Did you flash the boot.IMG in from the rom zip via fastboot?
Sent from my HTC Desire X using xda app-developers app
Hello
I have the same problem than wanko97.
This is the first time I am rooting my phone.
I used nlooooo's tutorial for UNLOCKING OF BOOTLOADER and CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLING AND ROOTING.
For recovery.img I used TWRP v2.4.3
Then I followed instructions from the elegancia page.
After I selected the aplications I wonted to install, the phone only wipe the data and says it successfully installed. But it takes les then a seccond.
After reboot the OS does not load.
what am I missing?
the Elegancija instructions does not say anything about flashing boot.IMG...
Help plese
R: Can't install ELEGANCIA ROM
People please try with TWRP v2.4.1 and tell me if it works.

First you have to flash boot.img than flash ZIP file.
Elegancia ROM is Sense Lite, if you see Matte Skin as default and when you go on Information Setting you see Elegancia ROM v1.0.0 it will be installed.

R1 is based on 1.14 RUU so you still have boot.img from 1.14. R2 i R3 are based on 1.18 so you need to flash boot.img based on 1.18, because when you flash rom boot.img included in rom.zip doesn't get flashed, you have to do it manually. Go to tutorial, I told you where, and you'll find a solution.
EDIT-EXPLANATION
Files from boot.img and some parts of zImage (kernel image) correspond to a correct lib files (modules from lib folder). So when you have one part (boot.img) from one base and the other part (modules) from different, and if manufacturer made some changes to ether one of them, you'll end up with some stuff not working (usually wifi, mobile data, gps...).

You have to check two things:
1. Do you have HTC drivers installed? They can be installed with HTC Sync from HTC support page, or only drivers from here. Install drivers, connect phone to PC, and wait for windows to install new device.
2. Do you have proper ADB and Fastboot installed? This can be achieved along with android sdk installation or separate from here.
Once you have these things, make a folder on primary partition (C for example), name it "adb", put in it all adb and fastboot executables and dll's and other files there are in an adb package. Then, press and hold SHIFT, right click on "adb" folder name, select "Open command window here" from menu, click, release SHIFT.
If your phone is connected to PC, now you can communicate with it. Only, in fastboot mode, when I type adb devices, I don't get HTC name, only adb list of devices attached, but list is empty. No problem, the PC will communicate with phone anyway. If you can't see that message after adb devices command, and you see waiting for devices, that is a problem - Your PC don't "see" your phone.
So, good luck! :good:

Look man, search for the device code in google and find the custom rom for exactly the same device.... You should flash the boot image exactly
the same as in the zip file..... I think you have mistakenly flashed wrong boot image....
Try this one... I am currently using this in my HTC Desire V
here
First put the zip file in sd card, boot into recovery, factory reset, wipe dalvik cache.
Flash the above zip and after flashing, reboot the device... It will take some time to reboot... Atleast 5 mins, here in this rom, some chinese
animations as boot... Power down, reboot bootloader and flash the boot image of this zip and then reboot....
Thank you, and tell me if it will work..

Just try to flash the rom once again....First of all, reboot recovery, wipe factory data, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache...
Now flash the zip.
Let it reboot..
Next one is to shut the phone down, reinsert the battery, and flash the boot image of the zip file in bootloader.
Things should work.. If not, there is only one reason, you are not flashing the zip compatible to HTC Desire V..
In this post
here it is clearly written,
Bugs
-Camera
-GSM/CDMA/WCDMA
-WI-FI
-BLUETOOTH
-RECENT APPS (to access it hold home button)
Now if he said like that, it is not gonna work.....
What can I do?
Thanks

From what you say seems that you can't manage to flash correct the boot.img. For this phone is important to flash the associated boot.img that comes with the ROM you install. You can find that separate, as attachment in ROM post, or you can extract it from ROM zip.
And then, you have to reboot phone in bootloader mode (only in bootloader), and with command prompt or terminal, from a directory where you have adb and fastboot files along with that boot img, you must flash the boot image. The command is:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
, or instead of boot.img, the name of boot img you get from ROM's post.

Had you flashed the kernel in fastboot before installing the ROM in recovery?
The steps are:
1_Save zips folder with ROM and Gapps on your phone SD card
2_extract the folder with ROM on your computer (using 7zip or similar) and take the boot.img file
3_connect your phone with PC in fastboot mode and flash the kernel (typing "fastboot flash boot boot.img) in the command window
4_after that open your phone in recovery and wipe data/factory reset and cache partition
5_install the zip (with rom) from sd card (like you did)
6_wipe again data/factory reset and cache partition (just to avoid any bootloop)
7_install gapps from the zip
8_reboot system and you are done!
Note that the first boot with new ROMs always take a bit longer than usual...

Congrats you succeeded to get cm11.
I'm also looking to flash cm11 but for that unlocked bootloader is needed and by doing that I'll lost bravia engine. That was other thing. What u wanted to ask is that while unlocking bootloader which steps did you follow.
Know there's a bunch of thread about that, but I want you to tell me.I mean any step you want me to do that carefully or any other thing.
What about if you want to relock your bootloader.
Sent from 'not any permanent posture/position' using Xperia go
unlocking bootloader
1 root your phone i used kingo root
2 unlock bootloader
3 go to the sony developping sitehttp://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
4 fellow the steps untill they give the code to unlock your phone now download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335555 for flashing software and connecting with abd

7 download recover x from play store to install cwm or twrp
8 go in the flashtool from androxyde and
9 look if he gets root acces and that you have busybox installed (dont forget to put usb debugging on)
10 click the lightning and select fastboot mode
11click reboot into fastboot mode (via abd)
12 reboot into fastboot mode (via fastboot)
13 select kernel to flash and find the image in the folder you made on the pc instal it and disconnect your xperia when done
14 go in your recovery on your xperia by holding the power button and tapping volume up do this untill you see recovery
15 select backupp and restore and then backupp to save a copy of your rom
16Select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" then "advanced > wipe Dalvik cache."
17 select instal zip from sd card choose zip from sd card choose the rom where you flashed the kernel of in the flashtool confirm and do the same with the gapss 4.4 if you dont do this you might have no playstore and google plus
18 select reboot and enjoy your rom

For NewBie'sHii Today Iam Going To Help All New Users Of Grand 2 SM-G7102,SM-G7105.
BasicIf U Want To Install New Custom Roms Or Any Type Of Custom Rom Then Follow The Steps.
●First You Need A Custom Recovery To Install A Custom Rom Or Any Zip Files
●There Are Many Custom Recovery Available For Grand 2 Both Varients(But I Recommend TWRP).
How To Install Custom Recovery ?●First U Need To Download TWRP Recovery
●The Recovery Should Be In Tar Format(Odin Flashable)
●Then U Need To Download Odin Latest Version(I Added The Files Link Below)
●Then Extract Odin.zip In Desktop And Open Extracted Folder From There
●Now U Need To Access Your Phone Into Download Mode,To Access Download Mode U Need To Press(Volume Down+Home Button+Power Button Together)Then U Will See An Android Icon On Your Screen Press Volume Up Button To Continue,Now Connect Ur Device To Your PC Via An USB Cable.
●Ok Now Last Step Is Open Odin As Administrator By Right Click On Your Mouse.
●Now U Will See That Odin Is Opened And There Are Many Options Like AP,CP,Etc
●Now U Need To Select Ap Option And Find Ur Recovery.tar File Where U Placed It Then Click Start To Start The Installation.(Uncheck Auto Reboot Option If U Are On Stock Rom Means 4.4.2 Kitkat,This Will Bypass install-recovery.sh)
●It Will Take Some Seconds To Complete When U See Pass Message Then Look At Your Phone.
●Now Remove Battery And Reinsert The Battery And Press Volume Up+Home Button+Power Button) To Enter Into Recovery Mode. And U Will See That TWRP Is Written In Your Screen.
Congrats You're Successfully Installed Custom Recovery
How To Install Custom Rom Or Patches ?●First Download The Rom.zip File To Your Internel Storage Or Externel Storage Wherever U Want.
●Then In TWRP Recovery
●Select>Wipe Option Then Tick 4 Options
●Data,Cache,Dalvik-Cache,And System
●Now Install Ur Rom.zip File From Ur Specific Storage Where U Placed The Rom.zip File And Wait For Installation Complete(If There Is No Patch Required For The Rom,Then Follow This Instruction Only)
●And If There Is Any Patch Required To Fix Any Bug Of Any Rom That You're Installing Then All U Need To Do This Just Follow Above Step But Before Start U Select 1 Option Add Zip Files (Which Is Came After U Select Any Zip File),And Select Your Patch Zip For Your Rom,Then Start The Installation.
How To Fix BootLoop On Your Current Rom ?●Bootloop Is An Irritating Bug Of Any Device.
What Is Bootloop ?
●Look You're Using A Rom Such As Stock Or Custom Rom.And U've Powered Off Your Devicr Or U've Selected Restart,And Suddenly U're Saw That You're Phone Is Not Booting Or Stuck At Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Logo Or In Boot Animation. And Not Booting Or Not Turning Up The Soft Key Lights.
How To Fix Bootloop ?
●If You've Did'nt Flashed Anything Then Select Wipe Dalvik Cache And Cache,After That Reboot Your Phone And Your Phone Will Start Within Some Minutes.
●If U Flashed Something That Is Not Supported By You're Device And U Dont Know What U've Done And U Saw Bootlooping Then Wipe All Partitions
System
Data
Dalvik-Cache
Cache
Then Reflash Your Rom With Patch(If U Remember How To Do This Then Ok Or Otherwise Follow My Step In This Thread Which I've Written Above.
How To Flash A Rom Without Loosing Any Of Your Personal Data Or Apps ?If U Want To Flash A Custom Rom With All Your Personal Data And Apps Then Stay Chilled You're In Right Place.
●First Of All Go To TWRP Recovery Go To Wipe And Select Only System,Cache,Dalvik-Cache Do Not Wipe Data

It is easy and convinient if you're gonna use this method somehow watch out for the bugs because it may cause u to get stuck on recovery booting or download mode (good news is it wont affect with ur memory).
Use flashify, select the downloaded recovery (Extract when needed) and wait for some few minutes to flash the file.

it might vary from device to device.. in this what i did is:
* extracted partition dump from device using adb shell(need root)
Code:
dd if=/path/to/partition/ of=/sdcard/or/anything
* then made the zip (You can use mine just replace the files with your device correct files.. and you are good to go.
* othe guy did more amazing hacks.. like he made some fastboot envoronment in twrp and directly made zip from fastboot images.. although those images are pretty much same as extracted from sdb but sparsed you can have look on them too
hope it helped

First you need to find the reason for bootlooping then only making the stock zip is possible
Actually installing stock ROM from pc should not give bootlooping if bootloop occcrs you messed up with files check whether the files belonging to your device model reply with device model and other stuffs

I tried an AOSP Rom and found out that VoLTE is not working. So I flashed to stock using this method.
All is now working, but I am repeatedly getting this error message regarding Motorola update being unsuccessful, which is burning down my battery faster.
What can I do about it?.
Please help.

Thanks for the reply. I have downladed april fastboot flashable rom from Mororola updates (link shared at telegram channel) but when i unpacked it, there was no flash script inside, so I could not flash that stock rom and I am still getting this error.
If you or somebody can share that flashall.bat script, i will be thankful.
edit: managed to flash the latest official firmware using youtube tutorial by andro guruji.
All my data was also safe.
Thanks again.
Will I get official updates after flashing this stock rom??
