Hi , i have a problem with my Xperia U (ICS 6.1.1.B.1.10 ), when i try to flash it with the firmware Telcel ST25a 2.3.7 that another user has uploaded it , the phone shows the green led that means that is ready to flash, but after a few seconds (1 or 2) the phones starts as it normally does, stopping the flashing process, i have the drivers, usb debbuging, and all that needs flashtool, i have the latest version!
Help please!
Be sure u had divers installed ( xperiau drivers+flashmode) they r in the drivers folder under flashtool...
If drivers r installed then click on firmware u wanna flash then after a while it shows to connect ur phone then turn off ur phone connect ur phn in flashmode it will start flashing and if not then retry...
There isn't any problem..
Either wid drivers or if drivers installed its wid timing..
Dont connect phn in flashmode at the starting first click on firmware only connect when it says to connect..
If ull connwct early it will disconnect...
Thanx me if i helped...

Hey Guys
It seems that stupidity causes a lot of problems and that's what caused this one, so apologies in advance.
I recently got a Xperia S and flashed stable Cyanogen Mod 9.1
However due to a few small issues I was having I stupidly booted into CWM Recovery.
From here, not only did I wipe data and cache, but for some unknown reason I formatted the system partition.
Since this, I have been stuck at the Free Xperia Project logo.
I am able to boot into recovery, however when I try to flash the CM9 zip I get a Status 7 error..
I am also able boot into both fastboot and flashmode.
However when I try to use flashtool to flash a stock firmware I receive an error...
Start Flashing
Processing Loader
Checking Header
Ending Flash Session
ERROR
Error Flashing. Aborted
Click to collapse
Furthermore, Flashtool does not recognise my device on either of my two PCs, even though I have installed all drivers from the flashtool foler, SUS, SPC and PdaNet. This requires me to select which device I just plugged into the PC manually in flashtool.
Sorry to be a massive pain (noob)
Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys
Use flashtool properly
Let flashtool prepare ftf press thunder icon etc etc....
When it asks u to connect ur phone
Then connect ur xs to usb wid volume down button pressed

Dun connect ur phone to flashtool till it says so
I think u r trying to start phone in flashmode by holding the vol down key and power button
That's wrong
All u have to do is go tp flashtool
Click on thunder icon
select ftf
Flash
Flashtool will now ask u to connect ur phone
So
Simply connect ur Xperia s to usb with volume down button pressed
Flashtool will recognize it and start flashing in a second or two
Now leave the volume down button
And let flashing b complete

I am using flashtool as you described.
The issue is that the firmware does not flash as seen by the error message I quoted.
Thanks for the help anyway, but im pretty sure im using the program correctly..
I once got the same error when I tried to flash my phone
At that time I tried to enter flashmode first then connect it to pc
Bt the fact is u need to need to connect ur switched off xperia s only by keeping the volume down button pressed
I think I cant convey properly what I mean

Hì Guys,
I'm a new member.
Yesterday, i've deleted all folders and files into "SD Card" folder, that, for ICS, it is the System folder (so don't the external SD).
Now, my PC can't read my device, the Camera isn't running, some settings are Force Closing, i can't install custom ROMs and i can't root my device.
How can i solve my problem ? Thanx u

Thank you for your answer drsanket_xperia_u, but PcC doesn't view my device.
In fact, Windows can install ADB's drivers, but can't install MTP's drivers. And i can't flash any ftf because flashtools doesn't view my phone...

And Maazdraco, yes thats the way to flash FTF with Flashtool If your phone isnt detected, you gotta install the Flashmode drivers and your Device's drivers from drivers folder whereever you installed Flashtool
Hope it helps
Cheers

There's a small mixup The person who deleted his system Files is Fedex99.maazdraco just wants to flash a stock FTF
Maazdraco, go to the directory where you installed Flashtool. There's a folder called Drivers there. Run the file inside and select Flashtool,Fastboot and also the device drivers for your phone Then try again
Cheers

No. No and No again Internet not required. Connect phone only when prompted. Mode required is Flashmode and I've shown below how to get to Flash Mode ( you need your phone turned off btw)
Ill quickly summarize
1) Start Flashtool
2) Click the Lightning icon then select your FTF
3) Exclude baseband if your device is STxxi and the firmware is for STxxa or viceversa
4) Press ok and start Flash. Then, after a minute or so, Flashtool will ask you to connect the device.
5) Turn off the phone. Connect the usb cable to the PC (not connected to Phone yet)
6) Holding down the "Volume Down" key, you connect the cable to your phone.
7) Give it a few seconds and a Green Light shows up. Then, flashing starts on Flashtool
8) Once flashtool starts flashing, you can stop holding down the Volume Key
9) Wait for the process to finish then unplugh the phone and turn it on
This should be clear enough. If you still have doubts, just reply here
Oh i see! Lol

Hey guys, before i start i like to say that i searched the forum at least 2 hour and other sites as well. My problem is;
my phone (Xperia Neo V) got stuck in bootloop when i was refreshing the mails in gmail app and it asked me to refresh automatically and i said yes after i said res it got stuck.
I tried to enter the recovery with volume buttons and home key and tapping the screen it didn't work. My phone was rooted and i was using a custom 4.0.4 rom (Unfortunately i didnt remember the name of the rom since i was using it over a year with no problem).
I also tried flashtool and sus from sony website both of them didn't recognise my phone when i plugged in the computer. Even my computer doesn't recognize my phone at all.
So here i am helpless, seeking for a help?
Is fastboot or flashmode working? If fastboot working, flash any other custom ics kernel like suave and flash the rom again.. It has custom recovery.. If flashmode working, flash stock ftf using flashtool.. You will lose root but your phone will boot up for sure..
Regards,
vishal_android freak
1)Just download the .ftf file
2)Install drivers from flashtool>drivers folder, during installation don't forget to tick flashboot option
3)move the .ftf file to firmware folder of flashtool
4)start flashtool and turn on mobile and connect with USB
5)click on bolt sign and go flash boot, disconnect mobile and connect in flshboot mode(holding back button put in USB)
6)it will flash it self, done... If I helped u please give me thanks

you left with only one option mate... to flash stock ROM with flashtool...
why your phone not connecting in flashmode ??? have you installed device drivers correctly ?? and also which OS you are using ?? because we cant connect in flashmode/fastboot in win8.1..
reinstall drivers properly...did you try in another computer..?
otherwise try flashing stock rom.
I think this is a driver related issue..try booting into fastboot via cwm.
