[Q] Chainfire 3D - Could not open ZIP file - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Whenever I try to install the plugins (clicking on for example libGLEMU_QUALCOMM.zip), I get the following:
Plugin
ERROR
Could not open ZIP file
Can this be fixed?
I'm running Gingerbread 2.3.6 and a MTK6575.

Sounds like it may have been just a bad download, I would redownload and try again

Thanks for the try but doesn't work.
I redownloaded Chainfire 3D from Google Play Store, installed the app again, then downloaded the plugins again, placed them in the root of the SD and then try to install them but still , the same error.

Hmm.. Did you install the CF3D driver first and then after it reboots install the plugin?
Try this copy of the plugin

Yes, I
- install Chainfire 3D
- then Allow SuperUser
- then I select CF3D Driver
- then I select Install
- after it saying performing install, it reboots.
- then I open Chainfire and choose Install plugin
- after that I select libGLEMU_QUALCOMM.zip and I get the error
Plugin
ERROR
Could not open ZIP file.

Oh well it was worth a shot
Looks like that plugin just won't work with your phone

Well it's weird that there is barely information about this.. must be one heck of a phone :/

Does it work with the erwin's CM9 ICS?
akulgupta100 said:
Yeah it will But
1) cf 3D is dangerous please take a backup before installing
2) NO VERSION OF CF 3D ABOVE 1.8 WORKS ON WF SO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE USING THAT(get the apk from google not market)
3)You will need plugins(google that)
4)After installing and taking a nand open cf3d and install the cf3d driver
5)After reboot open cf3d and install plugins
6)Use NVIDIA plugin
7)Now Open Instagram
8)Enjoy !!!!

[MOD][ANY PHONE] LongPress Volume to Skip tracks

Since there are many people asking for this mod which is available on CM9/10, I was searching a bit and finally got it working. It works on any ICS/JB rom but I havent tried on GB. Thanks to rovo89 and stole38. Make sure you are following all steps correctly because if not, your phone will be stuck in a bootloop. OK, here we go ! :fingers-crossed:
Requirements:
1) Root
2) init.d Support
3) Brain
Installation:
1. Download this APK file and install it on your phone (Xposed Installer) HERE
2. Download this second app and install it on your phone (Xposed Tweakbox) HERE
3. Open the Xposed Installer and press Install/Update. Wait.
4. After installing the framework, press Soft Reboot. The phone will reboot and might boot longer than usual, dont panic
5. After the phone has rebooted, open the Xposed Installer again and go to the Modules tab.
6. Check Xposed Tweakbox. And exit the Xposed Installer.
7. Open the Xposed Tweakbox app and choose Miscellaneous from the menu.
8. Check Skip tracks with volume keys
9. Exit the application and reboot the phone
10. Enjoy !
NOTE: It works only when the screen is off (locked).
i tried this on gb and i can't install xposed apps. it gives "parsing error. there has been a problem parsing the package" (this is translated to english using google translator)
Like this……
I will try it later……

7 parts you have to use the framework that's in it.
This you don't.
7 parts ( as far as I know) doesn't work with small apps.
This does, and if you search for the original thread, there is more that this can do.
I just wanted it for the skip track function.

[Q] Can´t Install Applications (apk)

I can´t install applications (apk) to the tablet. I am running 4.1.2 Kernel 3.0.31 - 767276. I have allowed the unknown sources in the security tab, but when hitting in the apk application, I got the install/cancel option, whne hitting install, the tablet doesn´t accept the option. If I hit cancel, it just cancel the installation. What should I do to be able to install apk?
Thanks
Héctor Aguirre
First, you posted on the wrong thread. (I already reported your post to be moved) Second, are you using an SIII or a tablet? Quite confused here.
I am using a tablet to post this message, but the problem is with the SGS3

Screenshot of the problem?
Do you have screen filter because it has the problem of not allowing users to press install if it is enabled. Simple solution is just to disable it (if you have it in the first place).

you said you can't install apps to the tablet, not phone
What app are you trying to install?

if u are referring to apk files you've not been able to install, download app 'easy installer ' or 'apkinstaller' from play store. easy installer is better as it scans your phone and shows you all apks present.. then click install.. if not, use apkinstaller
R: [Q] Can´t Install Applications (apk)
I dont get what ure problem is....if u mean that u try to install but then u get an error app couldnt be installed u need to install logcat fron the store and it will show you what happens when ure installing. Usually its because the app left traces in ure phone, u need to go and delete them(logcat will tell u where) and then u will be able to install.
U need root!

Is the app you're trying to installed is known to be compatible with CM10.1 and the NT?

Did you install the Safestrap .apk after you did the ROM then run the "install recovery" from within Safestrap after you did your ROM?

When I try to install safestrap I get an error 110.
I believe I just ran the ROMwwithout flashing anything else.
I should have stuck with hyperdrive.
I can use my phone and internet but the play store is out of commission for me.
I've wiped and deleted and force closed about everything related to downloading an apk.

It sounds like it'd be best if you ODIN'd back to stock and started over.
If nothing else works try the dreaded Odin route
Sent from my Beastly powered S4 using Tapatalk
Any links you could put me on for the Galaxy S4 ?
Also why is Odin dreaded?
Don't need to odin. Just simply download the apk, copy it from your SD card and paste it in your system/app folder. Once pasted, change permission to -rw -r -r. Now you'll see it in your app drawer.
Off-topic: There's something wrong with the default containers services on that rom. Everyone thinks it's a Google Play store error, nobody even bothered checking the logcat to see why...lol...I haven't gotten around to trying to fix it yet.

You're not trying to install it automatically. You're installing it manually by playing it into your app folder and changing permissions. Read my post and follow it and you will be golden, the concept is the same for all android devices
Eclipse comes with a file manager included.

The permissions should be be the same as every other apk in the folder. Try that and let me know how that goes. It's inside the system/app folder?
