i have an xperia neo L stock rooted .631 with locked bootloader. If i factory data reset from the settings app, i wont lose root?
Also i flashed the xperia z launcher, and i want to remove it, but everytime i restore from titanium backup or install the xperia gx home apk, it will change back to the xperia z launcher after reboot. Any suggestions?

Factory reset won't lose root :good::laugh: Don't worry :silly:
factory reset wont effect root
flash the Xperia GX launcher via CWM, then wipe delvik cache, reboot.. try it..
Why don't you flash a Gx launcher and try!

No definitely not. root is not gonna affect. and if you dont want z launcher then simply restore your original home.apk file. and delet old means your currently home.apk file.
You can find this using root explorer-root->sys->app. just dlt old and copy your original.
Another option install laucher....and set it as dafault. like apex or nova. gives u smooth performance.

Do you know how to get the Sony Ericsson Arc Photowidget to work?
I've tried already to install it the normal but it didn't work. Then I tried to make it a System App via titanium Backup but it didn't work, too. I'm on Cyanogenmod 7.
Thanks for your help.
Search for the Sony Xperia Arc launcher and then try using the widget. Thw widget will work only with that launcher!
Already tried, but it didn't work for me
However thanks for your help

Xperia Play Games Launcher guide for NXT phones!
This works for ICS/GB XPERIA SOLA/GO/P/U/S/T/V/J and more!
I have tested this on SOLA with ICS and this should work for all phones,
but it works 100% for the Xperia 2012 and 2011 models!
Original thread - Thank DiKeJ !!!!
Big thanks to DcQua and DiKeJ
Step1:
Download, extract to 4 files + Xperia Play app!
Step2:
Use a root file manager(recommend ES Filemanager).
Put playstationcertified.jar and xperiaplaycertified.jar to system/framework,
and the files com.sony.android.playstationcertified and com.sonyericsson.android.xperiaplaycertified to system/etc/permissions.
And Xperia_Play_Launcher.apk to system/app
Fix permissions rw-r-r for all 5files above when you put them in their locations!
Step3:
Now reboot and ENJOY!
If the app doesnt show up or work...
Boot into CWM and fix permissions then wipe dalvik cache!
Still doesnt work? Wipe the Xperia Play app data!
Myths:
It can improve performance of ROM and free RAM a little, that's beacuse of some comends/scripts.

Hello.
I want to change from CM9 FXP202 to FXP204 because in FXP202 the GPS don´t work in my NEO with Vodafone. But I don´t want to reinstall apps with Titanium and return to reconfigure the icons desktops and widgets and apps.
So I think that to update rom, I have to flash kernel, make full wipe and flah rom. Is it necessary? Is there a method to don´t lose the apps and desktops?
Thank you.

When you update from one fxp version to another you don't lose apps...usually you don't need to wipe... Just install...
So did you try?
Sent from my Xperia Neo V using xda app-developers app
I think that what I have to do is:
Flash kernel
Boot in CWM
Wipe cache partition
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash FXP ROM
If I don't do more Wipes, Iwill not lose my apps. :good:
Now, I hope that they have resolved the problem of GPS with 2011 devices in FXP204

Well..
I didn't want to start a new thread, but I can't figure out the problem by myself.
I'm on stock ics and I want to use new sony widgets. ( weather widget + OnOffTools )
so I get them from a rom zip and pushed to system/app
After that when I try to add them to home screen, nothing appears.
I tried to wipe their data using TB
moving them with root explorer and change permission
install as normal apk, still doesn't work
convert to system apps via link2sd
and still the same result.
anybody have any idea on what to do?
I also tried with the same process. But they won't work. I guess it's a framework related thing. Changed my framework files and it worked.
Okay, I'm going to check this, I flashed nxt framework and settings recently.
For the new widgets you have to use new Xperia Home! You can find the latest version in themes section!
I'm using GX with mini corners by Sejar, and it is not working.
What is the new home you refer to?
Sent from my ST15i using xda app-developers app
Yup, You were right.
