you have qualcomm bootloader when you get "format disk window". If, DO NOT FORMAT! This will brick your phone.
Dload is locked.

It doesn't have to show up the "format disk window" message, it simply says installing drivers click on it if its qualcomm, you're lucky, if its dload well then, you'll have to wait like me.

i did a restore of my lumia 710 with zune and now the phone doesn't power on. no button combination works, no vibration, nothing! however when i plug in the usb cable windows recognizes the device as Nokia USB Connectivity. i had the Qualcom bootloader but put back on nokia dload sometime earlier. NSS detects my phone but shows it in OSBL mode and no matter which mode i try to switch the phone to in NSS, nothing happens! heeeeeelp
I'm not an expert, but i'm just trying to help..
You can try checking on Linux if your device have 9 partitions, if yes, you can flash it with with the archive you created when you full-unlocked your phone, if u don't have it, you can ask for it to someone.
checked that already. those partitions are only accessible if qualcomm mode is present and i have dload. so what you suggested wont work. thanks though!
Have you tried with NSS? Check it at this link
look at my first post and the last line. haha i already tried that and it doesnt switch modes no matter what

You have to start your phone with the OSBL mode. In order to do so, power off your phone, press volume up and connect the USB cable(while pressing volume up).

I did the power+vol up, wait for vibration and then release power but keep holding vol up, is this wrong?
Hello,
I have a Lumia 800 branded TIM Italy, black.
Yesterday I tried to find the bootloader type, Nokia DLOAD or Qualcomm.
I used Vol Up + Power, I connected the USB cable, I saw on the W7 Devices and Printers that is a Nokia DLOAD. This information disappeared in few seconds. After Lumia was completely dead.
I tried all buttons combinations and USB cable connected/disconnected. No sign of life, sound, etc...
What I can do to start him?
Thanks!
Thank you, but still nothing.
Another thing: If I connect to PC, is no sign from PC side that something was connected.
Solved!!!
The unique combination: camera button down + several connections of powered USB.
All other combinations failed.
Did You click "format" when window "This device need to be formated" shows? If Yes your phone is bricked - give it to Nokia Care.
No, just plug to PC, nothing else.

This is because emptying the battery you must remain connected to the PC and try from time to time on appuier volume down + camera button + power button getting started one reinitialization of the factory default
Warning: the method of the buttons will cause the loss of all data
hello!
i've got problem with my lumia 920.
While it was updating to amber my PC freezed and after that, phone seems to be dead. Screen won't turn on, in my computer it is shown as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. I've tried to recover it via nokia care suite, but it failed on step "Hold the Volume Down and the Power button, click RETRY on the Product Support Tools Window". There is no vibration and suite doesn't see it.
It seems to be wiped out bootloader or something similiar.
I've got QPST and try to recover bootloader, but I don't have necessary files.
Can you help me with it?

Alright, with this one second, have the "fastboot reboot-bootlaoder" command ready and then, when it sees it, immediately hit enter. Report results.

Dam, i cant add picture.
When i try use this command after installing adb i see in cmd waiting on any device and when i connect phone nothig happend, still waiting.
I will try on another computer. I have computer with windows 10, in cmd i have waiting for device after write "fasttboot reboot-bootloader" command but phone is seen like communication port (com 1). Anyway i have instaled drivers for this phone (for normally working, and they are not drivers for this phone on windows 10)
Before i have pick in SPflash tool:
Format--->auto format flash---->format whole flash
so i think bootloader is formated and he need recover or reinstal
On computer with windows 7 is this same but in device menager he see phone named "MTK USB Port" in cmd after use reboot bootloader command cmd all time waiting for device.
I have installed MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port but device dont use this drivers, when i connect the device use MTK USB Port or is added like new port.
Yup, but i dont want firmware update but i need firmware repair cause i get phone with bugged firmware and factory default settings not help.
