Does anybody else have this problem? Seems to happen regardless if I am using my WiFi or not. I know it is not my router as I have had it replaced 2x thus far. I cannot return or replace the phone either. I am on a stock, rooted GN II. Help??

call verizon and get a replacement.
I have the same problem. I just got off the phone with them and they are sending me a replacement. Im hoping that they send a brand new phone and not some certified like-new garbage .

This worked for me http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36353120#post36353120
Follow the directions except don't reboot. Once you reboot it turns back on.

has any one else noticed the drop of signal on this phone? it works fine at home but as soon as I enter my college class room, the service can't be found, this is really annoying, I don't receive my texts till I exit the room and even then, every text I send seems to take ages to actually be delivered to the recipients phone. any one know of any fix for this?
running 2.1 official with pitch black theme. Xrecovery installed.
Did it start to happen after you installed the black theme?

no, its always happened. is this a problem all X10's have? as soon as I leave the room/college, it gains its reception again :|
I dont have that issue at all. Have you tried flashtool to try to fix the issue, or seus from sony? It could be a glitch in the phone. Have you used flashtool before? I can help you with that.

I have att x10a with 1.6 and I was constantly dropping calls worse than the iphone.. Called up ATT and they said swap the sim.. Did that and still nothing so they replaced the phone and so far no issues..
I've swapped sims, it didn't help, what would the flash tool do?
It's a hardware issue.
Not much you can do.

Its definitely a hardware issue, at least mine was.. If you’re under warranty get it replaced either via your carrier or SE
if I flash another baseband would that fix it? this phone works perfectly at home and other places, just as soon as I enter college, it loses reception. would another baseband be worth my time trying out?

No.. i have a similar issue.
and there is nothing you can do.
I wrote a petition to my service provider about this.
And the fixed a problem with the tower. "only cuz i know they take budget cuts"
The gsm modem is full of ****.
I don't know if it's a software or hardware issue.
But so far there is no fix for it.
As I posted above I had this very same issue.. ATT says couple of their towers are still down in my area and could be an issue.. It isn't.. The replacement phone I got last Friday has been very good… So clearly it was an equipment problem.. Are you still within the 1 year warranty? If you’re get it replaced ..

I have been searching for 3 days trying to find the problem. I have an AT&T Galaxy s 2 that I rooted using the Zedomax root through ODIN. I unlocked it to use for my T-mobile service. Everything was working fine for months. Then one day I woke up to use my phone and there was a circle with a cross through it. I am not able to call out or even get a data connection. So I tried flashing back to stock no root and same thing. I put a AT&T sim in and it was the same thing. Flashed back to root several times and I still get the same thing. I checked to see if my radio was on and it was fine. Did Either Service just block the phone? I don't get it. When I leave my house I get bars but no connection on both data or service. Yet I get all kind of texts . So why wont it let me call out or even use my browser if i go down the street and it says it has service and is getting texts? I swapped phones and works perfect so I know it can't be my SIM.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
Don't. Use. Zedomax.

DId u try calling T-mobile? or AT&T about the issue?
Well I'm on a "no contract plan" and buy my phones cash. So no warranty. So Zedomax is bad?
Maybe flash a radio to it. I've noticed that I lose service with some roms occasionally. But when I do, I just flash a radio and it seems to fix it.
Sounds like a bad APN setting to me.

Very bad. Its well known to cause many problems on peoples phones. They usually come here after messing up their phone from his website which is no bueno and annoying. Stick with xda from now on, it won't steer u wrong

Call your service provider and verify your APN settings are correct.
From my own limited knowledge. A circle with line means no signal. Bars without a connection type icon means a signal but no service.
As far as useing the zedomax rooting method, as per the OP if it was running fine for monrhs, that clearly isn't the issue.

I'll try flashing a radio and see if that works. .
i have checked all my APN settings and everything seems ok to me. I have hard reset multiple times. My data packet shows on. I also checked my settings to see if my radio is on and it says yes. My Iemi number shows. I'm so confused what could be wrong. It won't work with both ATT or T-mobile. Should work no matter what considering this is an ATT phone.
Hello Fam,
Ive read that there are issues switching between the LTE network and back to one that can handle calls. I have no problems texting or using data however every time I go to make a call it fails 99% of the time the first time I try. Also people can't call me while im using LTE..anyone else experience this or should I return the phone?
No phone should have that problem. Return it and get a replacement.

Yep, went into ATT and the girl at the counter was experiencing the same thing with her note II...they replaced the SIM card and everything has been fine since, no phone replacement necessary.
Thanks!
Hi, i'm using this phone and everything works fine, but when i turn on 3g, phone restarts every 10-15min. It's unlocked from foreign network. Did anyone have the same problem?
That doesn't sound right, have you flashed any firmware recently?

no i didn't. Actually i don't know to do that, i bought this phone recently, i only did a hard reset, but the same problem appear. I also didn't update to 7.8
Just send it back, if you're in the UK like me they arrange a courier to pick the phone up and repair/replace it. Very quick turn-around too, I had mine back in a few days! Go to http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/troubleshooting/ and then click on Diagnostics/Support/Repair and fill out the forms.
Hello!
I have a T-mobile Optimus L9 P769BK. I was on software revision G and I rooted it. Regardless, the problem started before I rooted it. My cell signal cuts out completely, the only way I can get it to come back is by rebooting the phone. Does anyone know where (and if) the android OS stores error logs? Also, is anyone else experiencing it?
I hope it's the SIM card and not the phone... We'll see.

That's not my problem. Intermittently, I get no bars, and an 'x' in the corner.
Still struggling
Logcat is great, but nothing is coming up as to why my cell reception cuts out.
It sounds like a bad sim. T-Mobile stores will give you a free one if you tell then that Tech Support told you to get one from the nearest store. Which is exactly what Tech Support will tell you. This way you save time not making the un-necessary call.

Something similar, had it in airplane mode, switched it off while at the gate and made 2 calls successfully. Notice in customs that I don't have a signal and figure maybe because they have jammers there for some reason. Get to airport doors and still no signal, had to call my hotel shuttle on my other phone. I rebooted the phone while on the shuttle and got proper signal again.

It's not the SIM card. I got a replacement from T-Mobile, still having the problem. Tried the replacement in an old phone and I don't see the problem.
I just got the phone back from LG. Let said it was a "Language Error" and they "Installed new software". I'm still seeing the problem.

This sucks that you are still having the same issue after 4 months. Try flashing one of the Jelly Bean KDZ files for the P769:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107971
If that does not work I am not sure what else to try. It could be a network issue or the phone still has a hardware problem which would require LG to fix.
