I am having some trouble accessing play store
the thing is when I try click on play store icon, play store will lunch and loads and then gives me this error that I need to sign into my google account
and I already have created a google account in my phone and I am using gmail ,google + and etc with it
so what do you guys recommend me to do to solve this problem?
Usual is to clear cache in settings for play store .
jje
I cleared the cache and app data in the application manager in settings but i still get the same error
Wipe your accounts and setup again

I take it is a pop up that gives you options to sign in or sign up? If so, sign in...
You might have not set up play store when setting up the phone and later just added gmail account. In that case you get that pop up since play store isn't configured yet... had that today on my old sgsl after a hard reset!
Hope that helps

Same here. But my problem is because of the country i live in. Google has blocked it or sth. Where do u live, roostaamir? Can anyone suggest a way around this? I've tried opening market ap by changing proxies from other countries. Didnt work though. I'm still with old android market btw, not google play fyi.

What country do you live in exactly?
If it's been blocked by Google then usually because there are trade sanctions against that country (Iran, North korea, ...) so helping you bypass them would probably be illegal.
Any VPN proxy should do, however.
Had the same problem with market. Deleting and re-creating device password, cause I use two-step authentication, solved the problem completely.
Because of alot of accounts having crosspaths, you should delete all google accounts and re enter them.

I am having the same issue...
I've -
- deleted cache - failed
- restored settings - failed
- reinstalled official rom - failed
I tried my account on another device and worked fine.
So, did google lock/ban my device??? Are there such cases???
ive cleared cache, cleared data, removed my accounts and reinstalled them, uninstalled updates for play store and used an old version and finally a complete factory reset and nothing works. it still says authentication required. Its so frustrating. i want modern warfare 4 so bad.

Stock ROM is SONY's official ROM, anyway assuming that you haven't root or even unlock your bootloader, try fixing it via Sony Update Service (SUS) or PC Companion.

Do one thing, go to play store in settings - apps and clear data and cache.. Sign out from your Gmail in accounts and sync... Then open play store and sign in again.. That should do the trick

Also, are you using your home wifi, or a school/uni/workplace wifi?

If everything fails, you can download Google playstore.apk XDA has it just use the search bar.

Have you tried fixing via SUS or PC Companion? If repairing didn't work, try to make a new gmail account.
Dear all,
First post here. Have been reading this wonderful forum for quite a while.
Thumbs up for all you can find here.
Now I have a problem I cannot find a solution for.....
My play store is not working via wifi.
If I connect to 3G my downloads instantly continue and finish.
Then I switch back to wifi and the download just doesn't continue. No error, just no progress.
(Funny thing, sometimes is downloads only 4,25kb and then the progress bar keeps moving, but no more data downloaded.)
All my other Google apps work fine. GTalk, Gmail, Search. It all works without a problem.
It started when I installed UltimaRom (came from Stock).
Tried to solve:
- Changing DNS. Rebooting router/modem.
- Reboot phone. Clearing Google Play cache, and GP services, signing in and out.
- Re-install with another Google Play apk
- Changed Kernel from stock to Boefla
All without result.
Am I doing something really silly here?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Rob
PS: I am on S3 GT-I9300. With latest UltimaRom 12.0.1
Edit: I responded in this old thread since I have the same problem. This thread is not for S3 though. But also didn't want to make a duplicate thread....

I just did.
No luck....but I am getting very confused now!
Some apps update, some don't. That's very strange. Before none updated at all.
I think it might be an issue with Chinese internet providers blocking something.
I am in China and they don't like google here. So sometimes it stops after the first few kb.
And sometimes doesn't start at all.
But strange that it all works with 3G.
Will dig into it.....
Thanks for your suggestions!
Rob
Moved my personal question to here in the UltimaRom Q&A thread. (Since it started after installing UltimaRom and I'm on Samsung S3).

I'm running Omega Jellybean v26 from a clean install. Everything has been working perfectly until a few days ago, maybe it was after a Titanium backup i can't quiet remember. But i get this error every time i try and install anything from the play store. Updates download fine.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Try clearing Googleframework from allapplications
A mixture off these always seem to work. Unsync Google, reboot and sync
Remove Google account and re-add
Wipe data for play store and Google services framework
Sent via TCP/IP
Clear data from Googleservicesframework in allapplications and check
Thank you will try

Recently, the Google Play store stopped working for me. It kept saying "No Connection" and the Retry button didn't do anything.
I looked up a few solutions, and none of them worked. Finally, I gave up and reset my device to factory settings.
Now, when I try to set up my account, it sits for a minute and then says "Cant establish a reliable data connection to the server".
What should I do?

By the Android Version I think you probably dont have a custom rom. Now since you don't, the easiest way without spending hours on the internet researching is to call your phone provider's technical service and they'll help you. This is a direct and easier method rather then searching online.

Sorry about that. Well if you didn't root it, you should have your warranty and Samsung would definitely help you.
I wouldn't recommend taking any device back unless you have exerted all the possibilities of a fix. People's time is precise in my opinion.
What you can do is try factory resetting your device, it might of been a issue relating to updating the Google Play (Market) application.
Hope this helps.

To clear the data, you find the application (Market) in the applications section of Settings, and then press the button that says "clear data".
I did that, and nothing changed.

Yes, my device was rooted before I reset, and it still is. I have been able to get most of my apps back by using Aptoide (alternative to Market, doesn't require google account).

Well since you have a Google account, try this. Log into your Google account on the computer. Go to the play store. Go to my apps. And download it from there. I highly doubt this will work because you don't have a connection but its worth a quick shot. Also since you do have root, did you backup your apps via titanium or any other app? You could get all your apps and data back that way.

I tried downloading from my PC, but it didn't work because the account wasn't synced. I was able to get pretty much everything back by using the Aptoide store and downloading the .apk files manually. I don't need an account on the device to use it anymore, so everything's fine.
I came out with a solution for you, but you will need to take a couple of steps to get it completely working.
First thing you need to do, is download a Play Store APK file, and save it onto your device. (Click here to download)
Next step, since you're rooted is finding a Root File Explorer to remove the Play Store file you have installed on your device. ( Try This *Note, haven't tested myself*!! ) )
When it's removed, feel free to install the play store apk from the first step to your device.
Hope this helps, is so, feel free to like.

I have faced a similar problem long back.. I have done the below steps to recover..
Uninstall updates for Playstore
Clear data for Downlaod manager
Keep the phone connected to internet and reboot
after reboot wait for couple of minutes so that Playstore update will be installed properly.. Then try updating your apps..
I've tried everything
I have tried evey solution that I could possible find to try and stop getting error 927. It's definitly linked to my google account/gmail. When I create a new gmail, everything works fine. Problem is all of my purchased apps are attached to gmail with 927 error. Someone please help. I'm desperate!!!! I have Verizon Galaxy S4. Doesn't matter what I wipe, if I'm rooted or not, or if I try using my account on my wife's S4... All give me error 927!!!

What version of the play store are you running? Also, do you have the background restricted for the play store?
Try the newest Play Store if yours is not up to date. I remember the issue in my S4 and newest version solved it after wiping data and install update.

Yes its the same account I've had going all the way back to the first Android phone. It has gotten better. I ODIn'ed back from a 4.4.2 ROM to a custom 4.3 ROM and my market works most of the time. When it starts actign up I usually have to clear data/wipe caches, restart and wait a bit for it to resync my account. Kind of a pain, but working most of the time is better than none of the time.

How are the Play store on the web working for you when signed in with the account you are having issues with. For me I have trouble loading in anything @all. Especially the top list, and my purchases.
I believe there are issues with older accounts that did not get updated/patched with new settings after ICS update, or the 3.0+ update of their store when it became Play Store and not Android market. When I use my other account all is ok, but there I have no purchased apps.
If you want you can find the 2.3.6 version of Market and replace the Play store and you will find that all issues are gone. Now I use Legazy Play store witch can be used together with normal play. Just need to push it to system/apps on 4.3 or system/priv-apps on 4.4.
Use all this advise at own risk.

Anyone have any luck with this/ age of Gmail accounts?
I just recently started having this issue on a stock GS4A on at&t. Maybe a week ago could not get updates and wrote it off as a busy server then realized this weekend I could not get anything new.
I tried every fix I could find on the forums and even a fix that the 2nd tier Google tech suggested (no different from the forum fixes other than including turning the automatic date/time on and off). Every method was a band-aid at best: one or two apps can come through before I get the 927 error or the DF-BPA-30 error. At least the error codes are consistent...
I honestly think this is related to the age of my account. I have had a Gmail account since 2007 or so when I believe it was still in beta. I am surmising that older accounts are on an older server or something that is having issues. I made two dummy accounts and could download anything I wanted, so there is nothing wrong with my handset or connections. The temporary work-around I am using is adding a secondary gmail account and adding any apps through it, while still using primary for mail, contacts, and calendar. I am not a heavy user, so it works, but I should not have to patch it together like this!
So- anyone who is getting this error; how long have you been a Google user? Anyone else tried "old vs new" for a cause of the error?
When I replied to the 2nd tier tech I told him his method did not work, but asked to look into the account itself. I'll update if I have anything to say.

Ask to get your case transferred to apps division. There I got real help. They are really good. And have helped me a lot.
There are two possible methods to solve error 927 on android:
Method 1:
Go to settings>>”All”>>Select “Google Play Store”
Now Force Stop>>Clear Data>>Clear Cache
Now again try downloading or updating the app
If the above didn’t work, go to settings>>”All”>>Select “Google Play Store”>>Uninstall Updates
Again, from “All”>> Select “Download Manager”>>Clear Data and Cache
Rerun Google Play Store and install/update your app or game
Method 2:
Go to system settings>> Accounts>>Google>>remove your Gmail account
Now from settings>>Apps>>All> Force stop, Clear data and cache for Google Play Store, Google Service Framework and Download Manager (like in method 1)
Now again go to settings>> Accounts>>Google>>Add your gmail account
Restart your android and then accept all the Google terms and setup Google settings
Rerun Google Play Store and update or install your app.
How to Fix Error 927 in Android
Free Some Space on your device
Clear data and cache files of Google Play Store
Stop or Uninstall Google Play Store (Updates)
Add New Gmail Account
Hope it helped you....
Try the methods below
Free some space on your device
Clear data and cache in Google Play Store
Add new Google account
Uninstall updates of Google Play store
It is the most annoying issue facing by many Android users, that occurs when you download or update any games and apps from the Google play store. But for me, this error solved by the just clear cache.
