Help, I cant get CM9 roms higher than FXP201 to boot - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hey everybody, I have a annoying issue that I want to solve. I have a Xperia U with unlocked bootloader and im trying to flash FXP203.
I did first flash the boot.img in fastboot, then I did flash the update file and gapps, then I did wipe data/ factory reset and dalvik cache but it still doesnt work and its getting stuck in a unlimited bootloop. I have the same issue with other FXP versions like FXP 202, but FXP 201 and lower works.
I really want to have this issue solved so I can run a good custom rom again, thanks.

Did you first flashed stock and then the FXP?
If not so then I would recommend a clean install...... i.e first flash stock and then go with FXP.......

Hi devstaff
Seems a weird issue
Jerplea ( fxp member) is most active in xgo cm9.1 section
If u post it there may b u get direct help from him
Also as hit n trial I would suggest u to format ur entire phone ( after backing up) both phone n internal memory and then try a clean install

[Q] SStuck on Freexperia 137 boot logo + Dalvik Error

hi all...
first post - first problem ;O)
i am new in testing of custom mods and i tried first cm9.1, but there was no way to get fm radio. then i tried ics pureness mod before i discoverd the freexperia project. so i first installed the (recommend?)
MT15_4.1.B.0.431_BB72.ftf baseband for my xperia neo, then i flashed the boot.img from the fxp137 .zip file. In recovery i did then the installation process and wiped cache/factory reset and cache partition and then restart. Now the (hope not so) big problem(s):
The boot animation of cm9 is spinning around for 10 minutes before i gave up and removed the batterie. In recovery i also tried do wipe dalvik cache then, but i get always the error message: CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.2 E:failed to find "userdata" partition to mount at "/data". Im searching all the time the web and i know how to "google", but its driving me mad...i still dont know what to do...some fixes i found are for other xperia devieces and i dont want to break my neo completely...so anyone can help me out with a fix or some good ideas? thanks
ps. i have unlocked bootloader...
ok...got it. i flashed the original gb 2.3.4. rom MT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Global.ftf with an old flash tool version 0.6.9.1 (newer version seems not to work with this rom). It fixed my neo from this bootloop and dalvik cache error. :victory:

staying on 2.3.4 stock is no option for me because of the gps bug on it (lost signal every 5 min with disabled data connection). I'm testing JellySandwich 5.0 at the moment...seems like everything is fine. FM radio works good but i only can listen to it over headphones...
Tryin jellysandwich?! Would be nice getting a feedback/your opinion baut that. Btw if ya want to take next step try PAC

Oh its running very fast and stable..sometimes i get some error (xperia live closed) when i install apps. But i think its the right mod for daily use. FM radio over speaker is possible by half- plugin in the headphone .
The pacman mod looks good...maybe i'll give it a try these days...i hope it includes the retro style crt off animation from cm9...thats what i miss so much on other mods, and the animation you can load in the market is not really a good replacement.
have a nice weekend...cheers!

Hi, did you flash FXP over stock ROM? Did you try hard reset after flashing?

Yes, i flashed it using keiran's kernel (provided hadn't been booting) from a just flashed stock rom.
Hard reset is what exactly? sorry for the noob question
is it a data, cache, and dalvik wipe?
Flash the boot.img that comes with the CM9 ROM through Fastboot, and then flash CM9 through recovery. Don't forget to wipe everything BEFORE flashing the ROM (data, cache, dalvik-cache).
WiFi works fine for me on FXP150 for Xperia U

[Q] Problems installing CM 9.0 for Xperia U - error during install

Hello,
I just made my first attempt of installing the CM9 into my Xperia U, it is unlocked, installed the CWM like described in her: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020897
Done it worked, but when I tried to install the FXP203-cm-9-20130118-UNOFFICIAL-kumquat.zip, it shom]wed me an error 7 during installation,
So now I have no idea on how to proceed.
Did I forgot something ?
Please all the help is welcome.
Rgds.
Try re flash the stock. 54 fw, then flash the FXP203 boot.img (inside the zip), boot to cwm and wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache and flash the rom

Thanks for the help, but is still a bit unclear for me.
I'll Try it if necessary, but do you really think this is related with the base Stock ROM ?
Just please clarify, because I had done the wipes before installing, or maybe this is due to the cwm I used instead of the boot.img ?
Since the .54 has issues with the tethering I was holding its installation.
Rgds.

DONE!!!
The problem is related to the CWM method so stick to the FreeXperia way of installation.
By the way I also upgraded to .54 after the first attempt, Thanks.

hi .am using xperia u,and have installed kernel phantom.while installing firebean i had a problem.1ly the boot animation is visible and not able to enter into the menu.pls give me some suggetions to over come this problem..
tnks..
did you wipe cache and dvalik and data before flashing?
Sent from my AOSP 4.3 Xperia S via Tapatalk
Enter in to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik and reboot system, if it don't works then reflash the ROM.
If you are installing the ROM by flashing from CWM Recovery, wipe cache/dalvik before flashing.
If you are installing a custom ROM over another ROM might also cause this problem. so clear data also..

try flashing another custom kernel, and try to enter into recovery.. if you can enter clear cache, data, dalvik and try booting system.
If this doesn't works you might be doing something wrong. please re do the things which I told you in the previous post. It seems you are skipping some parts.
Flashing Stock FW for Xperia U must bring you out of this. Have you tried out finding the correct FirmWare for your device. I think the latest FW is based on jelly bean and build version is 6.2.A.x.xx....

lol another one who dont read or execute steps E-X-A-C-T-L-Y.
probably u forget to wipe /system /data /cache BEFORE installing rom???
if not check the if the rom zip is not urrupted on sd. / in rare cases u need a kernel reflash / 10 mins are enough to say if it boots or not. but it works 100%
good luck
as u said i also format system, data then cache before install this rom.
but surprised it cannot start up.
