htcdev mail problem - HTC One X+

I wanted to unlock my htc onex+ i gave htcdev my unlock token and when i click on submit on the next page it says mail with my unlock.bin is send but when i log into my mail adress i don't see any mails from htcdev can anyone help me.

Same here. Perhaps their servers are overworked. Been waiting nearly and hour for mine. Not waiting for it any longer, I have work early in the morning.

Nine hours later, still nothing. Check my spam folders, nothing! Oh well.

This morning (8am CET) I submitted again a token and then 2 mins later I got the mail.

Such a small thing to get upset over i know, but i really wanna customise my phone!!! lol

Don't wait, submit a new token. Yesterday I also submitted 3-4 tokens and received 0 mail for them until yet, but the submission this morning was successful.

I get error 122 it says email can not be sent

I tried today again 3-4 times but still no email and the site is really slow

Trying to submit another token, I am told I have been sent an email with an attachment bla bla bla, but as usual there is no email. I am using the same email address I have registered at HTCdev. Checked my spam, nothing.
Frustrating to say the least. Will I ever get my phone unlocked, grrrrr!
Ps. 45 mins later, several different token submissions and still not a single email from them. Two days I've been trying to unlock my bootloader.
Pps. Anyone using gmail?
Ppps. I guess gmail can't be blamed, tried both yahoo and my isp mail but nothing. Look like htcdev as per usual are having problems. Useless!

[Q] Unrooted, OTA deferred

Purchased phone about 2 weeks ago and have been unable to register @ HTCDev since the 10th. Received notice of update and have deferred it until the 19th, which is as far as it would allow me to push it back. I have successfully prep'd bootloader for unlocking and have token ID, but am unable to continue process of unlocking and rooting phone until HTCDev site decides to send confirmation e-mails again. HTC DM services are disabled, and search returns solutions requiring root, which I do not yet have. What options do I have to block the update before I have the opportunity to root the phone, short of keeping the phone off?

What worked for me is I have 3 different emails and on the 3rd try of registering on the site it finally went through. You could try this if you want to.

Exhausted 7 email addresses so far across 3 devices and 3 networks, went the route of contacting HTC through contact form and twitter without a reply, and am now just hoping to maintain 1.15.605.4 while HTC gets their site fixed. The last round of complaints regarding registration I've found on the forum seem to be shortly before I purchased the phone, and at the time the dev site was acknowledged by HTC as being down for maintenance and prior to the looming update. I'm not finding any information of their servers being down the past few days.

Google drive through HTC chat

Just wanted to warn everyone who unlocked their bootloader and have yet to claim their Google drive storage. Story time.
Tonight I attempted to redeem my 50GB of Google drive storage. First tried on the device via taking the tour several times, uninstalling updates, clearing data, force stopping and uninstalling and reinstalling the app all to no avail. So I was advised to go to HTC chat and request it. They ask for your name, email address, phone number, imei/serial number and reason for the chat. After entering all that info I was connected with a rep. I explained that I'd just purchased the device and would like to redeem my drive storage. A couple moments goes by and the rep asks if I unlocked my bootloader. I said yes which was a big mistake! Unbeknownst to me, the storage isn't offered to devices that are unlocked whether they gpe, dev or any other type of device. So I hopped back on thinking ok, I'll just get a different person.. i got a different rep. All should be good now. Nope. The first question asked was is your bootloader unlocked to which I replied yes because it was evident at that time that a notation was already made. Sorry, unlocked devices aren't eligible for the drive storage. At this point I asked why since I purchased the device. What difference does it make whether I unlocked or threw it down a flight of stairs. It's my phone. He didn't know why but NOPE! SOOO... I tried a 3rd time. Got a different person yet again but this time I used a different name, email address and entered serial number instead of imei. I'm sorry sir, but this device seems to registered to a different person and its noted that the bootloader is unlocked. So I stated which I should have originally stated which was I requested a token but after reading the about the voided warranty I opted to not unlock. Nope!
tl;dr If you request Google drive storage through the HTC website, you did NOT unlock your bootloader but you received the token to do so and opted not to. I'm not do sure this excuse would work seeing that the token was requested but it's better than saying, " yep, sure did unlock!"
Three lessons to be learned. HTC makes notes on your chat sessions, serial number and imei are linked in their system and lastly, you need to lie lie lie, lol
EDIT: Just tried for a 4th time and finally got it!! Keep pushing if you get denied

I spent 2 weeks waiting for my unlock code, by sending 1 request/day to mobile [at] huawei.com and had no luck. Then when I resent one yesteday but I sent a 16 digit code for the SN I received an automed response within 3 minutes. With the timezone change between USA and China, no doubt it's automated.
Just wanted to make sure no one is waiting on a bootloader code, if their formatting isn't 100%.

I tried again (14:00 CDT)...on the subject line, I put the s/n, plus bootloader unlock request
In the text, the IMEI and serial.
We'll see, since it's still early in the AM in China.

You were just lucky. There is no chance unlock codes are sent over email automated. Do you really think Huawei employ ocr readers to scan through emails for bootloader unlock requests then these ocr readers magically conjure up your unlock code without any mistakes?
As for the time difference, I'm pretty sure a company the size of Huawei can manage to employ a night shift in their own country of operations.
The only way to get an unlock code automatically is to use one of the unlocker tools that keep floating about and have total luck that the unlock server is in operation when you attempt it.
Getting unlock code via email from Huawei is total luck of the draw. Mine took 1 hour, other people's took a month. Some people have been unlucky and never received one.

No, it's email so everything is already in text form, no need for OCR.
You could do it yourself using outlooks email filter and a batch script for the rest. It's definitely automated.

1: under your own admission, it took you 2 weeks to work out you weren't even sending Huawei a real serial number.
2: On discovering this mistake, you send the correct serial number and suddenly Huawei's magic automated unlock email system kicks in and grants you an unlock code instantly.
Has to be automated because a company that employs over 140,000 people can't possibly employ people to work a night shift to be able to manually send you an unlock code.
3: The hundreds of people who have been visiting this forum for the last 12 months and trying to get their unlock code via email from Huawei must ALL have been formatting their emails incorrectly. If I remember correctly, 1 other person got their unlock code sent to them within 5 minutes.

I had to send a reminder when no reply after two weeks. No reformatting! Simple forwarded the same email with another line asking for update.. I got it in next few hours. So definitely no automated replies.
Can confirm the process is NOT automated. A real person needs to manually submit the code. Emails sent outside of China's business hours are sometimes not received.

wtf? I sent mine everyday for 2 weeks right as soon as I come home from work, around 4:40. I'm certain because I the phone sat on my desk unused for 2 weeks, and because of the bootloader system wipe, there was no point using it.
Earlier I tried the Root guide on this subforum, which had a chinese tool which supposedly could unlock the bootloader when you provided the info. I then realized I needed a 16 digits S/N instead of the 10 digits one I grabbed from the system about. I then realized maybe, this is why my emails were ignored.
I then decided to send the email but I sent the 16 digits S/N instead of the 10 digit. Something like"000222" at the end. 5 minutes got the code, just like that.
Quite the coincidence, to not get any replies for 2 weeks and then a reply instantly.
1) What kind of email system do they have were there is no queue, and they respond to the newest email? their queue size is 5 minutes in length, and they sold millions of this phone. Granted most never unlocked the bootloader.
2) Is it cheaper to write an automated script to answer an email address and parse for 16 digit S/N and a 15 digit IMEI, which can be checked for validness, and the bootloader code derived from these two and resent all as a script?
Or hire a chinese workers at a computer and reply to bootloader requests?
3) I worked for a company which gave you unlock codes for our software. I can tell you the email address that we provided them next to the order button, was a bot that parse the email for the right values and if it succeeded, an unlock code was sent to the sender.
It's not a coincidence that they didn't send an unlock code for 2 weeks for a request that was impossible to actually provide an unlock code for.
When you finally DID work out what you were doing wrong and sent the correct code, you got a reply. Fortunately for you it happens from time to time that the reply is very quick, but from all of our VAST experience of dealing with Huawei in the last twelve months it's pure luck.
Are you genuinely trying to tell ALL of the hundreds if not thousands of members of this forum, that they ALL sent the incorrect wording for an unlock code in an email, yet you magically managed it?

If it's automated, everybody would get a reply within 5 minutes.
Not one day, 3 days, 2 weeks, one month or indeed never.
Apparently only you do with your incredible email formatting 5k111z.

I'm pretty sure most people who have been through the hassle of getting the unlock code from Huawei on this forum know who to believe.
I like to believe there is a bloke or two who will occasionally stop what they're doing and check the emails. And that if the info they receive is incorrect and a code doesn't pop up they will just move on.
Well I will say I got my mate 2 delivered at 1:00pm sent my first email to Huawei at 3:20pm and sent another email at 6:14pm and they sent my unlock code at 8:50pm.. eastern time.
Hassle getting an unlock code from Huawei
I used their online form and submitted my IMEI, SN (16 digit), product number, and model, and it would not work. I used their email form, as requested. Here is their response:

I created a new ID and can log in. Am I supposed to log in every day for 14 consecutive days? WTF? I just want my phone bootloader to be unlocked so I can load the Goolge Play Store. Can anyone help?
it's definitely not automated.
i've sent the same email with the 16 digits for a month and finally got a response one of the days using the exact same copy and paste
I've also compared that to my friend's email for unlock code and they were both different format and even had a name.....
Unless you've seen every email for the bootloader unlock code I don't think you should come to conclusions
I can confirm that the email is not automated even with the right formatting but the response time is really good under 10 hours.

Can't get bootloader unlock from HTC

Anyone else having trouble receiving the account activation email from htcdev? I've registered 3 time with different info and still nothing. Sent support emails but no response whatsoever.
If anyone still has it, I'd appreciate an upload. The htcdev site is feeling like a dead end.
Just posting an update. I contacted the htcdev twitter account and they asked for my username on the 14th, but since then nothing has changed and no more replies.

Question Tmobile device unlocking Via support

ill make this short and sweet got my device today from Tmobile, and device was locked as we all now know, i have NOT paid it off yet.
I tried using the "Pixel device unlock app" it did not work gave me a "server error" when trying to use it
i then went into the tmobile app and messaged support explaining i wanted the lock removed and had tried using the app and was presented with the "server error"
The guy told me he would take a look (once he understood what i wanted to do)
He asked for my IMEI and then asked me why I wanted to unlock the device, I told him it was because i wanted to have the full use of my device and access to the bootloader incase of an issue where I needed to flash factory firmware and prevent having to bring and pay for it too be RMA'd, 10 minutes later my device was whitelisted and now my device is unlocked.
I hope this helps anyone who's dreams were crushed like mine when I received a device with locked bootloader

I did not have as much luck as you. Spoke to two different reps and they both just kept repeating that it needed to be paid off before being permanently unlocked, regardless of the reason.

Same here. Tried through the app chat. Via FB. And then by call. All said that same thing.
I used the app chat via the TMobile app sorry to hear that tho, I guess I got lucky
Are you long time T-mobile customer? If they think you are very unlikely to leave T-mobile anyway, unlocking your device just increases your "loyalty" and no harm to them.
this is pretty common sense I thought...applies to all carrier.

You'll want to try to talk to your "local" team of experts during normal business hours found here in the US. I informed my service rep today that I understood their policy, but my Pixel 6's software was broken. That I needed to flash it via the Pixel utility found online. The rep wanted to via her documents, came back and said no promises. I reassured them the reason why and how I am not requesting it for any one EIP devices, just this one.
She came back and had whitelisted it. 10 minutes and done.
Messaging takes to long to explain this because they just push you off for 24-72 hours.

What do you mean local expert? Like the local retail store? What number did you call?
i just told them that the sim card support notification wont stop vibrating and it is annoying me, and I can't remove the notification without the device being unlocked. They went ahead and unlock the device for me.

I am too.. i chatted with sprint multiple times and they are dumber than a door nail unfortunately.. so I figured I would try Tmo support so went to the website and started a chat but said I wasn't a tmo/sprint customer yet then the rep came on and I said that I was told I could unlock the sim on the device to use other sim cards but the unlock app says server error.. He then asked for the IMEI and my phone number and submitted the request and said it should be unlocked within 24hrs lol.. so we'll see what happens.. The unlock app would either say server error or would say it isn't eligible since hasn't been on the account long enough
Sprint was completely oblivious.. spent hours talking to 5 reps across 2 days and got literally nowhere.. They kept telling me that my phone/plan already has sprint global roaming so I can use 2g data and .25c/min for calls lmao.. like that is not the same as using another sim card.. the last guy I talked to I explained everything and he read the prior chat and everything and said he will help me.. he then starts walking me through all these steps then ultimately says my device isn't eligible lol.. keep in mind this whole time I was requesting an exception for military deployment LOL.. not one of them understood what this meant or was.. the first guy even refused to transfer my chat when I asked to speak to someone who knows what I am talking about so I said he was trying to avoid getting surveyed and he laughed then began to tell me how to close chrome and clear cache and all this to try and close the chat out but it didn't work haha.. everytime i logged back in I got right back to him.. he finally randomly transferred me and someone elses name popped up who didn't even say anything and transferred me then next person said like 1 word then closed the chat then finally got the last person who almost made me believe he knew what he was doing lol..

I explained in the first paragraph lol.. go to tmobile.com and dont try to sign in.. go to contact page or until u see the chat box/icon then typed "agent" it asked if i was a customer or not i said i was not.. if u say u r it will make u sign in and send u to sprint chat

Cool, does this mean you can now use dual sim (sim and probably esim) example 2 carriers? Does the tmobile even let you do dual sim connections.

I explained in the first paragraph lol.. go to tmobile.com and dont try to sign in.. go to contact page or until u see the chat box/icon then typed "agent" it asked if i was a customer or not i said i was not.. if u say u r it will make u sign in and send u to sprint chat

So I just did that and they said they wanted me to log in in order to continue because they need account details

when i unlock the phone not the (bootloader yet) i could add a esim i havent done it yet. it give you the opinion of any carrier for the esim.

i used esim out of the box with my pixel 6 without being sim unlocked
