for mdip devices i guess the average mAh is 1160, in the link above, the battery has 2430 mAh so it will last for long the more mAh, the more capacity a battery have.

Try Rage kernel. It can save more energy than other kernels. At the night (9 hours) in deep sleep mode LwW need only 6% of battery.
How i can calibrate ?

That people selling 2430mah ep500 batteries are simply liars.
"The official Dimensions (Approx.) : EP500 battery: 42.3mm x 45mm x 6.1mm2"
That means the battery has a volume of 11,6ml.
If we are talking about state of the art lithium batteries you'll get 250 to 620 Wh/l.
That means we get 2,9Wh to 7,2Wh
For a typical voltage of 3,7V that makes 780mAh to 1,940mAh.
Bear in mind the housing, contacts and protection against abusive conditions eats some of the space.
Extremely high energy density is only possible when you sacrifice power density in state of the art li-ion-technology and vice versa .
You will not get much more capacity until there are true next-gen batteries on the market.
If the battery really had 2430mAh for that price, they would sell millions and millions...
I guess the battery will have less capacity than the original (maybe it will even have less weight, thats always a hint on cheap batteries, for more capacity you need more active material unless you change technology).
most cheap batteries i have seen, had about 20% less capacity than the original.
additionally you can never be sure that cheaply made batteries will fulfill safety standards like un3480.
that means it can withstand abusive conditions, like high and low temperature, altitude, shock, vibration, etc without bursting in flames, exploding or leaking.
or was the producer too stingy with the expensive seperator and it will suffer internal shorts?
you will never know.
i have one third party ep500 battery here and it sucks. it weighs about 5g less than the original.
honestly only batteries from renowned brands are the real deal. sony and co put the best they have in high margin markets.
you can use new sony ep-500 battery with 1500 mA capacity

I was wondering why the stock battery was going far beyond 50 degress when overclocking. So I bought a battery over EBAY.
DISCLAIMER! IM NOT ADVERTISING ANYTHING. THIS IS SOLELY MY EXPERIENCE WITH A NON STOCK BATTERY!
Just had the battery for some hours. Not fully loaded. But I get only 27 degress under stability test. Not bad actually. And the phone doesnt get hot.
Try out yourself. Will do a following up with drain and capabilites these days.
Chinafake! This battery has never 2430MAh.
Never stated nor defending this product. Im just telling what the product says. I dont know own nor have a device to measure such claims.
Im just telling that for now Im glad my phone is not going over 30 degrees when heavy overclocking my ACTIVE. Until now Im having good battery times. Tried several EP500 stock batteryes and all when rancid passing the 50 degree marker.
Our phone are chinese assembly so Im not worried with a scam battery from china.
I bought once that bat for my Samsung i900
so they are same !
in stock battery was 1400 ( i dont remember ) and there 2430 gold battery , no diference the same time of working without charging.
Well allready knew it before I bought it.
And I will say this. Its as good as the stock in termes of drainages and times up on battery. With the slightly difference, it doesnt go past 30 degree no matter what you do, so here my knowlegde is null. So by not heating nor generating heat it do deliver when asked.
Good looking, nice cooled but nothing new.
friend's tip
before buying that, i asked my friend is it safe or will it work properly? he just said i bought it few months ago, now it's totally spoiled. that's why i didn't go through that kind of stuff
Considering
I'm sorry, I didn't catch it very clear. I'm considering this battery from eBay and I have a question.
- Is it last longer than Sony EP500's default battery?
- Is it going to damage my phone?
- Is it going to damage me?
- Since I won't buy the expensive default anyway, is selecting higher capacity a better choice?
- How is it now, the one that you bought?
Thank you in advance

Likely fake, because of the size.
1300mAh doesn't give much more juice, so I better don't waste money on it.

Hi I bought a 2400 mAh (EP500)
buena bateria pero se calienta
good experience is good in terms of duration but the downside of it is that hot and when it reaches 67 degrees Celsius the phone is turned off ... you have to wait to cool and turn it on because at that temperature you off again ..
regards
Ep 500 Gold 2430mAh
I just want to share my experience about this product
The battery physical appearance is very good but their very major problems in performance such as
1)This battery never got 100% charged by whatever means i.e AC charging or USB charging
2)The temperature is very high and this makes the device to misbehave
3)The battery drains faster than is original 1200mAh which is a very big question because as it calming to be twice powerful than original one i.e 2430mAh
By everything about this product I personally don't recommend this to anyone
If u anyone would help me to troubleshoot these problems it would be really appreciated,
Kindly get me at [email protected]
i had ep500 gold battery, i thought the performance similiar like original battery, 2430mAh is fake:silly:

A company, that can be trusted, is Mugen Power Batteries. They are expensive, but I have heard lots of good experiences about their batteries. However, really small selection for our phones(only one EP500 type, 1300mAh).
Can't remember other one right now...
In general, with the accumulator is a theme: like all the bugs with the current krtuo indication percent, but I put up, it may even be better. In short, or comes to a percent and is still running as if he has a 10-15 percent more, or if in the middle of the day off the phone for 20 percent assume that when you turn it can show 32 per cent, but then, when it comes to 1% off quickly. In general, I scored and happy life, and what percentage of the final I still have the opportunity to work for an hour and a half.
Sorry from my bad english..

I think you mean mAh, maybe your autocorrect has gone haywire the capacity of a battery is measured in this unit... Milliampere hours. This is the amount of energy that the battery will allow to let 1 amp of current to flow in one hour. A mAh is NOT a measurement of energy, is a measurement of the speed of the flow of energy... Therefore it's nothing to do with the "power" of the battery. So to answer your question, a 2000mAh battery is absolutely fine as long as its from a reputable manufacturer such as Ankers or Mugen; DO NOT buy any higher capacity batteries with no brand name off eBay. If you're having trouble figuring out if the battery you want is safe then just post the link here and I'll check it out for you . another option would be to get a battery from you phone manufacturer which is higher capacity, for example many HTC phones use the same size battery but some are different capacities... Yeah beats me too :silly:

This is incorrect. Using a battery of a different voltage would be damaging, but I expect all phone batteries are similar, if not the same, voltage. A battery which provides too much current may be damaging too. But a higher capacity battery is perfectly safe provided the potential difference and current are the same as usual.

Here's a quick over view of my experience with this battery. So far I've been very impressed getting over 10 hours in SOT. It makes the phone about twice as thick at the bottom 2/3 but is actually quite nice to hold still and not too heavy. The actual capacity is massive I'm sure its the 6000mah they claim which is surprising considering how cheap it is relative to the other brands.
The back cover that comes with it does feel cheap and flimsy but I purchased the honeycomb case with the battery so that is not a big issue for me. My major concern with this battery is its voltage. On the battery it is printed that the Max charge voltage for the battery is 4.2V (the standard lithium ion Max voltage) but the lg g3 takes its battery up to 4.35 volts (due to modern phones using a slightly different li on chemistry). Constantly taking the battery to 4.35 volts when it is only designed for 4.2volts will significantly shorten its cycle life. For this reason I'm using an app called Battery charge limit to only charge my phone to 92% which is equivalent to around 4.2 volts.
Overall highly recommend it and the honeycomb case if you want to give your lg g3 a new lease on life and massive battery life without breaking the bank. Time will tell how long it'll hold up. Saw reviews saying after 6 months the battery swells up but hopefully by limiting how full it charged to that can be prevented.

As long as your battery is BL-53YH it fits fine
Ah yes. That one I got aswell.
Not only acts as awesome battery, but comes with a SUPER COMFY case (feels icky going back to the usual case, this is way more handfriendly)
It should work for D855 too;
I bought one from aliexpress which was stating 7500 mah but the SOT is still the same with original battery. I tried some apps to estimate the capacity which actually was ~3000 mah.
So I dont want to waste money again. Can you share some screenshots for your SOT? BTW the shape of the battery and back cover is the same as this one

i think it has the same size but different capacity.. just like the one in op3 and op3t exactly identical battery but differ in respective capacity.. i just want to know if someone here try this.. thanks for your concern mate.
a battery cannot be the same sixe and have a differenct capacity ... at lease to my knolage. Also installing a bigger bettery might not be the bestest thing to do .... you know ... with the note 7 and all that ..... (explosions)
I think the point here is that we have a lithium-polymer battery while the one shown here is a lithium-ion battery. So it IS possible to have a higher capacity at same size as ion batteries have higher power density than polymer batteries.

No that's not gonna happen. Battery stops charging when it indicates being full, not when it indicates being charged with 3500 mAh which in fact is a rough number. But these third party batteries are risky nonetheless. It might give you better usage time but maybe they won't live longer than some months, but maybe they will. Moreover if you overcharge or misuse the battery then these non OEM batteries, not having as good quality standards as the OEM ones, might be damaged or in worst case scenarios, explode.
So it's not like it's a complete lie, it's more like a gamble.
