You want your exfat card to show up in cm and cfx? Well then flash the zip in the link (the tldr paragraph) in recovery, reboot, and smile. It works perfectly in cfx sr15 with 64gb uhs1 samsung card. Happy Friday!

I thought that surely there would be more folks interested in this. What's the point of having an sd slot if you're not going to load it up with the largest compatible card that's reasonably priced? And you know fat32 has been around since like 1996 or something like that, right? My exfat card is even a wee bit faster than the on board nand flash lol.

Oh, don't you worry. Once I flash to a 4.2.2 ROM I'll be using this. Just waiting for the camera and GPS issues to get worked out.
I also took note of this, but since i need my phone to be stable...i figured i'd give you a bit of time to test run the utility. I expect I'll be trying it out in the next few days.

Yesterday I updated to twrp 2.4.4. Reformatted my 64gb sdcard to exfat.
Then upgraded my rom.
So far so good.
All with a lil help from my friends on xda.
Does twrp support exfat?
Sent via LG E970 SlickROM v6
Yup. all works well. I think exfat support was added around twrp 2.3 or so.

Sweet action man. I just tried it out after LGNPSTing to stock jb and rooting/freegeeing again. It's rather slick!
Bump for guy in tuxattack's thread with exfat card problem.

I'm running SnowLeopard's 4.3 AOSP Rom, build 1. I seem to be having issues with SD card read/write. Has anyone running a 4.3 Rom flashed this to get a fix?

Did you flash the fix for location services and sd r/w? I believe there was a link somewhere in snow's thread. I'll have to wait til i get home to test to see if it works on his build as I am currently at work.
EDIT: Here is the link. Fix
This is only applicable if you trying to use an NTFS or exfat or any other format listed in the first post. formatted sd card.

Did you read the guide on installing vgb in the dev section. There is a custom bootloader you need to flash...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1212239
this should work for miui, cm7, and vgb since they all are mtd based roms.
I don't think a bootloader is going to fix the SD card problems. These phones eat SD cards, even in "stock" OTA form. It's not isolated to MIUI, CM7, or OTA for that matter.

I meant the gb bootloaders.tar found in the link above. If I'm not mistaken, some folks were reporting that helped?
Is there a cm7 rom specifically built for 8GB Nook Tablet? I tried to run the March 9 final alpha from SD card but the speed is way to slow to be useful.
I read most of the thread but I was able to find any cm7 rom for emmc. Can anyone build one? Thanks.
Maybe the card?
I ran CM7 on my Sandisk 16GB Class 4 card for a week before installing CM7 internally. I did not notice a speed difference at all. Certainly not what you state.
I would sugest trying a "better" card. There are many threads on this subject if you use the search.

I have been running CM7a via sdcard for a couple of months. During the time that my NT8 was bricked, it was the only thing that worked. Now I have cm9 internal and still use CM7 on SD (using it to write this). I find it to be as responsive as the internal cm9.
I have CM7a loaded on a 16GB SanDisk class 6 card. No problems.

I bought 64 gb card and it works on samsung stock galaxy s3 rom BUT when i switched to Cyanogen10 mod it started showing damaged card,
I know it is because the stock has driver for that card,
My question is has someone ported or can someone please port the driver from stock and make it workable on custom roms.
Thanks.
Not sure what recovery your using now... but you might want to check out this post:

If your card is formatted in ExFat that might be the issue...

Thank you ! it worked! i cant thank you enough!
I'm curious,
If I were to LGPST to stock
will the ATT trustzone be reinstalled? I installed canadian trustzone to run their roms
...literally 2 days later ATT all of a sudden got all of the same roms what appeaars to be the same day.
I'd like a clean restart and was just wondering if that would do the trick
The canadians tz has waterdowned/ugly colors on this device and need to
have everything back in place. Thanks in advanced
Yes use the att jellybean tot file
TZ has nothing to do with colors thats set by the kernel but lol but yeah just use the JB tot in LGNPST.

Oops sorry for that lol.
Ever since I flashed Canadian ROMs I've seen terrible colors, I figure it was the TZ
Thanks guys
Edit: Also I was wondering if I formatted my SD card would that clean all the mods/add-ons etc
I keep all of my content on my ex-sdcard anyways

When switching roms its advised to wipe data/system/cache to prevent leftovers. You can tweak colors using trickstermod or fauxs app BTW. Posted nice color settings in the CM thread
