Windows apps .exe in Android - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Themes and Apps

Wine for Linux is going mobile: You will
soon be able to run Windows apps on
Android
Wouldn’t it be great if you could run
Windows applications on your Android
smartphone or tablet? Well, that may one
day be a reality, and the person who is
working on the new project is the best man
for the job. That’s right: Wine for Android is
coming.
For those who don’t know, Wine (WINdows
Emulator or Wine Is Not an Emulator) is an
open source application that allows
applications designed for Windows to run on
Unix operating systems such as Linux (there
are also ports to OS X, FreeBSD, and
Solaris). The project features the software
library Winelib, against which developers
can compile Windows applications to help
port them to Linux.
The Wine software is being ported to
Google’s mobile operating system by
Alexandre Julliard, the original developer
behind the project. Julliard, who is employed
by CodeWeavers to work on Wine, briefly
showed off Wine on Android on Sunday in
Brussels.
According to a report from Phoronix,
performance was horrendously slow, but
this was simply because Wine was running
on an emulated Android environment, rather
than on an actual device: “Julliard uses an
Apple MacBook for development of his
software that runs on Linux to run Windows
software… Android was emulated for his
demo.”
While Wine for Android likely won’t be
release-ready for quite some time, the fact
that Julliard already has a working version
is impressive and promising. Android users
have been asking about getting Wine running
on Android for years, and now it’s finally
something that is possible....

Probably not as this is geared toward making games foor buth android and the Vita and the Vita can already run psp games. Porting those games would not be necessary for a significant part of the audience you try to reach.

[Q] Blackberry playbook android porting

Blackberry playbook price have been downsized by 50% so its a great buy only if android porting can be done, can any of our port android for it...... it would be great........
If you're asking if Android applications can be ported to the BlackBerry Playbook, then the answer is yes.
Research in Motion recently released OS 2.0 which allows for Android emulation on the Playbook. I believe it emulates Android 2.3.3. Using their freely available tools, you can convert your application apk to their bar format and it will function correctly on the Playbook.
However, there are some limitations to what Android abilities you can port. For example I heard you cannot port applications with ads. I believe there is a list of cans and cannots you can perform on OS 2.0.
I hope this answered your question.
Yes you can port android apps very easily using rims online tools, I did so myself to win a playbook. You can't use admob ads in your apps but I think other ad providers are supported just not google.
When you use their online tools they will tell you if your apps are compatible.

Sure but windows is a closed source OS,so unless you can make drivers for ever peace of hardware in the device you have no chance.
Plus the only version that will run on ARM processors is Windows 8 RT which requires a special locked boot loader.
Short answer not possible
Long answer...would take alot of people alot of hacking to even have a chance of something even then likely not to happen.
However you could install Linux very easily!

Sure but I still really highly doubt it seeing how locked down Microsoft plans to make Windows 8 RT
Personally I would rather see a complete working native boot of Ubuntu first.
But stranger things have happened so we shall have to wait and see
I like Ubuntu
I hope someday someone will port Ubuntu in Xperia Neo.
BTW, I faced some problem when I installed Ubuntu in my pc but I like the UI

there are a lot of thing windows can which other can't and windows is a part of life

You should buy iPhone in the first place if you love iPhone.
But seriously, I don't think there is an iOS emulator available for android.
Anyways here's some google suggestions based on the same here at XDA.

I agree, if he likes the phone he should get it.
They do offer a trial period, and all three major US carriers carry it.
I found this page via a search. going through three pages on google only one looked promising, but the developer page disappeared with no explanation before the kickstarter funds were picked up. They halted donations after that.
This page, on the first page was the only page that didn't appear to be a scam or spam. Many didn't even do IOS, they just threw in a bunch of keywords. Perhaps someone will see this thread and either develop an emulator, or direct us to one. After all this page was high on the list.
Searching specifically here, I found a thread that ended up a Happy Birthday Pandemic thread.
I am just trying to run a legit app that is made for IOS that the developer didn't want to rewrite for Android.
You love 'I phone'? Alight. Your title is REALLY misleading.
Way 1: install Windows on your android first and run an iOS SDK second.
Way 2: download an iOS theme compatible with your current launcher.
Way 3: sell you android to by an iPhone3G/3GS.
Way 4: ... ...
Try joyos its an iphone themed rom:good:

Really is there one? There is no such Emulator on android. I also tried to search, and found out even iOS can't be emulated properly on computer. You can emulate only your created apps. There is one called iosonandroid.com or .net but it is total fake.

I totally agree with you. Not just iPhone, but every Apple device is a joke.
Just notice, Apple brought personal computers and Mac OS.Windows, Linux etc knocked it out. Apple pioneered in Smartphones. Now totally thwarted off by Androids. Even Chinese clone phones are better that iPhone.

Sorry, but what u wrote is really embarrassing. I'm NOT an apple fan and I prefer using android much much more than iOS. But apple was the start of all that and Jobs its inventor. Without Apple, Windows and Linux wouldn't be that far advanced as they are today. Apples inventions and OS X's progress is the basis of today's computers. That's the fact we have to admit, no matter how badly we hate apple or not.
It's really cheeky to write something like u did, It's disrespectful towards apples former work. That's what I wanted to tell you.

NO YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG.
It was C which started all this OS business. It was Dennis Ritchie who made C language should get credit. NOT APPLE
All Windows, Apple iOS are created by C.
If someone deserves credit, then it is Dennis Ritchie.
