Hi, did you flash FXP over stock ROM? Did you try hard reset after flashing?

Yes, i flashed it using keiran's kernel (provided hadn't been booting) from a just flashed stock rom.
Hard reset is what exactly? sorry for the noob question
is it a data, cache, and dalvik wipe?
Flash the boot.img that comes with the CM9 ROM through Fastboot, and then flash CM9 through recovery. Don't forget to wipe everything BEFORE flashing the ROM (data, cache, dalvik-cache).
WiFi works fine for me on FXP150 for Xperia U

hi,
I was on CM 9 nightly http://www.cyanogenmod.org/devices/sony-ericsson-xperia-ray
and just tryed to upgrade for the newest version there !
(copy last version to sd, wipe cache - dalvik, flash, reboot)
And now, i'm stucked on freeXperia logo
cant even flash something else (assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device")...)
Have you flashed the latest kernel (should be included in the zip)?
If this doesn't work, wippe data/factory reset and flash it again.
If you get the getprop error, open MetaInf-com-google-android-updater-script and delete the first 3 lines (they start with getprop). Pack zip again and flash it :good:

well, i dont know for the kernel : i did (like for my GS2) install zip for sd card, then choose the the CM9 version. Isn't the kernel flashed same time?
i tryed wipe data/factory reset, the flash doesnt work
the MetaInf-com-google.... solution works : i can flash it again without the error.
Thanks bro!
Kernel must be flashed via flashtool or fastboot. How to do that (flashing the boot.img) is in the tutorial for installing custom roms/kernels in my signature :good:

No, xperia phone aren like sammy phone which got separate recovery and kernel partition. In fact, by default stock, xperia phone doesnt even have any recovery. The kernel must be flashed via fastboot before flashing rom. Recovery integrated into kernel ramdisk.
Hey everybody, I have a annoying issue that I want to solve. I have a Xperia U with unlocked bootloader and im trying to flash FXP203.
I did first flash the boot.img in fastboot, then I did flash the update file and gapps, then I did wipe data/ factory reset and dalvik cache but it still doesnt work and its getting stuck in a unlimited bootloop. I have the same issue with other FXP versions like FXP 202, but FXP 201 and lower works.
I really want to have this issue solved so I can run a good custom rom again, thanks.

Did you first flashed stock and then the FXP?
If not so then I would recommend a clean install...... i.e first flash stock and then go with FXP.......

Seems a weird issue
Jerplea ( fxp member) is most active in xgo cm9.1 section
If u post it there may b u get direct help from him
Also as hit n trial I would suggest u to format ur entire phone ( after backing up) both phone n internal memory and then try a clean install

Hello,
I just made my first attempt of installing the CM9 into my Xperia U, it is unlocked, installed the CWM like described in her: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020897
Done it worked, but when I tried to install the FXP203-cm-9-20130118-UNOFFICIAL-kumquat.zip, it shom]wed me an error 7 during installation,
So now I have no idea on how to proceed.
Did I forgot something ?
Please all the help is welcome.
Rgds.
Try re flash the stock. 54 fw, then flash the FXP203 boot.img (inside the zip), boot to cwm and wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache and flash the rom

Thanks for the help, but is still a bit unclear for me.
I'll Try it if necessary, but do you really think this is related with the base Stock ROM ?
Just please clarify, because I had done the wipes before installing, or maybe this is due to the cwm I used instead of the boot.img ?
Since the .54 has issues with the tethering I was holding its installation.
Rgds.

DONE!!!
The problem is related to the CWM method so stick to the FreeXperia way of installation.
By the way I also upgraded to .54 after the first attempt, Thanks.
I flashed liquidsmooth rom today but soon after flashing i noticed tht Wifi didnt work.I tried changing the rom but same problem,My WIFI doesnt working on any custom roms be it sammy or Aosp.but it works on stock 4.1.1.Everytime i try to use the Wifi on other roms it always keeps on saying wrong key.Doesnt even working on my previous roms on which it worked perfectly before flashing liquid rom. Try super wipe and flash cm10.1 or stock (my preference) ..
Coz whatever bugs you have.. They will be cleaned by stock..
Try a super wipe and install a stock rom....then try flashing the rom again. Before flashing, dont forget to wipe cache, data, dalvik cache and format the /system folder.
Hope this helps.
hi .am using xperia u,and have installed kernel phantom.while installing firebean i had a problem.1ly the boot animation is visible and not able to enter into the menu.pls give me some suggetions to over come this problem..
tnks..
did you wipe cache and dvalik and data before flashing?

Enter in to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik and reboot system, if it don't works then reflash the ROM.
If you are installing the ROM by flashing from CWM Recovery, wipe cache/dalvik before flashing.
If you are installing a custom ROM over another ROM might also cause this problem. so clear data also..

try flashing another custom kernel, and try to enter into recovery.. if you can enter clear cache, data, dalvik and try booting system.
If this doesn't works you might be doing something wrong. please re do the things which I told you in the previous post. It seems you are skipping some parts.
Flashing Stock FW for Xperia U must bring you out of this. Have you tried out finding the correct FirmWare for your device. I think the latest FW is based on jelly bean and build version is 6.2.A.x.xx....
