It probably won't. I had their EVO 4G version with the slot to charge the extra battery and that didn't either.
if you have a case on your phone do you have to take the case off to make it fit when charging?
Seems like it, may work with the stick on decal skin though. Why can't they make an removeable insert like the iGrip car dock is beyond me....
I would like to know if it will activate dock mode on the phone.

Thanks for the info! I actually think I like that one better than the one I ordered off of ebay a few days ago. I may get this one too and then have one for work and one for home, but I use the Defender at work so that would be an issue...I dont know, just thinking out loud...
I had my eye on that one for about a month and kept searching for a US seller to buy it from as it would be easier to return if anything was wrong with it. I finally found one last week at Amazon that looks like the same one, but rebranded: "RND Power Solutions Deluxe 2nd Battery Charger and Data Sync Cradle / Desktop Docking Station for HTC EVO 3D".
Search Amazon for ASIN: B005DIJOZQ and you'll find it.
The one I ordered arrived today and I am now testing it. So far, so good. It does a good job of charging the phone and holds the device at a good angle for watching shows, etc. I watched two episodes of 'Game of Thrones' on HBOGo using this cradle tonight.
I like the spare battery slot because it holds the battery upright instead of horizontally and uses less desk space. I'm still charging a battery in the slot now, so I can't tell you how well the spare battery slot works yet, outside of noting it is a bit of a snug fit, even for the OEM battery that came with my Evo, but it does seem to fit.
There are two LED lights on the front. So far, the left light remains blue and the right light remains green. I haven't seen them change as I've charged batteries or removed phone or battery from the phone, so I'm not sure they do anything significant at all.
I'll report back when I've had enough time to charge the spare battery in the slot now. I am very interested to hear reports from anyone who buys the Kidigi branded cradle too. I need a second cradle so I have one for the home and another for work, and I'm waiting to buy the second until I've had some time to test this one.
Oh yeah, I can confirm that the RND branded cradle I ordered from Amazon only fits the phone in the original case or at least cases that add no extra dimension to the Evo 3D. Also, the spare battery slot would not fit an extended battery that is larger in dimension than the original battery.

The RND model I bought does not activate dock mode automatically. If it truly is the Kidigi model with rebranding, then I expect the Kidigi model doesn't either.
It looks nice...not a bad price either...

My eBay dock came in today and I love it! Big thing for me is charging an extra battery, which the eBay dock does. Also, my phone fits in the dock with either the HTC silicone case or the Otterbox Impact, but the charging nipple doesn't go in deep enough to trigger charging. I'm sure that could be modified to work quite easily though if anyone cared to, I don't....

After testing the RND dock I posted about yesterday, I have found that the spare battery slot doesn't work very well. You have to fiddle with a battery to get it to make a good contact and it's pretty unreliable for charging the spare.
The dock section for the phone works well, but if you are like me and want a dock that simultaneously charges a spare battery, pass on the RND model.
If someone has a better experience with the Kidigi model, I'd be interested in hearing about it. I still think it likely these are the same cradle branded differently, but I could very well be wrong. The pictures just look too close for comfort for me.
supposedly, the Seidio model, which does NOT have a spare battery compartment, does activate dock mode, and since there are removable inserts, will fit phone with some cases still on them..I ordered one, and hoping for delivery today or tomorrow
copped the kidigi model finally after going back and forth
I really wanted that one as well, but, I don't want to have to take my case off constantly to dock the phone when at my desk; I hope the Seidio dock allows for my otter box to stay on while docked..
I tried to order that Kidigi dock when they first posted it, but even a month ago, they were only saying "tentative" shipping in August...Let us know how it works for you!

Do you have a link or a brand name?
Ok so yeah real easy question i guess we might not know for another 2 weeks but like i already ordered most of my accessories ahead of time Im down to the Car dock.
I currently have the OGEvo and use the htc car dock every day. Literally, If the phone is not in my hand it is in the dock.
I understand they have the same general size but I am wondering if the E4GLE is the same shape and if it fits in the HOX Car Dock?
***Update
So Engadget updated its review of E4GLE and they said "shorter by one millimeter and wider than the international One X by four-tenths of a millimeter." Soooo...
That means that the E4GLE should fit nicely into the HOX car dock. Even better with full body skin it should still fit without problem. Which was an issue with my OGEvo dock, cause the official dock would rub off the top part of body skin.
Im ordering my Dock.
www.engadget.com
Don't know if I would risk it. I love my OG htc evo dock, but with the charging port on the side, its gonna be a little different setup, maybe more like moto docks. I am just gonna wait for the official dock.
I would keep an eye:
http://www.seidioonline.com/category-s/7878.htm
there, That is the Car Dock that I have for my HTC Evo 4G. Works great. They made one for the EVO 3D as well that had the side charge port. So I don't see why they won't have a new one for the LTE.
Will
I have also pre-ordered the E4GLE, yet I almost didn't because I have been unable to get information from Sprint or HTC on the dock. I do not the the dimensions of the One X are almost identical, a millimeter off on the width. So it may fit but it's still a gamble.
I use the car dock on my Nexus One every day. My phone is my nav and I can't really justify not having an OEM made car dock. If nothing is announced by launch day I may have to return the E4GLE and get the One X, even though I'd rather have the E4GLE.
Update!
B-)
shorter by one millimeter and wider than the international One X by four-tenths of a millimeter.
I dunno about the official dock, but i've bought vehicle specific mounting plates from proclip and then combined it with a slipgrip car mount from ebay with great results, just had to run wires for a 3.5mm/microusb connection for power and music. The slipgrip guy makes docks for certain cases too so i think im going to email him about that.

I swear by ProClips. It will take a while for ProClips to make a car dock until they get one in their hands. And when they do. I just need the phone dock part and not the car dock part.

I'm with ya, it took so long for them to make one for the OG evo that i looked to the slipgrip guy who actually made it for both the seidio innocase as well as the HC ballistic case. He epoxies the holder to whatever interface (suction cup, bike mount, vent mount) but i just asked him in the order to ship the two separate. I then did some modifications to the holder so it would screw in to the pivot joint that comes with the proclip holders, turned out pretty well. If history repeats with seidio's timeline, then i'll just have to do the same for this phone.
Does the LTE Evo not have pegs like the Nexus?
Plugging and unplugging both my OG Evo 4G and Evo 3D from the car dock (both are OEM, every other one I tried was even worse) scratches the living hell out of the power jacks. It's irritating as hell that they don't do audio through the dock as well. I guess with that new bluetooth 4.0 dongle, I won't have to worry about that.
I have the dock for the EVO 3D from Seidio and it also scratches around the charge port. Not much I can do about it:-(

the dock is made by ibolt. I just put mien in this morning. very good feel. they give you some foam pads to level the phone is using with a case with the insert removed. that part was a little cheesy, but actually worked well. pretty happy with it.
so did the OP ever try out the car dock for the one x?
i just ordered one from slipgripcarmounts. they are custom molded so you can leave your case on. does anyone know if there any good? Ill post a review if anyone wants..

NFC Compatible UPDATE at Bottom
This QI receiver pad works much better than the first one I tested. It's ability to work with the LG WCP-700 is a huge perk. The pad looks wider, it fits better, works with more pads, works through most cases with no issues etc.
Out of the two I've used so far, this one is better in every way... So far...
By request... This is the auction I purchased it from.

EDIT (4/27/2014):
NFC Receiver UPDATE
Well I got really busy after I purchased a third receiver and didn't publish any information until now. Why did I purchase a third receiver? Well it was because of NFC. The second receiver is still the best with charging, but this one is a close second. I could not get NFC to work with the second receiver. This one will work through most cases.
eBay Link: I'm posting search results. Just match up the model with the one in the video. It's easier this way in case some of the auctions end.

OK, thanks for clarifying!
awesome video, I was looking at that receiver as well, have had good experience with that brand yipin or yieneng on m s4.
the biggest quest for me is does it bulge? the s4 there was a spot where the chips would fit in the notch for the microsd, but I dont see a notch on the note 3 so I wonder if they designed it to fit in some kind of recessed area?
Thanks in advance.
See the 3 pins where you connect the wireless receiver:
Top one is +5v.
Second one is Ground.
Thrid one is for S-View Cover (+) - (in case you wonder that the heck is that for)
In the event that you have a S-view Cover, you just have to use second as a common ground between the receiver and the S cover.

This receiver is pretty thin in everyway, as with all receiver, you will get the bulge, but you will not really notice it, would you rather have a receiver that has no bulge that does not work well or a receiver that has a slight bulge and does what you expect.
Can you still fit a case on with this installed? I have a hard case sedio with a kick stand and do not want to give it up.

getting the official one in a few days too and will review it when i get it. ordered a second official one from clove uk. my original order for the official one made in early october from mobilefun hit the wall from the scamsters at mobilefun. was repeatedly getting emails saying delivery delayed and whether i will accept alternate product (please note no mention of refund in any email), then a week or so ago saw on their website that it was in stock but still didnt get delivery and got another email saying further delays and saw on website that it was sold out!!!. so sent them email to send it or give refund after cancelling order. they replied with email saying order cancelled and that was nearly 2 weeks ago and yet to get refund. so have raised a claim at paypal and those scumbags havent yet responded to paypal claim and 8 days now since i have escalated this to a claim at paypal and mobilefun havent yet bothered to reply to my paypal claim. if dont get my refund will escalate it to fraud complaint with my credit card issuer against mobilefun. paid via credit card via paypal to mobilefun website in early october. just mentioning this here so that other people dont get scammed like i have been at mobilefun.

Thanks for your videos. I love wireless charging but on the note 3 it's been a bittersweet scenario...got the oem samsung charging back but there are no cases that fit that (at least that I've found) so I'm stuck choosing between a case and wireless at the moment. Your thread has given me some hope though about the possibility of using the original back with an insert that actually works and still be able to fit a case.
One question - does the phone with insert in & case on "rock" when it's on a flat surface? For example, when you have it flat on a desk/table/etc and you hit the home button on the note - does it "rock" toward you and then back after lifting your finger? This is so annoying to me and I wake the device with the home key a lot at work...it'd probably be a deal-breaker for me, but if you can share your insight I might avoid another bit of money wasted.
Thanks!
Has anybody found a good car dock for this? I've been using this one http://amzn.com/B0089VO7HE which I like quite a lot, but the charge port is obscured by those rests at the bottom. Also I think the One max is a bit too heavy for it, as it slowly angles down with time.
Anybody find a good car dock that works well with the One max? Most I find are either really bulky, with a bunch of adjustable joints, or would cover up the charge port or buttons on the side. Verizon's website says this http://www.verizonwireless.com/accessories/windshield-mount fits it, but I was curious if anybody had found any others before I went ahead and bought this. All the reviews say this one seems to bounce around quite a lot as you drive.
I had a Ibolt with my note 2 and it worked great; no bouncing or shifting.

That looks pretty sweet. Looking at the one for the Galaxy S3/S4/Note 2/Note3 (http://amzn.com/B00AOCSFYC) it looks like it might work fine for the One max. You'd have to face the phone the other way so the top mount wasn't touching the power/volume buttons, but that shouldn't be a big deal.

might want to be careful with getting one designed for samsung devices since they have a tendency to flip the usb port
i use the same one i used with my dna, which looks to be the same general design. and all i do is slide the phone over a little so the top brace doesnt sit on the power button
http://www.amazon.com/iBOLT-xProDock-Kit-for-HTC/dp/B00AOCUP6S
FWIW I just kept my Samsung dock (http://amzn.com/B0089VO7HE) and broke off the bottom right support, which was blocking the USB charge port on the One max. It doesn't look as good, but I melted the plastic with a lighter to remove most of the rough edges, so at least it's now functional, and can handle my DNA or my One max.
I sold my dock for my note 2 on Ebay when I got this phone..
wondering if there are any other car dock options out there, reasonably priced..

But can you put the phone in the HTC dock while the case is on it? I have this case http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G1PI73K/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I ordered this dock a few days ago; less than 1/2 the price, and it looks like it will fit with a case on the phone, as long as its 3.4 inches or less in total width..
Do people not have many tried and trusted docks they use? I'm using a universal tablet phablet car holder which is rubbish. It was fine back when I had a iPad mini. And my Xperia ZU because they had bigger bezels around screen but with this the 3 hooks take up a cm on phone plus its off centre as hooks would touch power button and vol. Do people have solutions. I have a HTC flip case at present and will most likely get a power flip case. But want a holder to allow for that.

I got this Proclip Extra Large Adjustable and hopefully won't have to get another even if my next phone is slightly bigger. It fits my One Max nicely with a TPU case and some room for growth. It says Note 2 and 3 which just means it's big. The phone slides in/out easily and has a little room in the back for air flow. No problem plugging/unplugging the charger.

Well one of the things I missed the most after getting the HTC One Max was wireless charging. It'd be nice to have a case that made use of the Pogo pins or something else, but this will have to do for now. If someone knows of a better solution, please comment below.
Total cost was $16 for the a TPU case and wireless charging receiver pad with MicroUSB cable.

The WCP 700 by LG is one of my favorites since the pad is so big. I did remove the speaker from it cause the fully charged notice is annoying.
I wouldn't get the angled Google Orb all WCP 400. It's harder to find the right spot especially with a larger device.
The Nokia DT-900 can usually be found for a good price online. It isn't bad. Just don't get the vertical stand which is the DT-910.
Oh and the LG WCP-300 is affordable too.
If you want to pick these up locally and you might find the WCP-700 and 300 at Verizon. The Nokia DT-900 is probably at AT&T.

Haven't run it down all the way much, but the charge rate is about half the USB cable. I'll post some charts I've collected in the next few days.

You know anywhere you can currently find one of these?
The link is sold out already and the other KR-Net QI receiver pads posted on amazon/ebay all have the cable coming out the opposite side of the connector (the usb cable would be coming up to the screen instead of behind the phone, once its plugged in).
I would like to combine this with my power flip case. A prong solution wouldn't be good for people already using a case that takes advantage of the prongs.
In general they are universal solutions. Here is a link to one:

Type B
I picked this one because the cord is shorter. As an update to the OP, the receiver finally gave out from changing cases quite a few times. The cord was so long that it had to be stuffed under the case.
Let us know how it works out when you get to try it.
Does anyone happen to know the pinout for the pogo pins on this phone? I just got one through work, and need to use usb connection frequently enough that I don't trust the connector on these. However, I have a dual layer Incipio case, and think it would be fairly easy to put the coil on the outside of the rubber portion, but under the plastic outer cover. Then use the pogo pins for the charging connection.
