Hi devs We have CM10.1, so, is it possible to port Paranoid Android 3.69 from Xperia P or maybe Galaxy S Advance (maybe with a new kernel, because ram management in CM10.1 is... "bad")? I love PA and PA Features, and I'm sure i'm not the only one So, please make us happy!

WTF? Are you serious? What are you talking about?
I haven't asked for a fully working rom. Samsung sucks, bad materials, physical home button (i hate it), bad displays (i hate amoled), ugly UI (i hate that too). If i want fully working ROM, i buy a qualcomm processor based device (i'll do it when i'll have money) or a Nexus.
And... Your post is useless! I'm not talking about buggy roms we have, i just asked for PA to be ported to xu.
THINK before posting.

+1 to that! Phone breaks after a drop. Friend's S3 motherboard broke in 1 year. Physical home button is soo mainstream. Amoled is nothing. Touchwiz eats up RAM and UI is not perfect like sony home(honami) yeah and qualcomm is the best! I have a Nexus 5 for a reason but I theme it like honami becuz i like sony z1 but too expensive so i settle for n5

So here it is:
http://developer.android.com/about/versions/kitkat.html
About Bluetooth:
Android 4.4 support for two new Bluetooth profiles to let apps support a broader range of low-power and media interactions. Bluetooth HID over GATT (HOGP) gives apps a low-latency link with low-power peripheral devices such as mice, joysticks, and keyboards. Bluetooth MAP lets your apps exchange messages with a nearby device, for example an automotive terminal for handsfree use or another mobile device. As an extension to Bluetooth AVRCP 1.3, users can now set absolute volume on the system from their Bluetooth devices.
Platform support for HOGP, MAP, and AVRCP is built on the Bluedroid Bluetooth stack introduced by Google and Broadcom in Android 4.2. Support is available right away on Nexus devices and other Android-compatible devices that offer compatible Bluetooth capabilities.
About RAM managing:
Android 4.4 is designed to run fast, smooth, and responsively on a much broader range of devices than ever before — including on millions of entry-level devices around the world that have as little as 512MB RAM.
KitKat streamlines every major component to reduce memory use and introduces new APIs and tools to help you create innovative, responsive, memory-efficient applications.
OEMs building the next generation of Android devices can take advantage of targeted recommendations and options to run Android 4.4 efficiently, even on low-memory devices. Dalvik JIT code cache tuning, kernel samepage merging (KSM), swap to zRAM, and other optimizations help manage memory. New configuration options let OEMs tune out-of-memory levels for processes, set graphics cache sizes, control memory reclaim, and more.

Since 4.4 is way more faster for low-end devices than Jelly Bean, they maybe might consider an update

But do you really believe that Sony has not updated their devices because of hardware limitations? Even Xperia 2011 devices had hardware more than capable to run jb and Sony didn't upgrade them

Well no it didnt...
Only low res phones were cabable for upgrade and high end like Xperia Arc didnt so they could not just update cheap phones without expensive one.
Anyway they are Sony Ericsson phones now not from Sony so thats another reason.

I think it's time to write a message to Sony to be so kind and make at least the new drivers that fits to KitKat to help the XU, P, Go XDA devs to make a proper Rom. Fingers crossed.
Even though Galaxy Nexus is fully compatible with Android 4.4, Google is not upgrading it. Xperia P, Go, U and Sola users shouldn't pin hopes at all. Even if Sony were to upgrade older phones, they would rather focus on their flagship like S and ion instead of budget phones like U and Sola..

TI isn't active on the market anymore. That's probably the reason for not supporting Gnex. (why make new drivers and such when you don't release new products...)

That is logical, but I would like KitKat on my Sola so much. The ICS made this great phone a crippled device, so if KitKat runs on 512MB devices, then it's a great opportunity to bring the Sola back to life.

The 4.4 update has been confirmed by Morten Aagaard, manager for LG Denmark at a summit in Copenhagen!
Source (in Danish). Translation goes as follows:
"We're bringing an update plan for LG G2 for Android 4.4 KitKat by the end of the year or the start of the next year. But of course there will be an update for G2"
This is great news, guys! That French carrier "report" (which was slightly shady at best) was actually telling the truth!
How does that make you guys feel?
Did we ever doubt that it would get kitkat? We dont need confirmation to know this
And in my opinion the date doesnt matter unless its like supersoon to be excited about or superlate to be dissapointed, but this was expected.

I absolutely love what LG has done with Android. It's fast, customizable, beautiful and very, very stable. Not a single crash, and I've been using the phone a lot for six days now. However, transparency for 3rd party launchers and ability to hide the navigation bar would be cool. Otherwise I have no complaints. Best non-AOSP experience for me.
LG has impressed me so far, with the only problem being some of the performance problems (probably due to LG choosing a conservative scheduler and the aggressive throttling). This is with no doubt the best phone I've had. Samsung can go into a corner and adore their blue-screen-tech.
Nice nice, looking forward to it!
Well it's not very common for mfg's to skip an android iteration entirely. They usually roll them out incrementally. So yes, color me surprised they are jumping 4.3 and going straight to 4.4.
However, we should probably have some 4.4 lovin' before that in the form of some aosp rom.
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
actually i think we really do need an update, but it doesn't have to be 4.4 or whatever. we just need some issues to be fixed or removed in some places like low camera performance at low light in the camera, some stutterings and lags which are preventing the smoothness of the UI and etc. Unless lg get these done, i don't even care if they give android 5 or 6.
I come from TouchWiz so I don't understand what's all the gripe about. Samsung enabled notification bar toggle removal with 4.3 (not sooner) and LG's UI allows me to tweak and add and customize pretty much everything I want.
Case in point: when I plug in my headset, I can edit the apps in the bottom mini-drawer instead of using the preset.
All I'm waiting for from 4.4 are TRIM and ART.

And OpenGL ES 3.0 (from 4.3 but still new on G2)!
Contrary to popular belief, it's not all that uncommon for companies to skip updates. I had the Sony Ericsson xperia x10 which was updated straight from eclair to gingerbread, skipping froyo. It happens, and excitedly believable in this case simply because the phone was launched behind an update. I expect that lg will go through 4.3 and straight to 4.4.

Hi, please set your DPI/resolution settings to default. Currently Themer only supports stock settings. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Ok! How long time do you think it will take for it to get that just a question.

It's impossible to give an exact ETA, but maybe in a month or two. Right now we don't have the resources, as we're more focussed on eliminating the bugs and making Themer more stable. Custom DPI support is an immense task, but we will look into it in the future.

Any technical explanation to why it brakes if you change dpi or navbar?

Hi,
It all comes down to the widgets and wallpaper being made specifically for that phone type (e.g. the Xperia Z). If the user alters the DPI, we don't have the programming implemented yet (as this is incredibly difficult) to tell Themer that the DPI/screen size has changed and to adjust the widget/wallpaper size accordingly.
This will hopefully arrive in the future once we have more time and resources.

Probably won't work... the camera in the Rezound is not supported in most newer kernels, the drivers we have are old, this is been one of the main stumbling blocks in development on this device since he have to do complicated work arounds to even get the camera to work in newer ROMs, the chances that the Z2's camera apk or utilities will even work are slim to none. Sorry. You might be able to find a third party utility in the Play Store that can do this at the software level though, but this isn't my area of expertise...
I want to use the background defocus, maybe I will buy a new device. is there anything you recommend? but not z2 of course, z2 very expensive

As I stated before, the camera isn't my area of expertise... I don't have a recommendation for a phone that will do that, I take very mundane pictures. Sorry
