[Q] How to increase speakers sound - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Running CM10.1 on Tab 10.1 3G the sound through the external speakers is really low. I know that for the headsets I could use Vodoo, but how could I increase the sound in the external speakers?
Thank you

DSP Manager from the Cyanogen Mod Team.

Turn the volume all the way down, until the tablet vibrates. You should now be able to turn the volume all the way up having "recalibrated" it.
That worked for me! I'm running CM 10.1 nightlies, p7510

I did try with DSP under 'speaker' Tab. However, using Bass Boot and Equalizer does not change enough the power of the sound. Still too low.

Thank you, though Volumen+ is not compatible with Jelly Beam, so I can not use it.

Audioboost sgs2 from market. Works well on external speaker. Just don't boost it too much.

[Q] Volume hack

I am using my rooted XS with Marshall Minors and found the volume to be low unless I increase via EQ which then distorts the sound. Is there any hack to increase the volume like Alsamixer? or any app that will unleash the power of audio volume?
Thanks
you tried xLoud on settings? this phone is really loud for me..

I did, the main issue is I use audiobook player which is quiter and with max volume is still not great. I need to use this for my studies. The xloud has no effect on this. Previously with Galaxy Nexus I used alsamixer which was great in unlocking the volume but it doesn't work on XS.
i dont know but i used to use the audioboost it was work before with x10 but i find xperia s to work really loud i have half way income-call volume and it work perfectly fine for me !!!
seems to me that i got my ears too sensitive !
It may not be ideal but you could just batch reincode your audiobooks at 150% Volume(Gain).

Thanks mate. They are actually mp3 files do you recommend easy to use free app?
I tried few but they do not do straightforward volume gain.

Audacity will do it. You need to get LAME separate for MP3s(Legal thing). To do a single file open the mp3, slide the -...+ slider on the left of the track to the right, then export the MP3 to a new file. Done.
Not sure about batch processing with it, I've only ever done such things with images, but google is your friend on that one.

Volume Hacks

Are there any volume hacks for the GNote? I searched, but I can only find them for S3. I want louder in call and speaker, but hell i'll settle for louder everything.
Look for volume+ on Google Play. It helps a little.
+1 volume + works great when rooted
Darn it doesn't seem to work with ICS. I'll keep on looking. Thanks guys!
which version of volume + did you have?
I have the full version. I wonder if it has something to do with me having Awesome Beats installed as well.
most likely yes...I only use one volume app..I deleted dsp music and the other music app that most cm 10 roms have..and only install volume+ it works for me and I'm on 4.1.2
Freeze the other music equalizers in titanium backup or whatever you have and go back in volume+ and set the volume to like 4...and reboot...it should work...mine phone is extremly loud..Anything after the setting 4 for loud speaker it gets distorted tthough...hope thid helps
There are many ways of fixing the speaker volume ( Volume+ , Beats , AC!D Audio Engine.... none of those helps with the in call volume... only speakers volume...etc )
But the REAL question is..... Has anyone ever found a solution for "IN CALL VOLUME" ??
Mine ( in call volume ) is acceptable.... but I would really like it to be a tad louder

Thanks... I think ill look into this as well... I am also unhappy with In-Call volume... even with minimal noise you cant hear $#^% sometimes...
Try turning on "hearing aid" in the settings. Volume+ paid FC's on my rooted stock 4.0.4 so I don't even use it.

[Q] Awfully Low Volume

Has anyone else experienced issues with low volume on their Tab? I mean I have a pair of self powered speakers plugged in and the volume on them is turned up all the way. Nothing. The sound doesn't even decrease until I get about 4 clicks away from no volume.
I'm running CM on it with an ICS modem. It's a P7500.
Any suggestions?

Check out Voodoo Sound, its in the Play Store. It will allow you to increase the volume for the 3.5 jack.

[Q] [Help] Louder volume through Bluetooth Headphone.

I've Searched much about it before thinking open a thread, but I got nothing wich could help me.
Is there a way to boost music volume when using BT Headphones ? I'm on android 4.3 ProBam v4.4.2. tried few kernel ( like boeffla to adjust the sound volume but it doesn't seems to affect BT Sound)
Tried also alot of others version and roms 4.2.2 and 4.1.2 still no good.
the mod wich actually boost a little the volume was Viper4Android. but I got just a "little up" from the level I was.
My question is... is there anything I could do to boost the volume up using BT Headphones ?

There is little you can do about bluetooth volume. Unlike Speaker, Wired headphones etc, these are not limited to the kernel. It is limited by the bluetooth module and it is controlled independently. Whetever you have now, is what you're stuck with pretty much.
in DSP manager on AOSP roms, it's possible with a few tweaks to the EQ, you may be able to simulate a louder volume. People advised me to try things with modified DSP managers. Such as MegaBeats. It increased bass, but didnt give more volume.
Yeah, i was kinda exprectin that.
but yet, thank you guys for your help
