for their mistake(from what i've read this did happen to many people)
I just want to report this issue and being a huge samsung fan im greatly disappointed.
If anybody else did have this problem please post under this thread. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Duly noted. I wonder if I can get squaretrade to send me a check instead when my phone decides to take a 600 ft drop.

Galaxy S4 problem
Hey Dude,
Sarcasm Received, but the phone was perfecly running at 3 p.m. but when I went to a meeting, came back and opened the phone again, it blacked out. There was no chance for the phone to have dropped 3 ft. let alone 600 ft. The pixelated colours started showing later. I apologise for not attaching the video of the other guy having the same problem, it is in my second post. Please take a look and let me know your opinion.

[Q] System-Time stops when Screen is locked, Countdown Timer stops.

Hello to you all,
I have the following issue with my Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 (International Version):
If I lock the screen the time simply stops going. For example: I lock my screen at 13:00, unlocking it an hour later and the time on the phone is still 13:00. Same with the countdown timer, which stops everytime I lock the phone.
I tried searching for solutions in the forum but found nothing. Searching for my specific problem mostly ends up in solutions for clock-widget issues or incorrect time zone problems.
The Specs:
Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 International Version with cm11.0-Installer. I have had the same issue with ParanoidAndroid 3.99 RC2 and cm-10.2.0.
The system information screenshot (as a noob I cant post outside links, so here you go): i dot imgur dot com slash PhyzPPi dot png
Some additional information that might be useful:
I live in Germany, using a german provider. The phone was purchased from a German seller, I am sure it is no fake (tested with GSIII-identity).
Any help is highly appreciated, this bug makes my phone pretty useless. If there are any questions regarding the specs, feel free to ask.
Thank you!
- Tigortank
Addendum: I flashed the original Samsung Firmware, it did not solve the problem completely. The system time is still incorrect.
Dear all,
I contacted the retailer and sent in the S3. They generously replaced it and sent me a working one with correct time & date.
Since the phone I bought in the first place was a used one, it may have gotten this fault from a failed flash attempt by the previous owner.
Anyway, I am glad to finally got a working S3, even though I never found out the cause of this error.
This thread may be closed.
Greetings
- Tigortank
..but I do have one question: Why did no one ever reply? Did you have no suggestion/answer/solution to this particular problem, or was the quality of the question not sufficient? Please let me know.
Why did no one ever reply
One why should they reply its a developers forum not a paid for service .
Two why did you not read the faqs and guides .
Three the only answer would be to factory reset as per the faqs and guides .
