1.first install any cm9 kernal
2. Boot into CWM recovery(by pressing the back key repeatedly when you see kernel logo & notification led)
3. Perform a full wipe (wipe data/factory rest, wipe cache partition & advanced > wipe dalvik cache)
4. Install JB ROM & if Google Apps is not yet included in your ROM install that too without rebooting
5. After that do NOT reboot, while still in CWM recovery, take your battery off >> wait 10 seconds & put it back again
6.Flash cm10 kernel using Flashtool then reboot.
Having same problem - solved (thanks @UP)
And when you turning ur phone on after rom install, disconnect USB

hi i installed a rom ported from xperia s but nothing is working in it...i mean no menu options no settings or nothing....i donk know why..can anyone help me out with this..the installed rom link is down here..i even have the required kernel for that and even flashed that kernel before flashing the rom....

1) Flash rom-003 and launcher
2) Now reboot, let the rom settle and reboot to recovery
3) Now flash rom-005
4) now reboot, let the rom settle.
5) Again finally reboot to recovery and flash addon pack
Before you install the CWM you wipe data / factory reset wipe Dalvik cache.
Otherwise, follow the instructions.
This i9100g doesn't belong to me. It belongs to a friend..
Here's what he told me he did:
1)Did an OTA update to the GB stock ROM
2)Phone restarted and got stuck at the logo. (It was that way when I got the phone from him)
What I did to try and fix it:
1) Flashed a ClockWorkMod Recovery kernel (GT-I9100G_ICS_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.1.2.tar) using ODIN
2) Data wipe .. Cache wipe .. Wipe /system /cache /data...Wipe Dalvik
3) Flashed CM10 (cm-10.0.0-i9100g)
4) Reboot System. It didn't work.
So again,
2) Data wipe .. Cache wipe .. Wipe /system /cache /data...Wipe Dalvik
3) Flashed CM9 (cm-9.1.0-i9100g.zip)
4) Reboot System. Things don't work out yet again.
Here's what happens:
Phone shows the exclaimation mark at boot along with the initial logo and goes directly into CWM recovery
I think this is because I am on a GB bootloader. How do I get an ICS bootloader? Is it safe to flash the stock ICS Rom over CM10 i.e., to follow this guide without messing things up (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1619571). Is there something that can be done apart from this to get CM10 working?
Just installed Resurrection Remix v5 kitkat 4.2.2
Awesome....Really Stable..
But when 8 reboot the phone..
It got struck at the screen where GTI9100 GALAXY S2 is written.
I can reboot to recovery but my Android is not booting...
I also tried cm10.2 kitkat but same issue
Need help....Really need kitkat

In some rare occasions my phone also gets stuck at the booting logo, but holding power down and restart the phone solves my problem.
Did you preform a clean install?

And what does the op say?
"1.- Wipe data / factory reset (mandatory if you coming from STOCK OR 4.2.X version or another ROM)
2.- Install the Main ROM
3- install gapps
4.- When you're back on recovery go to Advanced
5.- Wipe Dalvik Cache
6.- Fix Permissions
7.- Wipe Cache Partition
8.- Reboot"
In stead of step 1 i would suggest:
Mounting /system, /data and /cache
Format /system, /data and /cache
Then proceed with step 2 etc...
Everything will be lost so make a back-up with titanium backup. (don't back-up/restore system apps)
Clean Install

okay.what you do is not enough . and as you mentioned , you need to reboot recovery(under advanced ) after you flash the compatible recovery .
I recommend ..
1) flash compatible recovery ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2546597 ) and reboot recovery
2)wipe data
3)wipe cache
4)wipe dalvik cache(in advanced )
5)go to mounts and storage and format system , data , cache
6) flash the rom and compatible gapps and leave the rom after flashing for like 10 minutes ( leave it in the recovery , untouched )
7) after you are back , reboot system and let the rom boot up .
8) after it boots up and you set it up ( like setting time , date , account ) leave the rom untouched again .. say for an overnight so that it gets the time to settle .. the next day .. start customizing and installing apps like you did .
P.S. : I would recommend not to flash a custom kernel as of yet as kernels are in beta stages as of now
All the best !

i'm really puzzled on how to flash Cyanogenmod rom on my xperia p
im running miui rom now and want to move to cyanogenmod, what do i need to do?
do i need to go through the first method or the 2nd method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/p-development/-t2626639
First time flashing CyanogenMod 11.0 your device, or coming from another ROM? You need to be on Unlocked bootloader
Fastboot kernel from the rom zip
Press power button when Device vibrates to enter CWM recovery
Format system,data and cache
Flash the Zip
Reboot
Issues?
Updating From Previous Version
Download the ROM zip from OTA apps or from given links
Reboot to recovery [Press power button when Device vibrates to enter CWM recovery]
Wipe cache and dalvik cache
Flash the ZIP
Reboot

Try this first.
If your device is stuck at boot animation or facing boot loop issues then try the following steps:
Disconnect your phone from computer, close Odin and remove phone's battery. Reinsert it back within 3 to 4 seconds, re-launch Odin and then repeat the tutorial from step 4.

Otherwise, just go into your recovery and flash a custom KitKat or a Lollipop ROM. This method would remove all the data present on the phone, so I am assuming that you took a backup before handling odin. To flash a ROM, do this:
1. Download ROM and GApps and put them in your storage(MOUNT SDCARD FROM THE RECOVERY ITSELF)
2. Wipe Data/Factory Reset
3. Wipe Cache Partition
4. Advanced>Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Flash ROM AND GApps
6. Reboot system.
Then you're good to go.
Regards.
