[Q] Flashing XXLSJ LOCKED my phone??? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I purchased my cell phone (over a year ago) on amazon.ca and it was UNLOCKED and worked with all of my SIM's. (Koodo, Bell & Petro-Canada)
Today I did an update to
Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean XXLSJ [Official Firmware]
using this link: http://www.viotutorials.com/2012/11/how-to-update-samsung-galaxy-s2-gt_21.html which apparently LOCKED i as it displays:
"SIM network unlock PIN" on startup.
The phone will not connect to any network.
What should I do?
Thanks for any help.
Rob.

GalaxSim unlock from market or same app here on xda...developer is making it free for xda members. Be sure to thank him.

I found something interesting on htcmania (unfortunately Spanish) but I'm not able to post outside links. There is Tutorial how to resolve our problem. Maybe I could send this link to someone as private message and this person share this link for everyone?

That method requires sending the phone to SONY for bootloader unlocking for any country or carrier, the only requirement is to haVe the phone Simunlocked. But it works.

I am in the same boat. There is a Sony s1 signature server which you can use remotely using ezSemc. You need to buy credits from a company (www.microunlocker.com is one). You need to ask for a full CSCA certificate unlock. Trouble is, server is offline at the mo, no one knows when it's back on.
If you search s1 signature server status using Google you'll find more info about when the server may be back online.
Just a waiting game at the mo.
Cheers,
Lunar.

Rooting Question

Hello all,
I am finally back after being on apple after 9 months and it feels great. I had a question about if there is a root avaiable for the galaxy s3. I havent rooted any devices in months and trying to get back into the groove to it again. Just wondering does anyone recommend a link that can answer all FAQ's about the phone? Thanks in advance. Also is there any recommendations on apps , ROM's , etc?

You're using a Sprint GS3, different model/hardware.
Flashing anything firmware related from this forum will probably brick your ****.
Check here for more infos before you wreck your brand new gs3.

How to go back to stock

Hi guys
I recently rooted my device so I could unlock it, but found out that it was blocked, so I took it to a phone shop, I got it unblocked and a new imei number, the phone isn't rooted anymore but still says modified
I want to go to stock, how would I do that?
I also want to know when I go back to stock, will the phone get blocked again and imei go back to the blocked one
Thx in advance

don't you read the above 2 post ???
Try the "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization" in the Samsung KIES. It will reset everything according to your serial number provided.
However, I don't know whether it is helpful to you because I didn't experience the same before.

Your phone sounds stolen. You changed the imei, which is illegal and its against xda rules.
