Good afternoon.
I am having an issue with my Atrix and I read on the web others have it as well. What I am noticing is my Atrix for the past several days constantly reboots while I am at work. When I leave and go home or other areas of our region I have not noticed the phone rebooting.
Of course, talking to an AT&T phone rep in their stores is a waste of time because they want to replace my battery or give me a refurbished phone...
I'm noticing where I am at in our building the phone signal is constantly dropping. I believe the tower the AT&T antennas are on here in the city (Suffolk, VA) may be getting moved.
Is it possible that the phone is using more power to make a connection and overheating the phone, causing a reboot?
What is the software are you running at the moment is it a ROM or Motorola software?

I'm having this same issue. The phone is rebooting constantly while doing various activities.
Sometimes I'll try to turn the screen, it'll fail to turn on and reboot, or it'll freeze within an application and reboot. I'm running stock 2.3.4.
I have a feeling that the Atrix is just semi-unstable in general. My Fiance and I both have the Atrix and mine is custom rom'ed and overclocked (blah, blah), but her's is stock and still randomly reboots or freezes.
I went to Verizon and the Galaxy Nexus. Problem solved

Just bought the phone three days ago and am having some problems I didn't see around here. Stock locked device. My phone keeps sending me to pacific time when set on automatic network update. Also I get hang ups with the 4G. It's connected with full bars but nothing loads. Facebook, browser, email. None of it loads up. After a few attempts it finally "activates" and starts working.
Can anyone help me out with these concerns? Normal? Or should I go swap out at the Verizon store?

The bars don't indicate 4g, just cellular signal. There are also reports of time zone shifting of those close to time zone lines. Shouldn't hang on 4g but you may have low 4g signal in your area. I would go to store and see if floor model act similarly.

Here's the brief version. Got my one x+ about 6wks ago. Yesterday, the screen decided it wasn't liking me and after trying everything and then some, it was honestly fried. You could push the power button, nothing. Toast. No idea why. Went into DSC. Which this is where it gets screwy and I'm wondering if this is what's causing the issue. I got a swap, after a short 90mn wait. I went to sign into my google account OTA, and it wouldn't let me. Had to be wifi. Did it over wifi since it was past closing and I had yet another hour drive home. As I went to leave, I noticed my data wasn't working, nor was my bluetooth. Ran next to the retail store next door and told the guy what was wrong. He went into my APN settings, and NONE of what you'd nomrally see in the field boxes, wasnt in there, had to do a master reset on a brand new never used phone and that seemed to help.....so I thought.. It's in there now, thanks to this site and the store tech. Anyway, today, 98% of the time, have 4G LTE in my home, it doesn't matter where in my house, it's always covered with 4G... Not today. It's been on EDGE almost all day long, and when I try to go into the settings and such, some of the options I've seen on other posts on here, aren't even in mine. ATT had me do a software update just this evening, and it hasn't switched back to 4G since. I'm currrently running 4.1 and pending where my phone is sitting, (which has NEVER been an issue before) I'll see it quickly switch to 4G, and then back to edge. Never more than 10 seconds. Is there a way to force it back to 4G? I have wifi but omg, it's still so slow! And delays my texts a tad too. SO ANNOYING!
OK, before I get too far along with this phone, I figured I'd inquire first before exchanging/replacing with a different phone.
I've had this phone for about 3 days now and it's not been bad. However, at least three times today, the phone has acted up. Basically it shows it has a good 4G signal (at least 4 bars) but anytime I attempt to make a call it instantly beeps/disconnects. If I wait, eventually the 4G icon will disappear (still showing decent signal). Wait a little longer and the phone will reboot but hang on the Android/T-Mobile screen. The only resolution is to remove the battery.
I am running Tel-Cel which runs on the T-Mobile network. Most of the time I get great reception and data transfers; these problems are completely random and at locations I have gotten decent service otherwise.
The only mods to the phone are some bloatware I disabled. However, I disabled this junk the day I received the phone and didn't have any problems until a couple days later...
Has anyone else had similar issues? Assuming the phone is good, the only things I can think of is if maybe there is some odd communication issues since it's not actually "T-Mobile". That or I did have to trim the SIM card and if maybe it's gotten damaged. Unfortunately I have no way of testing this as my old phone is still locked/for AT&T...
Is anyone else experiencing hang ups when using mobile data? Every so often (multiple times throughout the day) data stops coming in and I see the upload arrow on the LTE but no apps or data respond until I flip on airplane mode and back off. It's been happening every day for over a week and factory reset didn't help.
Happened to me a few times but not super frequent. It was random and I figured it was verizon data service and not the phone. I didn't see any downtime for vzw online though so I dunno. There's a security update and maybe that'll fix the bug if it is one as well.
I've noticed this as well.
I mostly get it when I launch the Google Search/Assistant app. I can verify it immediately because it's not listening for my voice input. Another way to tell is that the newsfeed that Google usually loads doesn't appear, nor does it attempt to auto complete any searches I perform. I haven't had to cycle my Data or WiFi on/off to get it to work, I usually just kill the app from the Recents screen and relaunch it, whereupon it launches and performs normally.
I have noticed the same thing when it comes to my google feed/google app.
Just happened again and it's pretty annoying. Can't figure what's causing it. I noticed Pandora wouldn't play and then tried to open my Google feed and nothing. Tried YouTube and a few other apps and still nothing. Did a reboot and all is good. Will try and toggle data off and on next time
Still happening. Randomly when browsing things won't load and I'll notice the LTE upload arrow and nothing works until I toggle airplane mode. Starting to get on my nerves.
Good to know it wasn't just me.
I'm all the way in Korea so I can tell you if can't be the network provider at fault here. Also the immediate recovery after toggling airplane mode and back also points to this problem being a device issue.
This is quite irritating...
Quick update: after a factory reset the phone still hangs randomly on 4G up data until toggled off.
Hopefully the last update. Switched sim cards and it seemed to solve the issue. Been running 4G data instead of WiFi for the past two days without hiccups. May have been an issue when switching the card from my 6P.
I had random glitches with the data too. I noticed it has pretty weak RF performance compared to Moto Z and S7 Edge on verizon. I haven't tested S8 yet (waiting for unlocked)
Phone tricked me. Issues persist after new sim card. Now comes the battle of refurbished phones.
FWIW, I can't see any difference in RF performance good or bad vs my old HTC One M8. In good spots, service is still good. And in bad spots, it's still bad.
Well, service is great when it works. I assumed it was network prioritization but it happens even on a New billing cycle.
I replaced the sim card, reset the phone, used safe mode, and just got all brand new G6 in the mail. Same issue and Verizon doesnt know why. At this point it has to be a network issue.
As an interesting side note, I used my 6P all day with no issues this past weekend

I've had a similar issue recently, a few times. Sometimes the phone will say no network connection in certain apps, other times it just does not work, LTE arrows blinking, but no data, apps do not respond. However, it would not work after toggling airplane mode, so I rebooted. Oddly, when this happened, my wife opened the same app on her G6, and it worked (we were not on wifi). Not sure if it's a network issue, or not. I'm gonna try a factory reset and see if that corrects this. I've had the device for 10 days, has happened 3 times.
I had a similar issue 2 days ago; no Verizon internet when trying to use my Chamberlain garage door opener app. I got it to work again when switching networks from Global to LTE/CDMA and back to Global. After that I rebooted the phone, got off wifi to make sure Verizon data works. Haven't had a problem since.
Another update but I'm sure no one cares any more. Used my 6P all last week with no issues. Back on my G6 today and data freezing throughout the day. Verizon doesn't believe me and no one knows what to do. I'm SOL and this G6 is to blame.
My girlfriend and I have both bought 2 brand g6s. Within 30days of owning, all of the issue that have been presented on here have happened and continue to happen even after joining a different verizon network plan. We have not figured out a fix and these are BRAND NEW. Not refurbished phones
