I'm asking because I've tried everything. The only Rom that has working GPS for me was Jelly Beans 12. And yes, I've tried flashing back to that room then flashing to the newest build. Doesn't work. I tried using apps like GPS status. That also doesn't work.
I'm at a complete loss at the moment. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Any chance of flashing back to Stock to see if its a ROM issue or an internal antenna ? If you can determine if its hardware then Samsung Warranty / Verizon Extended Warranty will replace it w/o any money out of pocket.

I had issues with my GPS after I flashed and international based rom but if you flash back to a completely stock rom and then get a satellite fix with gps status. and then WITH the satellite fix go ahead and reboot into recovery and flash any ROM.. that works for ME.
I THINK I used scott's stock rom.
Can't remember
I'm on beans 13 now gps works great. Btw.. .

Had to go through this with the crappy HTC Thunderbolt on AOSP
Why is the grass always greener? When I had the Thunderbolt it felt like all the Samsung devices (S2, S3, Note 1) all were steamrolling the ROM scene flawlessly without error. Was really hoping the Note 2 would feel like that for a change =/

For some reason gps is a total ***** to get working on a non-aosp phone, running aosp. I think it is because their drivers are looking for touchwiz specific stuff. Seems like most phones are plagued with this issue at some point.

GPS with CM 10.1 nightly 2/21
I'm running the 2/21 CM 10.1 nightly and GPS is still wonky for me. Can't get a lock unless you turn off network and WiFi assist. I'm wondering if others are having the same issue but no one seems to be talking about it in the dev section. Been on CM 10.1 from the start. BT is great now but GPS is still a no-go for me.
Edit: tried fixes 1 & 2 from the Q & A and so far nothing.

On the latest nightly's (I believe starting from 2/17) GPS has been fixed, the issue before was that if you had WiFi and Mobile network location on it would not lock, but like I said it has been fixed and works exactly like it should. I can now get a lock in under 5 seconds outdoors and within 30 seconds indoors.

I don't think so. You can always flash previous version here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040264 and get it OTA updated.

You should never use *228 on an lte device. It usually cooks the sim card. I would go to stock and probably get a new sim now. A ROM usually can't affect signal unless it's an AOSP ROM, but if that's the only variable changed then it would make sense to undo it.

I doubt it, its pretty straightforward. Flash the radio in recovery. Done.
You might try reflashing the ROM, dirty flash it over itself. Of course make a nandroid first.

I had that happen with the CleanROM ACE 4.9 variant. I wasn't able to get a GPS lock either. Dirty flashing the ROM sorted my data connectivity, but not the GPS. I'm on something different now, but thought I'd share that much.

The CleanRom ACE issue can be fixed with simply using Faster GPS to change the conf. My experience with it was it would show it didn't find you but 5 minutes later it would.

Flashed ROM's that Guaranteed to fix the GPS. NADA
Installed apps that said it would get lock. NADA
Nothing worked so as a retired Submarine Missile Technician I went to the nuclear option.:fingers-crossed:
I got a Rom I thought would be close to stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261478 got the Deodex ver.

Booted to recovery and "factory reset" 5X
Wiped Cash and delvac 5X
One more reset. (Said I was nuking it)
Flashed the rom and Gapps, went outside and got Lock
Did what I do be overkill?......yep. But I got GPS lock back. (also flashed Faux kernal and kept lock)

If you're willing to try something switch to global mode reboot and try gps again. You may need to use an app like pimp my rom. You'll most likely lose data. This works on moon rom, obviously this makes the rom unusable for anything phone related until you switch back to lte which losses gps. If anyone is willing to try this let me know if it worked for you. I'm trying to figure out why some of us are affected with this weird issue.

I have no issues with any Verizon based roms such as Clean or Beans, but any ported or intnl rom I cannot get the GPS to come on or get a fix. I have tried every fix that I can find applicable to Note 2 and even some s3 on every forum that has come up in searches. Would love to use Novella, but still looking for a fix that will make this dang Verizon Note 2 work. Tried different firmware/basebands, replacing or adding the proper libs, getting a fix on a different rom then flashing, GPS fix trick with restore, still no dice. I am still looking for something that will work. Even tried the "press upper right corner thing" and tighten screws. And combinations of all those things. I know its not a GPS problem with hardware as it works on every Verizon based rom. Good luck...I am still looking.

let it sit for a minute or two after youve gone through the aroma installer. and it gives the green button to reboot. no need to wait ten mins but i have locked my phone up a few times flying through install and rebooting right away. if it happens though just pull your battery and pop it right back in and itll boot back to recovery. then i always flash again
