Either the ROM was corrupted when you downloaded it, meaning you need to re-download it, or the filename is wrong.
Normal ODIN expects ".tar.md5" files. That's a tar file that has been processed using md5sum to create a hash of the original tar, then the md5sum is tacked on to the end. If you just rename a ROM's .tar file to .tar.md5, then you'll have an invalid signature. If the download wasn't clean, you'll also have a bad signature.
So, don't rename something.tar into something.tar.md5. If you didn't do that, and re-downloading doesn't fix it, then find another site for the ROM.
As i learned from this forum most of p7500 tablets have sold with locked bootloader. So that we need to find out how to unlock it 1st. I tried to find any solution for unlocking the bootloader some ways all over the net but i couldn't find anything except legal unlock operation by a service. Did anybody find a solution for unlocking p7500 bootloader?

We don't have to unlock our bootloader, unless you have the 10.1v or the Google i/o version, if I'm not mistaken. If you have the plain old P7500/P7510, there is no need to unlock anything.

Nope, just flash a custom recovery and you're good to go. Just to be safe, upgrade to stock ICS first if you haven't.

I repeat, we don't have to unlock anything. Go see every flashing tutorial on this forum, none says we have to unlock the bootloader.
About that error, which version of Odin did you use? Try v1.87: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dib0w993qc284ki/Odin3v1.87.zip

I have used odin v1.85.
I hope you are right eushaun. I'll try v1.87 as soon as possible and write the result here too.
Thank you very much for your help.

didn't succeed odin v1.87
I tried it with odin v1.87 but result is the same. "invalid binary signature" :crying:
Any other suggestion?
By the way my tab has a custom firmware I think. What should I post here to learn what is my firmware actually? Build.prop?

Where did you get the .tar.md5 ROM file?
Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk
Sammobile.com There are two versions for Turkey. I tried both "tur" and "trc" firmwares.

Then I've really got no clue. I thought that maybe the site that you downloaded the ROM had a bad upload or something. But sammobile is pretty reliant. Sorry buddy.

As i said before, I am sure what I am doing for flashing new firmware to that old p7500 tablet. I just wonder how the manufacturer locked the tablet for flashing new firmwares and is there a way to bypass it and flash successfully.

Bumping is against the rules .
Not searching is also against the rules.
There are enough posts on the subject .

I couldn't find. What about share them ?
Maybe a sticky with the latest stock ROM
I am searching 20 minutes now and I can't find the latest stock ROM.
I suspect if you have root there is no way of getting it.
Someone more knowledgeable should help here.
This is not a bump
I have flashed the XXELLA but every morning my phone says there is an update, but I can't get it because the device has been modified (Root)
Help please?

It's not. You can bump your thread but not more than once every 24 hours.
U cant update using kies or phone since rooted kernel modified the system dafaults..the official update will detect it and prevent from updating...the only way is to download the ota file from sammobile.com and flash using odin

Hello guys.
I want to install hell fusion kernel, but in his post he give a pda.tar archive without .pit. What happens if I flash pda without that?
What is archive .pit? And what is it work?
P.D: Sorry for my English level

AW: [Q] Odin .pit
Just flash it without .pit.
pit is for re-partition.

Honestly, there has not been a serious use of pit files in past
But they are necessary if you mess up with partitions such as EFS, boot or recovery
Usually due to lack of know about mount points of partitions

Which rom were you running? With knox? If yes, try flashing the same rom again. I read somewhere that you cannot go back to an earlier firmware if you flash knox enabled firmware. Check with shazzl.
Ok will download latest firmware. Thanks for your reply. I'll get back to you.

Was running stock Sammy firmware and then flashed old one because I didn't want to take any more risks but I screwed up lol. Now bricked

Would the firmware have to be from the same region ?

I've been dying to root my second Samsung and as far as I know it's not possible to root coi9 at the moment? I hope I'm wrong
Coi9 requires a custom kernal that installs supersu and sets selinux to permissive

So it's not possible flashing the kernel and and supersu sperately through odin? Like Using Alex V recovery in 5.1.1
No that kernal does all of the tweaks and installs during bootup and then you can flash the custom recovery for tour device

Here is how to root but on your device you may loose the use of the fingerprint scanner.
Also go to sammobile and get your latest firmware available for download and get the latest odin from there as well. I always do those steps before alter my device as reassurence that i can restore in case of soft brick

There is a cf-autoroot that you can use for the g925f and g925p it isntalls into recovery then you boot to recovery wait a while and it roots MM. If you do not have either device please state so.
