Hey guys. A colleague of mine just bought the galaxy S advance. I believe its model number is i9070. Anyways, it's fairly new and it's a mid-range phone. Anybody know of a rooting guide and/or custom roms for this phone? I've looked around xda and couldn't find anything so far.

I am helping my friend pick out a phone. He is on Boost Mobile. I have narrowed the phones down to the HTC Evo Design 4g or the ZTE Warp Sequent. I've been trying to search to see what all support there is for these devices as far as custom roms. I was hoping someone would know which phone would be better to get based on the support of these devices from the community. I have a Galaxy S2 and so easy to just come on here and look at the sub forum for it, but these phones do not have a sub forum on here. All help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Nexus? That isn't one of the two devices I listed, and as far as I am aware the Nexus phones aren't compatible with Boost.
I have the Warp Sequent. Out of box, its running 4.0.4 and runs fairly quickly. I haven't had any luck finding any custom rooms that actually work for it though. I'm pretty sure that the Evo design has some Custom Roms, but don't quote me on that.
*edit: Now running SuperRom. Sooo sweet. I've had no problems at all with this phone now that I have this rom.

I've come back to HTC from Samsung GS3 which I had a lot of experience rooting/ flashing roms.
I have the One X Plus now. My question is can international One X roms be installed on the international One X Plus?
I won't assume/guess anything until I'm 100% sure so would appreciate any help with anyone with rooting/flashing knowledge of these phones.
Also, where is the best online resource for list of custom roms with user comments?
Many thanks

Thanks - I spoke to HTC about this and they advised that One X roms could be flashed on One X Plus - Goes to show that there is much more knowledge on here than within HTC.
That makes no sence as a lot of people flashing one x ROMs on to the one x + brick there phone or they don't work
Anyway if you do have luck flashing one x ROMs let us know

Hi,
I am new to this HTC world and even you can say, new to Android world. I purchased HTC One X+ in india recently (so I believe it is an unlocked version, not like AT&T, verizon etc). Yesterday I got an update to Android version 4.2.2, which I did. But now want to move back to 4.1.
Please bare with me and help me out to downgrade the same. Please be simple in using terms, as I am very less experienced in using Android (hardly couple of months).
plz plz plz.....
Thanks in Advance !

Erm, I know you are new and all, but you just
1) Restored a 5 month old thread.
2)Went offtopic to the original thread topic
3) Did not use search
Please read through this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470721 since this topic has already been talked about quite a few times.
Ok so I have never developed anything for android (though I would love to learn) but doesn't the HTC one m7 have basically the exact same everything as this phone? Why can't we just open all m7 kernels up and change the phone name and have built kernels. I know we don't kang and I don't mean just steal peoples work but isn't this possible? Like I said I'm not a developer but I've been rooting and hacking my phones since the droid eris. Please give some insight if possible just looking for information.
Thanks, Bret
