I used the search function but I could not find any thread that fully answers my question. I have a rooted Nexus 7 with a pro key to Titanium Backup. After backing up my Nexus 7 first on my device, then to Dropbox, I was wondering if I can delete the backup on my device. If I do, can I send newer backups directly to my Dropbox folder or do I have to keep a local backup on my Nexus 7 at all time? Thanks for any help.

Hi guys
Could anyone advise what is the best option for app backup? Basically its for backing up an app before i upgrade it from the play store. If i have a backup i can just revert in case the upgrade isn't suitable. In the past i used ROM manager and this would backup the whole device. Would titanium backup do for this? I also note there is Chainfires CWM but can you do individual backup and restores with this?
Thks
Titanium backup save app+data.
I use it for two years now and can't live without
In the free version you can only create one backup per app, but with the paid version you can do as many as you need.
At least, that's the basics. It do a lot more.
Hope it'll serves you
Many thanks ill give that a try

Well, you won't be able to restore a back up from your N4 onto your N5 and get a working device.
There are a lot of choices to back up and restore your apps. Titanium Backup is probably the most popular back up tool, and once you have backed up all your Apps on your N4 you just move the back up folder onto your N5. Install Titanium Backup on you N5 and then restore the saved back ups.
It is also possible to make a flashable zip of all your apps and then restore them from recovery. Just search in Android Apps and Games for "Back up" and you should be able to find it.
any changed need to be made or could i back it up like you do when transferring to other phones?
anyone know? can i backup the google accounts on the device too?

Hi,
I want to switch from a LG Nexus 5 to a Nexus 6. Before switching I will do a full backup with Nandroid Backup. I am considering to buy the Pro version. I want to know if I can transfer the license from the Nexus 5 to the nexus 6 ?
In other words if I am buying the pro version and making a full backup on my Nexus 5. Will I be able to restore it on the Nexus 6 or do I need to buy another license for the Nexus 6 ??
Thanks
You can't make a Nandroid on one phone and restore it on another. It would softbrick the new one. For backing up apps & data, use Titanium Backup. For texts, use SMS Backup & Restore.
But yeah, the lisence will transfer.

Thanks, I am aware that a full backup would brick the phone. Thanks for the tips.
I will follow them.

Am I missing something?
I purchased Titanium Backup Pro to aid me when installing roms. And I actually lost a lot of app data (ironically) because Titanium Backup Pro is not listing all of my apps. I created a backup of every app ("well people say it's a great app and it can restore everything at once later so I shouldn't worry about it") and restored on a newer fresh version of a rom, with a newer kernel too. Lucky I had old backups using Helium.
It looks like ANY app installed on SD is not listed. Simply as that.
If I move an app back to system it appears again, and if I create a backup of it and move it back to SD Titanium Backup remembers its existence.
Helium is able to list them all.
I contacted Titanium Track 6 weeks ago and never got an answer.
I own a Zenfone 5 and I'm using a CM 13.1 custom rom. Root and USB debugging are both enabled.
Anyone got insights?
