Bricked my MSI Enjoy 10" Plus - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've got an MSI Windpad Enjoy 10" Plus (http://www.msi.com/product/windpad/Enjoy-10-Plus.html) and I tried to flash it this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1540616).
The rom is for MSI Windpad Enjoy 10", while mine is called Enjoy 10" Plus. So GG, I think I got owned. So retarded you don't even have to tell me.
Now whenever I try to turn on the tablet, it would simply vibrate, show the logo and then turns off. PC doesn't detect it.
However, I tried holding Power button + Reset button together, the PC detects it, but it's unknown and it can't identify it (even though I have MSI's drivers installed and all).
...Any ideas on how to overcome it?
I'm going to sleep now, and will check tomorrow. Thanks in advance.
[UPDATE] 2/22/2013 11:00pm gmt
I'm able to boot it only if I have it plugged in. I can only use Power + Volume controllers + Reset buttons. I can enter Recovery Mode but I cannot confirm/click on any selection.
Tablet does not get recognized by the computer in "Flashing Mode".
I forced to install the driver for the "Flashing mode" when the tablet is in recovery mode but programs like MSIFlashtool, RKBatchTool, RKAdnroid. (not sure if i correcly used the last 2... but whatever)

This is not Samsung or a phone. Read what you are told
If you have a splash screen, you are not bricked. Does adb recognise your tablet? Can you access any recovery/download mode?

ADB doesn't recognize it. I tried holding Power + Reset button and did 'adb devices' on Ubuntu and it didn't show anything. On Windows, if I held these 2 buttons, it would show an unknown device in Device Manager. (Mind you, I don't have the Android SDK on Windows, just Linux.)
I can't access any recovery/download mode. Any combination of buttons (Power+VolDown, Power+VolUp/VolDown, Power+VolUP, Power+Home, Power+Back, Power+Settings) would do nothing.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This what it does when I press Power + Reset Button with a needle. It boots up, splash screen, and stays on black screen (Btw, in this stage, it's Unknown Device in Windows Manager).Once I let go of Reset or Power button, it shuts down.
Turning it on without holding Reset, it would show splash screen, black screen and turns off in about 2 seconds.

Bump.
I've tried playing with it for some time. I can't get it to stay working without pressing power+reset buttons, it always shuts off...

Go to the device website, and download section, get the latest firmware and forget to download the flash driver.
Follow the steps that in firmware folder after unzip it, and you'll get your tablet on

... I was trying all the time to get it work on the PC without plugging the charger. Anyways~
(Tablet's turned off), I plugged charger, I plugged USB, I turned on the tablet and viola it actually worked and booted into OS. However, no buttons work AT ALL, and touch input doesn't work as well.
I tried to get into Recovery Mode and it worked, but I can go up/down using VolUp/VolDow buttons but I cannot click on any thing because the home button don't work nor any other.
Only Power + VolUp + VolDown + Reset buttons work... What to do now?
TL;DR I want to click on 'Update from SD Card' from the Android Recovery but I couldn't get the 'home' button to click enter on the selection. So what's the solution?

bump.
updates:
I tried to place the firmware from the official website as update.img on an SD Card and placed it in the tablet and went into the recovery mode and selected the 'update from sd card' but i couldn't click it. I tried to tap power, home, search, settings and back and nothing worked.
what I've got up until now:
I can boot into the ROM / RecoveryMod as long as I have the charger plugged in the tablet.
For Ubuntu, when I use the command $ tail -f /var/log/syslog and plug in my tablet, it shows this log http://pastebin.com/pBpBUA2Q (it identifies the tablet) [note, the tablet is booted into the ROM]
Also, if I'm in the recovery mode and I plug in the tablet, it would enumerate the USB... ~,~

Hello,
I know it has been long since this thread stopped.
I'm currently in his shoes and for the life of me cannot find anything on the web to help me solve my problem.
My MSI Enjoy 10" Plus was flashed with the wrong MSI Enjoy 10" update. Now the tablet only turns on when in "Recovery Mode", but selecting in that mode is not possible using 10" Plus' buttons. Is there anyone from you good people that can help? Please? Thanks.

Uhm...bump?
Bump? Need help from the experts here. Please. I'm desperate.
Thank you very much in advance.

[Q] 2.2 on Vibrant gone wrong

I tried to upgrade to the 2.2 operating system using a guide on android forums.
I originally had a rooted 2.1 OS, I don't know if I unplugged it before the process was complete or if I had to return to a stock OS prior to upgrading; however now I cannot get to download mode to use Odin again.
I have read through some threads and I have a different case, I am not stuck at the Vibrant screen, I get past it. Upon boot up I get the Galaxy S screen followed by an Android System Recovery <3e> screen with some other texts. If I hold the power button, I will get the "Power Reset or Unknown Upload Mode" screen. If I continue to hold the power button, the phone will cycle between those three modes, the Galaxy S screen, the Android System Recovery screen, and the unknown upload mode screen.
I have and am still trying different key combinations to get back to recovery mode in attempts to reload the stock OS and then continue with the 2.2 upgrade.
I have made a video that I will post when I get home later today; any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
What about pull battery plug in usb hold volume keys while placing battery back in DOWNLOAD MODE
Still flashing , thanks to odin & tw
You will be ok. Learn ODIN and you will have your phone back in a hour or so.

I am no expert by any means but perhaps the following might be of help:
try selecting reinstall packages when the stock recovery screen comes up, this may allow you to access CWM Recovery.
also try-- set up odin on Pc and plug in usb cable to Pc ONLY. Then with power off and phone not connected to Pc hold down both volume up and volume down and plug the usb in FROM computer this should take you to Download mode.
Try to reboot your phone with adb.
To get into download mode do this:
remove battery
replace battery
Hold both volume keys.
plug in USB
at no time touch the power button.
Takes me into download mode every time!

if that doesn't work...
From here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=848737
1. Get into Download Mode (WITH THE PHONE PLUGGED IN) by following the steps below
*Turn off the phone until you get to the charging battery screen (keep in mind, your phone is currently PLUGGED IN)
*Press volume up and down, and power all at once.
*As soon as the screen turns black, release your power button.
2. Unplug phone from USB
3. Open Odin (in Administrator if you're running W7 or Vista), try one of the ones I attached to this post, at least one of them is bound to work, some don't work for me, but works for others, some doesn't work for others, but works for me, whatever floats your boat
4. Load in the files into Odin that you have downloaded from above Just load in the files corresponding to the text field.
DO NOT CHECK REPARTITION.
5. Plug in your phone with the DL mode
6. Click start and wait for the magic
i can get into recovery mode but not dl mode, an my pc never recognized my phone via usb even when android worked

Code:
adb reboot download

10 seconds: hold power...
When the phone reboots to the Vibrant screen...
Press and hold: Vol up+Vol Dn+Power....
Wait for the Vibrant screen to reboot again...
Release Power... Download mode...
* Unfortunately, sounds like you've never setup adb or the sdk. I would recommed this...
i think i have a hardware locked phone, i just got it today.
But i can get into recovery mode via hardware, so maybe i dont have hardware locked? and it IS possible to get to download mode on my phone via the buttons right?

If you follow the steps your phone will enter download mode, In order for your PC to recognize what kind of device is plugged into it you need the samsung drivers. Which are here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728929

yes, so is that fixable?
Yeah definitely fixable, You just need to install the Samsung drivers onto your PC. Use Odin to flash a stock ROM onto your device and things should be better for you. I would suggest doing some research here on XDAand getting familiar with flashing a phone. Ive recovered from where you are now(a long time ago) this phone is very resilient. I have a thread over in the Q&A section with links to a video tutorial that I made for flashing a phone from stock, rooting, then all the way up to nero. Do a search on it, Good luck!
i just need to get into need to get into download mode and get odin to recongnize my phone and i should be good, it's such a pain! ;(. But THANKS for your help! I wish theres just ONE way to get into download mode.

Boot Loop on Galaxy Tab 10.1 that prevents shutting device off.

So I already posted in both threads similar to mine I'm posting now, but those problems seem to be different from the problem I'm having.
So everyone says to do the emergency "power on with volume up held down"
But mine never powers off. The Boot loop goes from the boot loop sequence, and if I force it off it goes to "Entering Upload Mode: Cause Unknown". Forcing that off it immediately boots into the boot loop. So I can never shut it off, so I can never enter the emergency "hard reset" mode, because the device never shuts off. Eventually the battery dies, but the hard reset doesn't worth then either.
Does anyone know how to use the upload mode? The link to a samsung driver in the other thread is now a broken link. And once I'm able to write data to the device, where do I get the right set of android hard reset files?
I have no data on the device I need.
I have a very similar situation. Since yesterday my tab got caught in a boot loop. Didn't made any changes, just went into it. And the only way to turn it off is to force it to go to download mode and turn it off down by holding power button from there. I have rooted it a long time ago. I can't get into recovery mode by holding power+up. All I can get it the download mode that first says "waiting for usb cable" and if I connect it to the PC it goes to "press the [START] of Odin3". Do I need to try the fastboot method and reset it to factory details? I've being trying to do that but no devices were listed... Or do I need to reflash something with oding again? Please, just give me a tip.

If you're using a windows machine reinstall the drivers and see if that helps get past the problem. If you need links I have to get on my PC an copy and paste from there. Keep us updated. I've been there done that I think. So I hope I can help.

What drivers? I've never installed any drivers of any kind, nor does my manual mention the need for drivers?
What is Odin, and why have I never heard of it? Why can't I find a download link for Odin?
Also, why can't I find any information about Odin?
This is the best I can find, but it appears to not be the maker.... http://www.rootingdroid.com/246/flash-your-samsung-with-odin-download-odin/
The instructions on that page:
" Using your data cable, connect your Android device to your computer. Turn off your mobile device for 30 seconds then power it up by pressing and holding HOME, POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you will be prompted that you have entered in download mode."
I finally got into download mode! I had to connect the USB cable to the device. However, the copy of Odin3 I found is just a giant box with blank text fields. I have no idea what I'm doing with it. It did not auto detect my device, and I have no idea what firmware version I currently am using because I can't get the device to boot.

Flashed Wrong Recovery - CWM and Download mode don't work

I tried to Unroot my Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE last night and think I may have bricked my tablet. I used the instructions here on the XDA forum which had a link to all the Stock ROM's in one place. I got the most recent one and the only one for USA but it said it was for the model 7510. I didn't think that would be a problem since the USB drivers I installed on my PC were also labeled as being for the 7510 and they worked.
This tablet is the SCH-I905. Now I can't get it to boot at all. Gets stuck in a boot loop. Shows the Samsung logo, then resets and does it again. I can't get it in recovery mode either. Goes to a black screen and hangs.
Using the normal process to get to Download mode doesn't work. Holding Power and Volume Up, then letting go of the Power button, then pressing Volume Down and then Up. That's one weird thing. I can get to the option screen that shows the Download and Recovery mode options. Normally I would hit the Volume Down button to select Download mode and on the screen it says to press Volume Up to continue or Volume Down to cancel. If I press Volume Up it goes to a black screen and hangs. If I press Volume Down I get the Odin Download screen that says Waiting on USB cable.
That screen doesn't look the same as what I normally see but I'm not sure what's different. I didn't memorize each line of text. I just know there's not as much text there as there usually is. My PC will not recognize the tablet no matter which USB port I try to use and the tablet doesn't recognize that the USB cable is plugged in. I had no problem with the USB connection before I flashed the 7510 stock ROM.
So, if I cannot get to recovery mode and I can't get Download mode to work so I can use Odin to flash a different rom then is this thing bricked or is there something else I can try? I am about to try using my laptop and its USB ports but I don't think that's going to make any difference.
BTW, I have since found the correct 'stock recovery rom' at droidbasement.com and downloaded it to my PC. I just need to get on the tablet somehow.
Many people have your problem. I have my Lte verizon bricked as yours. The problem is demaged bootloader, only nvflash can fix it but actually our bootloader is locked and we need a hex key called sbk. At least we have to wait that somebody hack our tab from the basement. For now we can only search and share result.

Azpen A727 Tablet - UnBrick (How to)

{Solved}I have an Azpen A727 i bought from MicroCenter that I bricked.
I found out the solution to unbrick the tablet. First you need the firmware for the version of Android your A727 came with (Jelly Bean or KitKat) which i will provide the links for or you can request from Azpen (which i did and got a response for in 30min), 2nd you need a flashing tool called PheonixUSBPro and a "key" to flash your firmware on the bricked tablet.
1. Follow the instructions on this page for flashing firmware and downloading PhoenixUSBPro here http://www.azpenpc.com/download/detail.php/id-2.html or use the Backup here https://drive.google.com/folderview...JrLUZEYTFjOVF2ajJISy1pdkVCSTgzVlk&usp=sharing
2. a. Firmware and "Key" for A727 Jelly Bean https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B53yZ1fbVqxJVnNFSkY2cjFoRjQ&usp=sharing
b. Firmware and "Key" for A727 KitKat (For some reason we have two different versions. If one doesn't work try the other)https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B53yZ1fbVqxJZGx2SDVPcWhsWmM&usp=sharing
Note: If anyone is having trouble with PhoenixUSBPro detecting your tablet try holding down the power button and plugging in your tablet from the micro-USB side then press the power button 10 times. Then Windows should be installing the driver so PhoenixUSBPro should detect it now. It worked for me in Windows 7.
If anyone has any problems let me know . Thank you @viper2110 for providing the community with the KitKat firmware.
bricked as well
Were you able to get the device working again?

{Solved}I have an Azpen A727 i bought from MicroCenter that the camera wasnt working so i decided to install a custom ROM on it instead of bringing back to the store. I was able to root it. But once I flashed a custom ClockWorldMod from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532464 i was bricked.
I found out the solution to unbrick the tablet. First you need the firmware which i will provide the link for or you can request from Azpen (which i did and got a response for in 30min), 2nd you need a flashing tool called PheonixUSBPro and a "key" to flash your firmware on the bricked tablet.
1. Follow the instructions on this page for flashing firmware and downloading PhoenixUSBPro http://www.azpenpc.com/download/detail.php/id-2.html
2. Firmware and "Key" https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B53yZ1fbVqxJVnNFSkY2cjFoRjQ&usp=sharing

3) Select the ROM that you want to flash to your A700.
4) Hold down the Vol button on your device (I usually hold it down Vol-, not Vol+, but I believe that this device does not matter which.)
5) While holding down Vol, plug the micro-USB end of the cable into your A700. Keep holding down the Vol button.
6) While still holding down the Vol button, WITH the USB cable now connected between your computer and your A700, press and release the A700's Power button 10 times, and wait for a second to a few.
7) The LiveSuit program will detect your A700 going into download mode and begin prompting you for what to do.
8) Follow LiveSuit's recommendations, including formatting. It will take less than 5 minutes.
This wasn't clear to me from the original post.
However I followed the original link and figured it out.
Hope that clears it up for anyone else.

Im pretty sure LiveSuit wont work on the A727 because the CPU is different. The A727 uses an Allwinner thats why we have to use PhoenixUSBPro. Sorry for my late response I dont have internet anymore so I got lucky today getting online, lol.

Yeah, sorry I was using PhoenixUSBPro, guilty of not mentioning that.
Anyone else have any luck unbricking the A727 with this method?
Look what I ran across
SDK for Allwinner CPUs?
Now will this aid in someone creating a Android 4.4 image for an Azpen a1023 or at least a custom CWM or TWRP? for one?
answer soon back.

Yeah I was aware of that, but that's for an A700
and I am actually interested in A1023, not sure the A700 will work for the A1023
Question. Frozen after reimage.
Hi all! I was able to reimage my A727 with PhoenixUSBPro and the firmware and key linked in the OP, but when it reboots and comes up to the initial screen, it's frozen. Won't take any input. The only thing I can do is force a shutdown with the power button. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Yup, tried the reset button and resetting back to factory. Still frozen.
I just redownloaded everything from the OP onto a Win 7 Pro x86, instead of on my Win 7 Ultimate x64 system, ran the upload, and it is working fine now. Thanks for all the help. :good:

I also have an azpen tablet that comes up with the azpen logo when switching it on and it just stays there.
I did try your solution above but does not work. The device does not seem to be picked up in PhoenixUSBPro.
In windows device manager it did pick up the device as "USB Developer". I instlled the Google drives and now it shows as "Android Composite ADB Interface". But PhoenixUSBPro still does nit pick it up.
Any ideas what else I can try.

Are you holding down the power button and volume down button while plugging in your tablet like Azpen said?
