Hey guys I found a list of cm10.1 nightly builds that actually work for jellybean kernel .16 here are the links and screen shots from my phone it even supports ota as well I update every day however after it downloads you have to go into safe strap 3.11 and find the folder and flash it over the current CM you do not need to wipe. I am not a developer just a flasher but I will do my best to answers questions

tried to install kexec on this apk recovery on XT910 (they released safestrap for XT910 on their domain).
The recovery does works but no success on the ROM,it just vibrates and black screen.
EDIT:Restoring Nandroid backup seems to not work after flashing kexec,it goes to the same vibrate and than black screen (than i just RSD back to Europe ICS i forgot to try wipe data and cache).
I think it means that GSM safestrap build does not initialize kexec
Talk about Kexec in It's official thread in the development section
For sefatrap work in GSM Razr XT910, you need:
* Remove All Bootmenu Files
* Install APK and Recovery
* Reboot and enter in recovery menu (menu button)
* Toogle Safe System
* Full Wipe
* Install de cm-9-20120820....
* Reboot.
With me worked fine, only waiting the Kenex

This isn't a rom, it is hashcode's newest version of safestrap (2.1.1). This version of the bootstrap allows kexec on the RAZR, kexec enables us to boot custom kernels, so full asop based roms can be developed and run on our phone. I believe dhacker and hashcode are working on a kexec enabled rom as we speak. Hello cm10!

how have the kernel development be doing before kexec? will we be able to use dev edition kernels on our standard RAZR:s, if there are any?

Before kexec there was little to none, we were/are running custom ram disk on top of the stock kernel, that's why you had to flash roms relative to what update/leak you were running. And I'd assume the dev edition razr will have the same kernel but an unlocked /unlockable bootloader.

i haven't tried it yet waiting for bootmenu. others says its faster but no camera , and as u load 2 kernels same time we got less ram.
that link is broken, looks like hashofcodes moved his work. since I am under 10 posts, so I cannot post the link. However, if you head over to Hash-of-Codes blog, you can download it there
cheers
So I have cm10 unofficial 09-26-12 installed on my razr using Safestrap 2.11.
I went back to the Motorola ICS because of the bugs that CM10 had, so now I want to update the old CM10 with the latest one 11-16-12.
However, I'm not sure if I need to update to ST v3 or would 2.11 work fine for it?
On the goo spyder section, STOCK-cm-10-20121116-UNOFFICIAL-spyder.zip
I think you must use the newest version of ST, so the 3.05.
What does the Dev say in the first post of the thread that you are going to get your rom from?

I'm getting from goo.im which doesn't have instructions.
i think safe strap is the best option for recovery.... the new version 3.0.5 .... and there will be further development on this recovery ....
Hello,
I have the OG Motorola Razr (XT912). I have flashed CM builds before on my OG Droid but they have all been the final builds. With the nightly builds is there an updater built in? Or will I have to download and flash each nightly (and do I need to wipe cache/davlik/system/factory reset in safestrap for each nightly)?

i usually do them manually i dont think there is an updater built in unless im wrong
As far as I know, there is an updater built in. I flash all my nightlies manually, but there is an updater if you go into settings>about phone>CyanogenMod updates

Thanks.
Have you read through the post here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133763
The instructions are pretty laid out. As an alternative, there's a handy youtube video that will walk you through the install as well:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHxb_0oVc74
In the video, there are links in the description that provide you with any files that may need downloaded.

Of course I have read through it how else would I know the requirements.
And the video...you also need the Christmas leak.

This is cool and all but doesn't belong in original android development

Seemed about as "Original" as the other "Original" ROMs. Even the not so "Original" ROMs. Confusing sometimes.
Sorry for the trouble. Perhaps the moderators can move this thread to the other section. Thanks.
Original development vs android development is stickied on this thread

I see it now. XDA forums aren't exactly friendly. I'm used to one thread for ROMs. Sorry folks. Let's just move on and wait for moderators to move it.
Just found this thread since it wasn't reported... moved to Android development from original...
Ouch
Would love to try this ROM but I'm in CM10 hell. Installed official latest stable build. It removed my backups I had saved. Odin won't read my phone anymore. I'm forever stuck with cm10. Anyone have any advice on how I can get back to stock root? I can get into TWRP and CM10 that's about it.

You're definitely not stuck. Just download and install any of the stock ROMs in the forum. Or fix your computer and Odin back. Not hard at all. You could even mobile Odin to stock. Whatever you want.
