Description
HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE Plug-In for the RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer is now available!
WARNING: YOU MUST BE S-OFF TO USE THIS TOOL AND PLUG-IN
This plug-in will allow you to use the RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer written by regaw_leinad.
With the tool and this plug-in, you can easily create a custom HTC firmware zip for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE containing a custom bootloader image. You will be able to edit the *** UNLOCKED *** (or "-- DirtyRacun --") text on the top to whatever you want it to say, change the S-OFF to S-ON, change the bootloader's minor version number, update the bootloader's date and time stamp, and either hide or customize the splash screen disclaimer. Using this tool to change S-OFF to S-ON changes only the text on the screen, it does not change your s-off status of the phone. Same goes for "locked"/"unlocked"/"Relocked" so be careful to remember the correct state of your phone.
Choosing the "Stock" option, the tool automatically sets your banner to say *** LOCKED ***, changes S-OFF to S-ON and hides the HTC Development Splash Screen Disclaimer.
This program will NOT flash the zip for you, but it will create the PJ53IMG.ZIP and save it your computer. From there, you simply copy it to your sdcard and flash the zip yourself in hboot.
The process (flashing a new bootloader) is dangerous and may possibly brick your device if done incorrectly. You have been warned

I created several versions of the plug-ins, so you can choose which hboot you'd like to customize and install.
This tool works well with phones which achieved s-off through the DirtyRacun process or are s-off and relocked through other means. If you have a development s-off phone that is truly still locked (not re-locked), let me know. This requires a different plug-in, but it has been done - one of my testers had one of these phones. If you have achieved s-off through another method, your results will vary, but the plug-in can be tweaked for your phone so please let me know if you need something different. The main difference will be that you won't be able to change the text in the magenta box.
How To Flash A firmware zip
Place the zip on the root of your external sdcard. (Copy it right onto your sdcard, not in any folder)
Reboot the phone into the bootloader by either:
Powering off your phone completely, then hold Volume-Down and Power until the phone boots into the bootloader
If you have the android sdk set up, type 'adb reboot-bootloader'
Then select the menu option "Bootloader" and press the power button.
If you rebooted the manual way (Volume-Down + Power) You should already be at this menu
It will load the zip from your sdcard and ask you to accept the flash.
Press Volume Up to flash (On most devices, but could be a different button)
Once prompted, press Power to reboot (On most devices, but could be a different button)
Once complete, be sure to remove the firmware zip from your sdcard so it doesn't load next time you enter the bootloader.

Thanks for everyone hooray! Def be trying this out thanks for bringing this to us junkmail
Worked great! :good: Thanks to junkmail9 and regaw_leinad!
I used the engineering HBOOT 1.15.1111, changed my banner to " HTC Inc 4G LTE ", and turned off the development disclaimer. All went well. Thanks for compiling the plugin.
How do we run the dll file
I am assuming we need to place the dll file into a specific folder on our computer. If so, where might that be. I have Windows 7.
Edit - Never mind, I found my answer by reading the 1st post more carefully.
Thanks

Put the plug-in dll(s) in the same folder as the RegawMOD program.
The program and plug-in only work under Windows. It will not work in Linux.

Great job bro!
I didn't want to start a thread on this and its not an issue that I'm concerned over or view as a problem nor do I know if this belongs in this thread but I wanted to share this anyways. My bootloader banner, you know the one that once said dirtyracun has completely disappeared.
Does it say locked or unlocked? Have you recently ruu'd ? That will eliminate the dirty racun hboot with the stock one
That is very strange. Do you know what happened before it vanished?
You could try to flash a new hboot made with the tool to see if it returns.
Sent from my Fireball using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
No, I still have my eng hboot. I had changed my banner using this tool but somewhere along the way.

8.Open misc.img with HeX Editor XVI32

I can't find the image within the sdcard for some reason. I see the process when it writes it but its nowhere to be found??
Edit:Nvm found it, turned out I had to be in USB mode.
Before step one like always ( disable htc sync/ in usb/develop mode)
-After step 4 switch to USB mode
-After the 1st 8# (lol) switch back to USB mode lol
some little steps you may add
Edit#2: Very nice, worked out well, though instructions can include a little more detail, but all-in-all good find Mainver 1.00.000.0 lol. Now I'm back in business again and start flashing again.
Posting this in a few threads... Great job!
Remember that sdcard is actually the internal sd, sdcard2 is for external

Dear Fellow XDA users
I am trying to go back to complete stock from an ICS Leak - here's what has been done.
1- Installed a Gingerbread ROM hoping will downgrade things back to where they were before the ICS excitement. Thanks Scott - the GB ROM flashes/ we install boot and off we go.
2- Soon after the thing boots fine - flashed "Downgrade main version zip" - which downgrades the Main Ver to take that error out.
3- Proceed to lock the boot - fastboot oem lock - via command line - the thing locked fine.
4- I get unknown error 155 Message - and go thru recover the restore process - does not matter. I arrive back to the same message.
Proceeded to run RUU ran into errors please see pics attached and advise is there a way around this or just wait for the official ICS RUU thanks for your time. I have also put up a photo of the hboot older message.
Thanks for your time.

You need to s-off your phone to downgrade firmware...

Ok so do the wire trick, s off, install what boot. Do I unlock before starting all this. Finally, if the RUU runs successfully will the device become s on automatically?

Follow the directions in the s-off thread to a t. I'd use the ICS version of the download if you're currently on an ICS rom. Once done you can run the GB RUU.exe file and it will revert everything back to stock GB and you will keep s-off regardless of what you do.

Thankyou All - I guess I'm Stock now - A few more Questions
Thankyou all - I did look up the instructions did the S OFF installed the new hboot from JuopunutBear - went locked the device - (via command line) said It was already locked - went ran an RUU - and it has now run successfully so I must be stock now.
The new Questions I have
Will this configuration catch an OTA update? Given this is S. Off.
Is there any need to go back S On?
Also is there a list of stock firmwares I can compare to see where I am on this list. The device info off the device is noted as follows
Android 2.3.4
HTC Sense 3.5
Software 1.02.605.6
Kernel - 2.6.35.13
Baseband 0.95.00.107_2r, 0.95.00.1013r
Build number 1.02.605.6 CL183296 Release Keys.
The purpose of this whole exercise is to go back bone stock, and the RUU flashed was an older version to see if it'll catch an OTA.
Meanwhile all this fun and games is going on - I have not been using this device as a daily driver - but on a different phone (In case I bricked this).
Thanks for your time and reading this far.

Description
Please read this entire post before attempting to flash this zip!
Be sure to read Post #2 as well
Flashing this zip REQUIRES your device to already be S-OFF.
This PJ75IMG.zip removes the following text from your splash screen:This build is for development purposes only.
Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission.
Failure to comply may lead to legal action. This process (flashing a new bootloader) is dangerous and may possibly brick your device if done incorrectly. You have been warned.
Warning
As per LazyPanda's warning:This zip comes with NO WARRANTY (express or implied), and NO GUARANTEE OF FITNESS for any particular task. I have made every effort I can to make this a safe process for users however the author disclaims any liability for damage to your phone or other materials or devices used during this process. The entire risk of flashing this lies with you, the user. By downloading and/or flashing this you acknowledge and accept that the author is not liable for any loss, material or otherwise howsoever caused.Usage
Place the PJ75IMG.zip on the root of your external sdcard. (Copy it right onto your sdcard, not in any folder)
Reboot the phone into the bootloader by either:
Powering off your phone completely, then hold Volume-Down and Power until the phone boots into the bootloader
If you have the android sdk set up, type 'adb reboot-bootloader'
Use my RegawMOD Rebooter
Then select the menu option "Bootloader" and press the power button.
If you rebooted the manual way (Volume-Down + Power) You should already be at this menu
It will load the PJ75IMG.zip from your sdcard and ask you to accept the flash.
Press Volume Up to flash
Once prompted, press Power to reboot
Pro-Tip #1 (thanks dsEVOlve): Remove the PJ75IMG.zip from your sdcard so it doesn't load next time you enter the bootloader.

Its pretty self explanatory. Copy the zip file to the root of your sd card (not in a folder), reboot into your bootloader and the phone pretty much takes it from there.....

We DO NOT provide support, instructions, or downloads via XDA. Please see our website: http://unlimited.io
Using how-to guides, "kits" and using other instructions on XDA to S-OFF your device is not recommended and will not be supported by Team Unlimited. If you want the best experience and results - go direct to the source. Dealing with support issues through the forums is inefficient and posts may get lost in long support threads, of which we would have too many to actively monitor. P.S.
I have some cookies for all those drunken bears soon to follow. Stay tuned
Thank you so much for this awesome development!
I am going to try this as soon as possible
EDIT:
I got stuck in the Qualcomm DLoad mode after trying the first time and had a hard time getting out.
When you are also stuck in DLOAD mode you could try the following steps:
- Remove USB Cable
- Remove SDCard
- Do the wire trick, but toch only ONCE!
- Attach the device to your pc and you should see that it is in ADB mode now.
- Also on the screen you should see Juopunut with an arrow
- Put your SDCard back in the device
- Run controlbear.exe -r
Now the device should boot properly
-> if it doesn't try the next step on this page http://unlimited.io/jbtroubleshooting.htm - search for "ROM / Data Recovery:" and procceed with step 2
-> if everything else fails just go to the IRC and ask for help, hyuh is a genius!
-> IRC here: http://unlimited.io/support.htm
To get S-OFF you will require another SDCard as it appaers your SDCard is not compatible with this method.
I had a VERY cheap 2GB card lying around and used it.
This time it did work flawlessly
As I already said: Full credit for this solution gues to Hyuh
Thanks Man!
Even me I'll try it today

WOOO!!! Add me to the list, I am now S-OFF!!!
Hmmm something went wrong..
My device wont boot anymore..
I think it is my own fault, but still would love some assisstance.
The Controlbear output was to do the wire trick,
So I did, or I tried..
It installed a Qualcomm Dload device.
After that, nothing.
It just kept resetting the connection.
Now my device won't turn on.
Connecting it gives me no in or output at all
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

however, i think maybe there's something wrong in the tool itself...check with DNarsingh
he had issues as well.
a good chance you'll be needing this, but not sure.

This is exactly what happened to me, I went on the support IRC and they told me to hold the power button for 30 seconds, and when I did, my tablet booted into fastboot and I just ran the program again, this time with success.
I think my problem was the wire I was using. I was using a twist tie, but after I got it to boot up again, I switched to a paper clip wrapped in scotch tape and it worked fine.
for me it's not helped. My Jetstream not boot anymore.
have you tried the solution given to you by the team? the one with the ubuntu?

Ok I have Done it finally!!
With ALOT of help from hyuh on the IRC channel..
When you are stuck in DLOAD mode you can try the following steps:
- Remove USB Cable
- Remove SDCard
- Do the wire trick, but toch only ONCE!
- Attach the device to your pc and you should see that it is in ADB mode now.
- Also on the screen you should see Juopunut with an arrow
- Put your SDCard back in the device
- Run controlbear.exe -r
Now the device should boot properly
To get S-OFF you will require another SDCard as it appaers your SDCard is not compatible with this method.
I had a VERY cheap 2GB card lying around and used it.
This time it did work flawlessly
As I already said: Full credit for this solution gues to Hyuh
Thanks Man!

Droid DNA Splash Screens by dubsx
Wanted to start making some splash screens again, since I haven't done so since my Incredible days. I know the DNA isn't the cool kid the Incredible was, but if you're still messing around on the DNA, this is for you.
This is going to be a work in progress, so I will add them as I make them. Yes, I try to take requests, so PM me or let me know if you have something you're looking for.
I don't squish, stretch, or otherwise ruin any of the images I use in my splash screens, so expect the highest quality possible. :good:

Thanks man, I'll have to head over there and take a look...I didn't know anybody was doing much for the DNA over in those parts.

Done. Thanks man. I actually had the toolkit give me a fastboot error when trying to flash the eng hboot. I just pulled the file from the toolkit and used fastboot to load it. Flashed the splash then went back to normal Hboot.
Good to go...
Could
You turn this into a splash screen for my DNA?
So is this thread dead or what?

Not sure if the thread is dead or not, but asking someone to use an image created using vistaprint is probably not appropriate. Not to mention the fact that resolution of the image you provided is 521x305 and would result in a VERY low quality screen if you were to try to blow it up make it fill the screen. If you have a higher quality image you would like to have made in to a splash screen, let me know and I can do it for you.

The thread is not dead, I have just been very busy. This is something I do in my spare time, not something that is a daily priority.
As already pointed out, the image you provided would not be ideal for making a splash screen for this device. The images need to be quite large as this is a 1080P display. Even with that, there is no way to make it full screen without squishing the image to where it would be almost illegible.
